The noise between the bridges made no difference as it sounded just like the river, so it all blended in nicely. The park is small and intimate. The people who live and work here are friendly and will help with anything they can. I felt extremely safe camping here as a woman alone. I was here before the big "tubing summer visitors" so it was extremely quiet. The entry is sharp so be careful. It will sneak up on you before you know it. Put in those Google Map directions and don't try to find this place without them. Drive SLOWLY inside, as the speed bumps are high and you might hit a duck/goose as they are all over (I had 12 baby ducklings at my place daily; the office sells corn to feed the ducks, please do not feed them bread as this is bad for their health). The sites are spacious enough for picnic tables and not in your neighbor's face. The cheaper sites are under the bridge and most are steep with creative need for stacking blocks, the pull throughs are in the middle, the greenbelt is nice but seems to be facing a fence, except site 12, which I think is the prettiest in the whole park. The big premiums face the river, but I think they are not as pretty as site 12 since it's on a corner staring at the curve in the river. The laundry is very clean. There are 3 washers and 3 dryers, so time your work according to "busy" hours. Since it's a small and intimate park, there should not be a problem with that. There are code locks on the restrooms and laundry. The water pressure was great. This is not a "resort" per se, but a campground that is very nice. I highly recommend it. I would stay again in a heartbeat. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Drive up to Wimberley for the day, as they have shops and several wineries. The historic downtown here is nice, with shops as well and good restaurants. There is a good H.E.B. nearby. Austin and San Antonio are easily accessible. If you geocache, take note that many are only reachable by kayak or tubing! How cool is that? "Water Dogs." The New Braunfels Visitor Center ladies are wonderful and will give you all the information you need and fun chatter, so stop by that little building.

This place is called a resort, but that's a bit optimistic. The park is on the Guadalupe River, but beneath the I-35 and I-35 Business roads, so is very noisy. There is a kayak launch and rental kayaks on the property. There is a boat launch next door. The park is one loop with back-ins on the outside and pull-throughs in the center. Some of the back-ins have steep slopes that appeared to required lots of blocks. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are plenty of stores nearby; recommend H-E-B for groceries; especially for wine and liquor. Kayaking on the river was fun (we have our own inflatable kayak). Go to Gruene, a historic area in the northeast part of the city. There is live music and a number of shops there. The railroad museum downtown is free and fun. They have a model layout and some real rolling stock, including a dining car, caboose, and steam engine.

Overall Rating:

We have thoroughly enjoying our stay at River Ranch. The staff are amazingly friendly and extremely helpful with new RVers like ourselves. We've been here for a month and a half now and would stay longer if not for the constant humming of I-35 road noise and the very weak T-Mobile cellular coverage. You're literally right along the banks of the Guadalupe river and have a host of ducks and geese to keep you company during the day. The fishing is great and the scenery is peaceful. We're going to miss this lil spot. Get to know the camp hosts, they're good people. They do offer several discounts, which is not reflected above. Good Sam, Passport America, TACO, Military, Police, and Firefighters. To utilize the PA discount you must call at least 3 days prior to arrival. When hooking up to sewer you are required to use a clear 90. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Full hookups with a pull thru. If I had to pay full price I would have considered it quite pricey. Run of the mill decent park, but not a 65 dollar park. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

It is not the most spacious but it is easy for a 45 footer to move around in. We usually get the pull throughs. It is between the bridges but for us we just sleep through it with windows open, but if you need it really quiet it will be a problem. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is very convenient, being right off the highway. Unfortunately, it is so close to the highway, actually between two bridges over the river, that there is a lot of road noise. Even with the fan on in the camper, we could hear it through the night. Our site backed up to the river, and there was a lot of green space and a dog park for our dogs. The spaces are pretty close together, but we had no trouble backing into our site since one of the camp hosts guided us. Other reviews mentioned there are lots of birds, and the camp host suggested we position our trailer toward the front of the pad away from the overhead lines where they sit. We did and had no problems. The park is expensive because it is on the river with its own access. If that is important to you, it is probably worth the price. It is not to us, and with the road noise, we would probably look for some other place to stay if we are back in the area. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Convenient location. Utilities well placed and work well. Our site was the bird doo capital of Texas. By the time we left the birds had found everything, even wires and hoses; had to be sprayed off before putting away on departure. We were directly under a tree; live and learn. This would be an ideal park for a long stay, clean, concrete pads and ample room for a towed vehicle, right on the gorgeous Guadeloupe river, EXCEPT for the freeway noise which is really bad. We stayed here 2 days and fished right along side our motorhome, big catfish and bass are plentiful. Really loved the surroundings and wanted to stay longer but the highway noise was just too much for us. RV space prices vary greatly depending on size, but they do take PA. The park was full so reserve in advance, just expect the traffic noise. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great fishing on the beautiful and pristine Guadeloupe river. One day TX fishing license available on line for $21, for me it was well worth it! San Antonio, the Alamo and River walk are a 35 mile drive on the busy Freeway, using the tow vehicle of course, and plenty of Advil.

Access to this park isn't easy, and caution is advised. One set up, access is good in a car/suv. Price is high, but location and convenience are the thing. Wifi not good, and staff didn't know how to fix it and had slight interest. Fortunately, was able to use that of family while visiting. Price is wildly variable depending on hard to define criteria. Availability has been limited, making it necessary to go elsewhere, even with long notice. Love/hate relationship with this place, but will likely stay here again. The park is under the Interstate, so although there is highway noise, it was white noise for us and didn't affect our stay here. The park is clean and staff were friendly and helpful. You are about 10 minutes away from historic Greune. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This really is an excellent campground, small, & slightly tight, but not bad. Sites are concrete pads & level. Nice river view. The only reason I gave it 5 stars, is that it's right under I-35 and VERY noisy with the traffic. I had to sleep with ear plugs in. Might stay here again, but will look for something quieter. Park is changing owners, so it was difficult to reach anyone. We arrived on the day of a bad storm and some people had been told earlier to leave due to flooding. When we arrived, the storm was downgraded so we stayed and had no flooding. The river is right there and has a small boat ramp. Also the FWY is right above you. Nice dog park with bags. Ducks and squirrels to keep you entertained. No pool. Seemed really pricey considering the FWY noise and no pool. But close to relatives, so good for a few days. Level, cement pads with a table at each and a little grass. Very clean grounds. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Motorhome.
