We are here for the winter. Gravel roads and sites, but not too muddy, even in rain. Picnic tables could use upgrades. Nice staff who help in any way they can. Nice shade trees. Many of the sites have a good amount of space between, but others are tight. Also, the road is a bit tight since many folks park their vehicles a little on the road making maneuvering a little hard. Hook ups are convenient. Internet seems to work well most of the time, although sometimes slow. Campground is on lake and there are ducks, tons of deer wandering through the campground....people feed them corn (watch for the deer manure), and some turkey wondering around. We like this campground...very quiet. Lots of folks are transient workers, so during the day, no one is around. Not a good place if you want to meet new people and have fun activities going on, but a nice park with a pretty setting. I promise, it is the only one in San Angelo that has lots of trees and is more than a gravel parking lot....we have searched. - Garebones
Sep 2016 - $50.00
Daily rates have jumped from $38.00 to $50.00 per day! Pricey? Compare the area's other RV Parks.... not a RESORT!
Has a very good store of RV goods and Ice, some food and cold beverages.
Many shade trees.
A little out of town, but right on a lake for fishing, swimming, water sports. - Blackie13
Aug 2016 - $55.00
We loved the new site renovations. They are large and spacious with fire pits and picnic tables. Quiet and peaceful on the lake. Lake front views, great walking/running paths. Bath facilities left a little to be desired. An upgrade to those facilities would be super. We have an RV so we were fine, but would have benefited from nicer facilities for restroom and bathing with having larger families. Love this park, great distance from our home in Midland. Can't wait to come back. - thecollinsclan

We never made it to this campground. Issues with our truck forced us to cancel. When I called (4 days before our arrival date), I was told they could not give me a refund - (my wallet was stolen and I no longer had the same cc number as I had when I made the reservation) so I am out the whole cost. Their policy says refunded if given 48 hours notice. So, we are out $30 and are canceling our KOA membership. Lesson learned. - OBZRV2
Jun 2019 - $37.00
Very soft gravel site. Site was not level and leaned to the passenger side. Kids playing until long past quiet times outside. Truck with tools was attempted to be broken into. Will not return to this campground. - Robert Dunaway
Mar 2019 - $35.00
We were scheduled for a 2 night stay, high winds left us here for a 3rd day. Checked with the office on the morning of our 2nd day and the spot was open for one extra night, for same nightly rate. Office staff was helpful and friendly. Laundry well priced 1.25 wash 1.00 for large capacity dryers. Sites are pea stone, level, a lot of rain our 2nd night but not mud or puddles the next morning. Would stay here again, easy to find and fairly close to shopping, stores and town. We had a pull thru regular site with opposing side by sides. Wifi was excellent one day, a little slow the second, but better then most places. - davidpas548
Jun 2018 - $15.00
Park for active and retired military only. Two areas.. trees for long term, parking lot for others. Easy access, pull thru though we don't unhook and was out over travel lane and nobody had a problem. Stayed 1 night and didn't unhook due to early departure next morning. Check in was easy, very nice and professional. Would not recommend extended stay due to lack of shade trees and sparten parking lot conditions. We will stay again because of cost and convenience. Great park for passing through. - Semper Paratus
May 2018 - $20.00
We arrived at Goodfellow Rec Camp on a Wednesday afternoon for a two-night stay. We had made telephonic reservations 45 days out. However, the Office is closed on Wednesday, so when we arrived the Camp Host directed us to a couple 50A FHU back-in sites from which we could select. We parked and connected. Sites were concrete, however they had not been swept or edged in some time. Trees had not been trimmed, grass mowing, weed-eating, edging and cleanliness through-out the park was not a priority. An oddity was the enormous cast steel ground box with lid that covered the water hook-up. It had to be manipulated to access the water hydrant. No idea why that was there, it was so hot from the sun, when we arrived that you couldn't lift it without gloves. Trash cans had overflown near the restrooms. Camp host was very friendly and offered his assistance several times. I visited the Office the next morning to pay, they were not welcoming nor informative. Just took my payment. No welcome, do you have any questions, here is what we offer, etc. This park is in an excellent location, and with some work could be an outstanding park, however, currently it is not. - T_E_B
Nov 2015 - $15.00
The older area of the park is ok, with some shade, but the new area is just a parking lot. Not a very interesting or pretty park, but it is near a lake. It looks like a nice place for a big picnic, but not really great for a destination stay. The host was super friendly and helpful. The park is a few miles from the base, so no base services, but there is a gas/convenience store within walking distance. There was some traffic noise during the day, but it was very quiet at night. The wifi was inoperative and apparently, no one knows how to fix it. The cell service was good. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this park, but it was a handy enough place to stay for a night. - KAP99
May 2019 - $25.00
Large, open site. Level, goods roads in and out of the campground. Careful using your GPS, the address takes you to the park headquarters. Call the park for directions. - Class A Traveller
Mar 2019 - $22.00
Rate reflects the weekly charge of $100 plus the $56 day use fee. Nightly rate is $18 plus the day use fee. Large pull through site easily accessed from paved road. Covered picnic table provided shade. Sign posted all week that there was no hot water in the ladies shower. This is a former COE managed by the state so sites are large. OTA reception was good. - Betsy_02
Feb 2019 - $20.00
This review is for Red Arroyo Campground, at the Park's South entrance, overlooking O.C. Fisher Lake. There are good hard-surface entrance roads and sites. Many sites are pull-throughs, some long back-ins; sites are spacious and mostly level. Each site has a concrete patio with a covered picnic table, which provides the only shade. There are trails for hiking and biking, nearby lake access, and several OTA-TV channels. Only one dump station (1 RV at a time). HEB and Walmart are about 10-minutes away. Park staff is friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. - FranM
