1 RV Park near Marathon, Texas
Jul 2019 - $45.00
Its the last civilized stop before entering the North Entrance of Big Bend Natl Park. The park is gravel, dusty but power was great as well as water pressure. When the wind blows there is a lot of dust kicked up. At night, it is dark dark. Will be back. - Gearitis

This park is has a retro feel. There are several cabins associated with the motel and two areas for RVs. Our site was great, long enough for the RV and multiple vehicles. Utilities were spread out but workable with 25 foot hoses. The first evening, two local astronomers set up telescopes. This was interesting and informative. Great for kids too. The park has a ban on fires at the sites. They had a nightly fire in a cozy sitting area by the office. The park was easy to maneuver in and around. On site Laundry was reasonable $1.50 wash /$1.50 dry. (Pay at the office first) The "town" is within walking distance but there is not much there. The local grocery store has a few items more than a convenience store. Gas was less expensive in the NP. - DJR CMR

While the park was nice at first glance, we had a weird experience. First, the owner was trying to wedge-in extra campers, so we were sharing our hook-up. This took quite awhile to sort out, and we felt rather hemmed-in. We don't have a tow-behind, so we had to take our RV with us every day on our excursions. We told the manager what we were doing - first day, worked out fine. Second day, they gave our site to someone else. They eventually found a spot for us, but again, it was a hassle. We won't stay there again. - Rver at heart
