18 RV Parks near Moffat, Texas
Jul 2019 - $12.00
Nice park, large spots. Good coverage from Verizon. No RV sites by the water - on the water side are small cabins. Each campsite has extra parking for your vehicle. - Red Wolf
May 2019 - $12.00
Spacious sites with water and electric. Dump site available. Close to lake and plenty of birds to observe. A very good value. - azflycaster
Jul 2013 - $10.00
We stayed here for 14 days. The park staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful. Park was very well maintained, all facilities were clean, and bathrooms somewhat hot, but it's July in Texas. Very nice view of the Lake. Park host was out and about day and night. He kept the park in good order, quiet. Wildlife, deer, birds, armadillo, one fox, feral cats were in the park on quiet days. Lots of tents and boats on weekends, but for the most part, were well mannered! Will be back for sure. - CitizensReflect
May 2017 - $25.00
RV park is for patients and patient's family. All sites are back in. Have a few for big rigs but most are for 30' or shorter. Next to the hospital with easy access to entrances in walking distance or can take shuttle Monday through Friday. Able to park on vehicle per site, but other parking is located nearby. Extremely close to shopping and restaurants. Pet friendly, nice laundry, and full service restrooms. The number is for security which you call after you arrive. Park is first come first serve with no reservations. Concrete pads are just wide enough for RV with no patio or picnic tables. Some site connections are at the very front requiring extension of power cords, water hoses, and sewer hoses. Other site connections are located in the middle or rear. Good place to stay when your loved one is in the hospital for an extended period of time. - Msubulldawgnwaco
Dec 2011 - $13.00
We wanted a quick on and off I-35 going north. While the lady at the desk was very nice, it was clear the owner couldn't care less about the park. Keys were not available for showers, mostly permanent residents, apparently I-35 will be widened at some point taking over the camp, so there is no effort to improve. Next time we will keep driving. - balfre1946

We actually thought we were staying in a different COE park on Belton Lake but it turned out nicely. I had stayed in the area before and misremembered the name of the park where we stayed previously. Our site was spacious with no shade. It was good we had 50A service so we could run both A/Cs. It was 107 one afternoon. If you get away from the waters edge, there is more shading. Our lakeside site was a waste anyway because the foliage is so tall that you can't see the lake. Many people are there for the lake so there were boats on trailers parked everywhere, making navigation to our site a little nerve racking, but doable. There was a truck and boat on trailer across from our site partially in the road but we were able to get into our site with no major issues. The rules for no parking on the grass and number of vehicles per site and animals on leashes are soundly ignored. The good news is that we didn't have any problems with dogs on our bike rides. One dog jumped up and started running and barking but the owner called it back. The park is fairly convenient to Temple and surrounding areas. We would stay again. - Motorcyclekelly
Jul 2019 - $14.00
This park is well maintained. The Park hosts were ready and willing to take care of things such as small low hanging branches and such. The Restrooms were very clean and on a 95 degree day, they were rather cool. It was quiet, some sites with trees, some sites not. But if you like water, then down by the lake is it. This is now our local "go to park" and will be back soon than later. BTW the gate attendants were hospitable. There is a wash and 2 dryers at the activities center. - Gearitis
May 2019 - $12.00
Beautiful park. Quiet and spacious. Our site was long and level. Only problem was a low hanging branch on the tree that interfered with my TV antenna. I was also concerned that forecasted severe weather could allow the tree to damage my roof. I requested they trim the branches prior to the arrival of the storms the next evening. While I was told that they would, no one did. Fortunately the worst of the weather went just north of us. - Bar None
Mar 2019 - $25.00
Great State Park with fabulous water views from most sites. - Kiwijo
Oct 2018 - $10.00
Nicely maintained park. This campground is on a finger of the lake which is very quiet. No access to the lake from the campground and the swimming beach was closed. Plenty of deer roaming the campground. Very secure place with each loop having its own gate. Level sites with nice spacing. Will definitely return when in the area. - Budmobile
Apr 2018 - $12.00
We stay in COE parks whenever we can. This one was immaculate, with the landscape well-tended. My site was perfectly lrvel, as was the site of the folks who camped with us. Personnel were professional and courteous, and got us checked in in short order. Restrooms and showers were clean and fairly modern. The only negative is that some of the signs are faded and difficult to read, and it would be food to have more of them. - K Graham
Jul 2014 - $15.00
Okay place, but we do not plan to stay here again. The park didn't seem very clean or nice. Not very classy and pretty sure some of the campers were druggies. We are retired and not young any more and we just felt very unsafe. - TexasRVing
Mar 2008 - $15.00
This park is a quiet place to long-term camp. Owners are very nice and helpful. Most everyone in the campground is long term. Cheap rates, close to recreational lakes and parks. Big Rig capable, but all sites are back in. Sites are gravel, and mostly level some adjustment is needed. Shower and bathhouse on site as well as laundry. Park is not clearly marked, but is near highway 190 and loop 121 interchange. - Travel_RNs
Apr 2019 - $45.00
The strangest RV park ever! 7 page application to get in. Asking for all personal data like your social security number. Required a background check for a 4 day stay. Sites are small and mine was unlevel. No toilet paper in the restroom. Expect a constant noise from the 35 freeway. - Happy camper 007
Mar 2018 - $40.00
It's very difficult to make reservations when they won't answer phones and expect you to make them on-line - and then they want to respond on-line and when you are travelling, this can be difficult/impossible!! Just pick up the dang phone!! Also - no one tells you that they (the office) are closed from 12:30 to 2 pm every day and close up at 5 pm - makes it a little difficult to plan to arrive at a specific time. Pretty good wifi - lots of full-time residents - there is a pool but no doggy park - sites are close - manageable - but barely - no shade - just a big parking lot behind the RV sales center. Might be good if you need to stop overnight - would not want to stay more than that. - EllieMae Erskine
Aug 2015 - $36.00
Sites, fairly level, right on top of each other. A few with shade from trees. Pedestals were dated and very low to the ground. Pool was good and kept clean daily. Staff was friendly and helpful. Access a little difficult with current construction on I-35. Highway noise was a little evident, but not overwhelming. Many long-term in the park...probably working construction on the highway. RV dealer/mechanic/store in front of park was great for parts and work needed. - ArmyColonel
Apr 2019 - $40.00
Updating my 4 year old review. Safety is the owner's/management's #1 priority. The park still has asphalt roads and 32 asphalt pads. The asphalt pads aren't level but they will definitely accommodate the largest rigs. All are back in. Two rows of cement pads were recently added but, we are not set up on them so I cannot comment on level, they are nice and management made sure to keep with the spacious area between each site. Now to convince that pull through is a viable option for overnighters. ;) Spacing between sites is the best around, it allows a private and community feel. The park is pet friendly with a $100 non-refundable pet deposit. It is also kid friendly with a small play area. The recent addition of a covered pavillion with burn pit is nice. Sites have grass which is green during rains. Due to water costs (management pays for all water) there are restrictions at times for lawn watering. Lawns are regularly maintained as well as the small bath and laundry facility. 1 women's, 1 men's, 1 washer and 1 dryer. The park is best for long term stays and as an alternative when the lakeside parks are full. This is still my second long term stay and management has been working hard to improve it bit by bit which we definitely appreciate. - KYoung
Jun 2017 - $40.00
We are full timers and finally found a place to call home. Sites are spacious, park is very clean and the people are super friendly. Have a toddler and the park is extremely kid friendly. The park owner is very keen on safety. No speeders in this park! Play area for kids and by 8:30 pm everything is super quiet. Will be here for a very long time not to mention only a few minutes from the fishing hole. - Lloyd1276
Sep 2015 - $35.00
The park has asphalt roads and pads. None of the 32 pads are level but they do accommodate the largest rigs, if you don't mind having to back in.
Spacing between sites is nice, it allows a private and community feel.
The park is pet friendly with a $100 non-refundable pet deposit. It is also kid friendly.
Some sites have a picnic table and some have a tree that is still living. Sites have grass which is green during rains. No watering of yards is allowed per management. Lawns are regularly maintained as well as the small bath and laundry facility. 1 women's, 1 men's, and 1 washer dryer.
The park is best for long term stays and as an alternative when the lakeside parks are full.
This is my second long term stay and the park was better when it first opened. Overall the park isn't bad just some interesting management practices. But managing such a large RV park means growing pains for the person in charge. - KYoung
Apr 2018 - $24.00
Small, quiet park on Lake Belton. Not a lot to do outside of lake usage, and limited shade at the campsites. The sites are mostly pull thrus, with covered picnic tables at most of them. Very clean sites and restrooms. - Red Wolf
Jul 2017 - $24.00
Great access to lake and all easy swimming entry. Can pull your boat right up to sites. - SDSaylor
Apr 2012 - $10.00
This was a good find for our needs as we were in the area to visit relatives getting medical care. We were right on the lake in a pull through. They do let you drain your gray water on the ground which is nice. The rate reflects the America the Beautiful Senior Pass. Water pressure and 50 amp voltage was very good. We would stay here again. It is a Corps of Engineers Park. You are close to Belton, Temple and not that far from Killeen and the Fort Hood Army Base so there are plenty of shopping opportunities. - zrxh14
Jul 2014 - $25.00
Wouldn't recommend. We stayed here very briefly as we were passing through and wanted to visit with some friends and relatives, and we didn't have a pleasant stay. There was no manager on hand and the camp did not have Wi-Fi as advertised. Overall it was a huge hassle, and not worth the price. Plenty of other much nicer parks in the area. - TexasRVing
