Quiet. Trash picked up daily. Safe and gated. Beautiful setting. Didn't mind not having WiFi or laundry facilities with the beautiful camp setting. Whatever issues this park may have had in the past, as of April 2018, it's fantastic. - TNorton
Mar 2018 - $35.00
There has been recent flooding, but the rest of the campgrounds have been neglected. Pull thru sites were not accessible due to tree branches hanging too low. Sites looked junky. Did not stay, kept driving. - Ilona

We actually enjoy our time at Collin Park - the area is always well kept and trash free and is nice and quiet. We don't use the shower or bathroom facilities, but I see people in an out when we stay. Management is very thorough with inspection, and as stated below, enforce certain things like 1 vehicle backed in, in front of your rig. Because of space, if more than one vehicle were allowed on the campsite, it would be chaotic getting in and out of the slips...and if you give an inch, some will take a mile. I am an advocate for this rule! There are plenty of additional parking spots near the marina (1-minute walk from the sites.) The management team has been nothing but friendly with us the 2-3 times we have stayed with them - in fact, we missed the rule about no fire pits, and brought one with us during our first stay. They said something when we checked out - very nice about it, just a reminder not to bring it next time. If you are looking for a nice, serene spot to enjoy camping with your family, this is a great option! - afrazier206

Laundry facilities, extended stay pet friendly nice staff and a very honest owner. Was a great second choice. I would highly recommend this place. - Packerwood

If you ride a motorcycle or have a medium to large sized dog, pass on this park. It is all very large rock that is not packed very well. It's like riding in quick sand. All back up spots. Very close quarters with newly planted trees between. Price reflects weekly rate and no discounts are offered. Ladies in the office are very friendly, however, be prepared to complete enough paperwork to feel like you are purchasing a house. Will stay down the road at Shady Creek if in the area again. Mostly permanent residents. Road to the furthest park is in dire need of repairs - 1Delikateflower

Needed a place close to Plano and Mckinney. Very quiet place with easy access to Plano, McKinney, Allen. Spots are large gravel close to level spots. Wide roads and beautiful crepe myrtles all around. Wi-fi was terrific. Has large dog walking area which was great but hadn't been mowed in a while so grass was shin high. Has laundry area and people both in office and staying at park were very friendly. Would definitely stay again. - Deidre12

Aug 2018 - $50.00
I have stayed in several RV parks through the years but this one is the very top of the list from park conditions, amenities, cleanliness and staff on down. They have two very nice laundry facilities with huge nice showers (GOOD shampoo, body gel and conditioner supplied) and a TV “media” room with WIFI so you can be online surfing and checking emails while waiting on clothes to finish. They have extended stay which I am doing now, catch and release fishing pond, access to small fishing boat and bar b q areas as long as you clean them the way you found them but the best thing I seen within the first 10 minutes if pulling in.... security. Everyone in the park makes sure no one is in the park unless they are greeted, quizzed and making sure your property is always safe. I hope to be here a long time. The owners are awesome country people and they are about to start construction on a new laundry facility with a few additional storage spaces in addition to the 8 on site already for their tenants convenience. I can not give enough positive information about this place. It is perfect for the people who like RV living. - Packerwood
Mar 2018 - $45.00
My wife and I needed an RV space near Allen, Texas for about a week in order to help family who live in Allen. When I called Countrytime the lady who answered the phone said they were full for the dates we needed. A few days later she called me back to tell me they had a last minute opening. I appreciate this lady's initiative and it paid off; we booked the site. The facility is very nice, but a bit hard to find. Google Maps will NOT find it. We ended up calling when we got close and the owner gave us very good directions to guide us in. The facility is all gravel roads and sites, but they appear to be well maintained and our site was reasonably level. We had a water leak at the water shut off valve for our site however, we reported it and it was fixed that same day. The park is virtually full of full timers and residents, but the interaction we had with the folks we met was very pleasant, a nice group of people. This park is very quite day and night. The showers, restrooms, and laundry were clean and in good repair. We would definitely consider staying there again, if they have an open site! - jnmking

GPS Co-ordinates are: N33 4.94', W96 29.74' as Country View Trail is too new to be listed. Half mile of rock road to park entry. Interior roads are rock also. New park and nice owners. Small, clean laundry, private lake for fishing (catch and release) and short distance from Lake Lavon for swimming, boating and other fishing. Good, free WiFi, nice size spaces with a few smaller shade trees and grass. Park is still being developed with a picnic pavilion nearly complete. Each site has individual mailbox with it's own address. If you are in the area it is a good, very quiet choice. - PDDeen

May 2018 - $30.00
I was not optimistic about our visit here based on some of the past reviews. However, there is much to recommend here and I think it would be a shame not to visit this facility based on some of the negative reviews. The spaces provided are large, mostly level with asphalt driveways and covered picnic table. Backing in our 39ft motorhome was very easy. Electric hookup was in good shape as was the water connection. One note, there is info on the electric box that indicates that 40 amp is the max delivered from the stand in any combination of connections. But that proved plenty for two ac's and the fridge, lights and electronics used over the course of the weekend. Grass was recently mowed and clippings evidenced some fairly tall grass prior to mowing. This was Memorial Day weekend and the facility was full, but things were relatively quiet and the lake had plenty of room for more watercraft. There was a new restroom/shower facility near our #10 slip and, though I did not use it, my wife said it was very clean and functional. The best entry road is Forest Ross Rd and it is not in very good shape - slow speed and evasive maneuvers are the order of the day. Once in the park, road surfaces are in much better shape. A retaining wall adjacent to the shore is the victim of high water elevations that weren't expected to ever occur again, or so it was claimed by the "experts". Repair will be costly and time consuming and it won't happen for some time, I'm sure, but it's more of a cosmetic issue and will not prevent you from enjoying the lake. I don't know if it was due to the holiday, but we saw regular rounds being made by park rangers and the Wylie PD, so we felt really secure and there was absolutely no monkey business. All I can say is, go and have a good time. - Shifting Gears
Oct 2017 - $30.00
I almost didn't try this park because of negative reviews. I found it to be just fine and would stay again. Spacious, level sites with crushed gray rock to back into. If it isn't exactly level; try moving 2-3 ft in the driveway. A lot of the sites are in direct sun; but many have some partial shade. The grass had been cut fairly recently. I imagine they use a bush hog due to the size of the property so it probably will never be like your front yard at home. They don't have that many campsites considering the size of the property which may affect their budgeting for maintenance. Don't let gps bring you in by the dam if coming from the east because that is a bumpy road. The best route is coming in by Wal-Mart. There are pot holes the last 100 yds before the guard shack. Not as pristine as other COE campgrounds but it is functional and clean. The row of sites nearest the water have nice views of the lake without being lakefront. In mid-October; bugs weren't really a problem except for some spiders building webs on the covered tables. My biggest knock on the park is the closed gate at 10pm. You can't watch an evening sporting event in Dallas and get back in time. - msmith7113
Oct 2016 - $15.00
This is a beautiful park. We used our Senior Pass for the discount. The road was rough in a couple of places but NOT as bad as other reviews. Bathrooms are cleaned 4 times a week. Everyday in peak season. Very quiet. We loved the park. We would definitely stay here again. If you can pick a site facing the water the view is outstanding. Sites a fairly flat and spacious. The sites have covered picnic area with concrete picnic table. The BBQ's should probably be replaced or removed. Great value for the price. - AZtravler

Sep 2018 - $15.00
My wife and I needed an RV site near Allen, TX for a few days. I found this COE park and decided to give it a try. The arrival process was easy and went as hoped. The park appears to be an older one, but with charm. The interior roads are in need of repair as are at least some of the restroom/bath facilities. The grass needed mowing, although some of it was mowed during our stay. To the park's defense, the DFW area has received a great deal of rain over the last month or so, so that probably explains the tall grass. All the utilities functioned perfectly and were easy to access and hook up to. - jnmking
Jul 2018 - $21.00
A very good shady park and right on the lake. Closes during winter months which I did not like. The only negative is there are two or three sites people can reserve spaces through and the communication seems to be a little outdated. I had to move every 4-5 days and they have a 14 day max to stay. - Packerwood
Jul 2017 - $30.00
Nice quiet "off the beaten path" park. Sites are spaced nicely, and there are some nice views of the lake. Picked up a dozen of so television stations with antenna, and cellular coverage (AT&T) was sufficient to use my iPad as a hotspot. There is a boat ramp available as well as places to fish from shore. Flies were a nuisance, and the roads are in need of some repair. However, we'll be back. This is our second stay at this park in the last three months, and third stay overall. - GoHorns!

Though this park doesn't have laundry or restrooms available, it has been a wonderful place to stay! The staff are very friendly and more than willing to help you out if you need it. There are over 100 sites here, and it seems to be about 50/50 RVs to Manufactured Homes. There is a laundromat less than a mile away, and several grocery stores to choose from. This is located right in the middle of town, but the road noise is not bad at all. There are mostly families living here and everyone has been very friendly and welcoming. There is weekly trash & recycling pickup provided by the city. A pretty quiet place overall. Monthly rent is $375 and electric is metered. There is on-site propane refill available. - TxDorsey1975

This is a terrible RV park. Do not stay here unless absolutely necessary. The park is very small and the RV's are crammed in and very close to one another. The park is located directly adjacent to a very busy highway so traffic noise is constant. The park manager onsite is very nice and helpful however he has no control over the park itself. We were visiting family in the area on a holiday weekend so we were stuck. Monthly fees are about $500 a month and we were charged $50 a night!!! Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. - Bakersfish

Do not arrive after the office closes. Fortunately we didn't as the site we had been assigned in advance was worse than bad. No electricity on a full hook-up site. The water hookup was flooded. Many long-term stays in park. Probably the noisiest park we have ever been in. Pass this park by unless you need to stay close to north Dallas. - gene a
Oct 2013 - $40.00
The only good thing about this park was a place to stay while visiting my daughter and grandchildren. Take your own toilet paper as none is ever in the restrooms and do not know if or when they are cleaned, the showers are just big enough to turn around in barely. People take their dogs into the bathrooms and some are not on leash . This is the only park close to where I needed to be that had any sites or I would not have stayed here. - possumtrotky
May 2013 - $20.00
Rate reflected two-week stay. This is the ONLY RV park in Plano, or we probably would have gone somewhere else. We were here to visit our son, so not much choice (other campers said the same thing). It is a pretty run-down camper / mobilehome park right along a frontage road next to the very busy freeway. People around you are nice and pretty much keep to themselves, but the place gives you second thoughts about staying there. We did stay the two weeks, and had no problems at all, so it wasn't as bad as it "looked". - MarieB

This park is clean, quite and a nice place to stay. The owners do a back ground check so you know the people next door to you are okay. There is a small lake on the property to fish in. Pet Friendly. Lake Lavon is also about a mile down the road for those who are into boating and fishing. It is also a hop, skip and a jump to Dallas. I have been here twice now and will come back if husband is working in the area again. - hopie

The park is in a great setting on the lake. The grass was cut when I was there. The rest rooms needed structural maintenance. Shower water pressure was great, water nice and hot. For the nightly rate considering water, electricity, and on site sewer connection you can't beat it. There can't be a lot funds to rebuild roads and structures at that price. - Freedom Express
Sep 2018 - $15.00
The overall impression of this campground is old. The sites are big enough but the pads are cracked concrete and often not very level. The roads inside the grounds are old and needs repairs. The grass is overgrown and needs cutting in many areas. Admittedly there has been lots of rain and there were several sites that were flooded. The bathroom was old with no door or shower curtain in the dressing area so anyone coming in would be able to see you. The shower itself has lots of hot water and the pressure was so strong it stung! It is a very quiet and peaceful place with not much to do. - Sewwhatsports
May 2018 - $15.00
This was our first experience in a COE park and we will certainly use others. This is a well kept beautiful park. Each site has a picnic table and barbeque both covered by a shelter. I do wish that it had 50 amp connections, however. That is the only drawback. The temperatures approached 100° during our stay and we could only use one air conditioner at a time. Water pressure was 84 psi, so be sure to bring your pressure regulator. The RV sites are widely spaced and all have good views of the lake. Sites are long. We tow out 5th wheel with a Freightliner heavy duty truck and we had no trouble navigating the interior roads or backing into our site. Certainly big rig friendly. It is a very quiet and peaceful park. - KD7UCH
