We camp here for 2 weeks with 12 other couples. The park is among the best we have stayed in. The staff was outstanding in supporting our needs. The pool is pristine. There is a fully equipped rec hall with a full kitchen. The huge pavilion on the large 60 acre lake provided us the opportunity to have server cookouts and sit around the fire pit. They even have a on premise RV repair shop. We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed during Moto GP week no discounts available rate is a little higher. Park was well looked after, garbage pick up every day. Park is relatively new and as it matures the grass and trees will fill-in nicely. We enjoyed our stay. Swimming pool and hot tub or well looked after. About a 20-25 minute drive to the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Hats off to the office staff! They are excellent. They go out of their way to be helpful. They're always friendly and cheerful! Access to this place is dangerous! It's a very sharp turn off a busy highway. Signage is quite low and difficult to see unless you know what you're looking for. This is an 'all in one' price which means you don't need to pay power separately. We'd love to see some patio spaces and picnic tables here. That would encourage mingling among campers and provide a space to put down a barbecue. This campground is new and is still a work in progress. Roads are poor and quite broken up. If you don't mind being out in the country and away from shopping etc this is a very pretty place with beautiful sunsets. We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a family reunion. The campground was clean. The roads could use some repairs. They are a little bumpy. The folks working in the office were very friendly. The kids loved the pool. We used their meeting room for the reunion and it was great. Full kitchen and nice size. It opened up to the pool so we could keep an eye on the kids. There were some full times people there. We normally go the state parks and such. They have a wonderful stocked fishing lake. Overall great experience we are already planning next years event We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed with a rally group. The staff were extremely helpful with building our fire in the pit - even provided the first load of wood without cost! Beautiful lake with catch and release fishing (no license required). Level concrete sites with full hookups. Some have picnic tables. Cozy meeting area with knotty pine and comfy seats. Fully equipped kitchen. As nice as the facilities were, the staff helpfulness was the most outstanding plus. We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We have camped all over the US and this has been of the top 3 places we've stayed at. The sites are level and paved with plenty of room on either side. The pavilion is spacious and super clean, with fire pits and a huge smoker/grill. When the staff learned we wanted a fire, they set it up, provided extra wood and started it at the time we requested. The staff stopped whenever they saw us outside and asked if there was anything they could do for us. The office/store staff were so nice and fun. Unfortunately the trees are small since its a new campground, but it was still one of the best places we've ever stayed at. Give it a try! We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is nice and well kept. Mostly long term residents with spotty overnight spots. The streets could use some repair. The pavilion on the lake is nice with fishing areas. There are a lot of cars and trucks parked in the street making it difficult to navigate with a large RV. Pool and groups recreation area is nice. Our site would have been better if we would have had a patio and picnic table. We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Park is very new, which is good and bad. No trees high enough to provide shade. Sites are concrete, mostly level and not closely spaced. Pool and hot tub were open. Grass is not well-established, so lots of weeds, sticker burrs. RV service is on site, did not use. We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We love this park. Long, level concrete sites with grass between. The park is new so trees are small but will be providing shade in a couple of years. There have definitely been improvements even since we stayed here last fall. The lake is beautiful and there are walking paths around it along with a very nice pavilion. The dog park is large although there are no separate areas for large and small dogs. Laundry is small with only 4 each washers and dryers but clean and everything was in working order. It is rather expensive at $2.25 per load. All utilities are conveniently located and worked well. Cable TV is available with 54 channels but we pulled in over 40 by our antenna so didn't even bother hooking the cable up. Wi-Fi is excellent. The hot tub is awesome!! The rate was higher than usual due to some activities going on in the area (don't know what). We have concluded our business in the area so don't know if we'll be back but, if we ever get into the area again, we absolutely will stay here. We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

As others have noted, this campground is new and well built. The roads are nicely paved and the campsites are concrete. There is a nice sized lake on one side that has a nice pavilion on the side. The sites along the lake are the most scenic. The internal campsites were just as nice but a bit more cramped. The campground store was well stocked and even had fresh pizza for sale (we didn't eat any but it smelled good). For us this campground was convenient as we were traveling up 130. We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Park is very new and had long paved wide sites, the people are very nice and helpful - cable and all utilities worked fine. The location was a bit remote but this was over shadowed by the quality of all the facilities. Mostly permanent residents - we stayed a week. We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great stay for a new park where they have done things right. Owners and staff very friendly. Small lake and park seems to have quite a few full time 5ers and children. Good pizzas for a change of diet. Pad could have been a tad longer and level to get both RV and toad on the pad. We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful new park, fairly level concrete sites with plenty of space between. Sites could be a bit longer but we had room to park our truck after unhitching. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were not escorted to our site but it was in the first row, within sight of the office. There is no shade at this time but they are planting trees so this will be remedied in the future. The pool and hot tub were very nice and the rec room and laundry room were large and clean. We tried one of the pizzas made on-site and it was excellent. If we were ever to decide to spend a winter in the area, this would definitely be our top pick. We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

First the positive experience at this park. We were here for a month. It is in a great location to Austin close enough to the shopping outlet at San Marcos. The customer service surpasses any we have experienced. It has a great country feel and a nice view. The HEB grocery store in Kyle is a wonderful shopping experience. The pool is very pleasant. The WIFI is good if you pay for the upgrade. The disappointments and suggested improvements. This is not a park we would call an RV resort. There is zero shade. There aren't any organized social activities or pickle ball courts. The park is mostly full of people there for work and about 20 sites left for others enjoying RVing. The pads are concrete but not level. There is not a patio at 90 percent of the sites. No place to set a BBQ and chairs for outside entertaining. If you have a large rig with slide outs you step out of your rig into the grass that is ankle high. This was the biggest disappointment, we lost power more than once on the weekends when the park was full, as did our neighbor. He was away all day and had to throw food out because of no refrigerator. Our AMP meter would drop below normal voltage in the afternoons and we would have to shut items off to prevent our air conditioners from shutting down. The fitness center is very tiny and has an odor that smells like adhesive the equipment is not up to date. This park has potential to become a resort and hopefully improvements will make that happen. We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Rob Hoffman, owner at Longhorn RV Resort responded to this review

Thank you for your review. We are constantly making improvements and strive to make everyone's experience a positive one. We have planted hundreds of tree's before and after we opened, but it will take some time for them to grow into nice shade trees. Patio's are high on the list as the next upgrade our budget allows as well as picnic tables and bbq grills. We hope you visit us again in the future as we continue to add more features.

Very nice RV park and even nicer owners and staff. Plenty of space between fairly level concrete pads. Only thing missing is some shade trees. Cable TV is good and Wi-Fi strong, at least up near the office where we were located. Wi-Fi is free for the basic tier of data which was sufficient for what I needed. If you want to stream video or need multiple devices connected simultaneously, then you may need to pay for upgraded service. Nice pool and hot tub area with a very comfortable adjacent rec room. One of the best, cleanest laundry that we have seen. Cost was maybe a bit higher ($2.25 a load) but you will not need to run anything through the dryer a second time as the time was longer and always dried our clothes in one cycle -- well worth a little added cost to not have to add more money. Bathrooms were spotless and incredibly clean. We had a new motor coach that had an issue with filling the LP tank. Multiple people had tried without success to fill the tank. The owner immediately diagnosed the issue and then spent a lengthy amount of time required to get the tank filled. We were very grateful for his expertise, patience, and persistence (hot showers finally!). We highly recommend this RV park! We camped at Longhorn RV Resort in a Motorhome.
