20 RV Parks near Port Lavaca, Texas
Apr 2016 - $29.00
Had to be careful when parking because of Patio Covers. Very narrow and if you have slides on each side of the trailer they will hit the Covers. Therefore you could not get very deep into the space requiring additional Black Water Hose because the dump was at the very end of the site.
No WiFy except in Recreational Room.
Cable reception very poor at time. Lost complete signal for 20-30 minutes multiple times during each of the seven days.
Park was maintained very well but the only restroom I would use outside of my trailer was in the recreational room. Other restrooms were not very clean.
Nice walking path made out of recycled materials for bird watching and nice lighted fishing pier available. - Fulshear Travelers
Feb 2016 - $40.00
We had to change plans and needed to stay somewhere on a Sunday afternoon. The lady at the check in kiosk was delightful, that was the highlight of our stay. Looked like most of the spots were taken by "long term" folks and fairly well kept. Our site was really narrow, we could barely put out one slide, and backed in to the beach, therefore looking at the main highway. The beach and walkway out over the marsh was pretty dirty and littered with trash. Cost of our "waterfront" full hookup site was way overpriced at $40 per night. Maybe the long term rates were more reasonable. Personally we would not stay here again. - housecar
Dec 2014 - $30.00
Stayed overnight at this RV park enroute to the Rio Grande area. Very nice view of the Gulf of Mexico, long walkway and a fishing pier as well as a boat launching area. Sites are quite close together but for one night it was fine. Lots of campers stay here for the winter months and enjoy the convenience of fishing within a couple of minutes walk to the pier. Would stay here again if visiting the area. - Shirley Briand
Mar 2012 - $28.00
We spent one night here. The showers and bathroom were not usable. The location has a wonderful view and a nice walk about over the marsh. The City pool is on the edge of the premises but not open this time of year. The RV park area was clean and well lit. Because it is a public park there is a lot of foot traffic and vehicle traffic coming and going to use the playground and access the beach area. I would not feel comfortable leaving my site and leaving any personal items outside. I will not stay here again. The fee must be paid in cash or check. - glasslipper
Feb 2012 - $25.00
This park is very nice and kept up. It has a beautiful view of the water. It is located in a convenient spot where you have access to everything in town without the noise of city streets. The people who run this park are very friendly and easy to get along with and make every effort to make you feel at home. I would recommend this park to anyone who passes through this area. - littlejohn
Feb 2012 - $20.00
We actually lived here from Sept. 2011 through Feb. 2012, and this management here has an attitude problem. Appears religiously biased. Then the place floods, oh they keep saying they will put some rock down but the sites are close, full of weeds and floods when it rains. The wi-fi is so so. The rest rooms are cleaned when the lady feels like doing them. Most who stay here don't keep their sites cared for also. Not the worst, but not the best. There are better for same price. - normanspaulding
Dec 2016 - $20.00
Rate reflects Passport America which requires one night at full price and two nights at the PA rate. There is an extra charge for using the sewer. This is an older park which is run down but in the process of improvements. In the meantime it is a place to park your rig while you enjoy the beach which is right across the road. I was able to see the gulf from my window. Easy in and out of the park, site was level enough and utilities easy to access. Park wifi was good as was my Verizon. Sites are very close together but the host says the owner will be putting in new sites next to the current park this summer that will be spacious--so should be really nice in a year or two. But worth the visit even now to enjoy the beautiful beach. - nanzhere
Apr 2011 - $12.00
Nice campground, great campground manager. He bends over backwards to accommodate you. Only problem is there are no washrooms or showers available. They're expanding, so maybe in the future. Price shown is the PA price. - michdoc
Oct 2010 - $25.00
The park is just across the street from Magnolia Bay! Beautiful location; lots of fishing areas around the area! Nice place to get away with family and kids or a romantic getaway! The beach is great! The park is quiet, fairly new, like maybe 4-5 years old. Nice park to stay in long or short term, especially if you love the beach life!!! - beachrving
Mar 2019 - $55.00
This is a very pristine park and they work hard to keep it that way. They have a nice pool with hot tub and the center focal point to this park is the catch and release lake. Nice walking path around the lake. The restrooms and showers are very nice and clean. If you were to be looking for a long-term Park in this area this is the place for you. I would say that 2/3+ of this park is long-term so it doesn't have that recreational/vacation feel to it. The park is very quiet as you would expect from a residential park. Lots of vehicle noise early in the mornings with people heading to work. If your looking for an outdoorsy, social recreational spot, this is not going to be what you are looking for. You don't see children out playing, people just sitting outside or smell those cookouts. There is really no socializing going on. They do police their rules which is good since it's a residential resort. Really a pretty place if your looking for a place to stay for a while. - Harold And Debbie
Feb 2019 - $46.00
Very nice high quality park with great facilities and sites, the cable had about 100 channels, the park is about 95% monthly or permanents. Only a handful of transient sites, we did not note a police presence as one reviewer posted or a noise problem Not a heck of a a lot to do in the city but it had all the basic fast food places and grocery stores and Walmart - we did some great birding south of town. Our site did not have a picnic table or patio but some sites had them - rr2254545
Mar 2017 - $21.00
Stayed here one month in a 42 foot 5th wheel on a concrete pull thru site. Site was narrow and had no picnic table. Lots of workers in this park so be prepared for truck sounds at 6:30 am every morning. Cable TV provider is poor, wifi was good, fitness room was nice but small, library was mediocre, interior roads are good. No planned activities in park so you will be on your own. Not much to do in Port LaVaca and the town is sad. Cost included electric ($0.115/kwh) and a $25.00 site cleaning fee after we left. Having been all over the country in 70+ RV Resorts, never have we incurred this type of subjective charge. No reason to recommend Port LaVaca or this park as a result. - DIXIEDUALLY2013

Jul 2007 - $12.00
This is a combination Motel and RV park. There are 13 RV sites all with full hookups. They cater to the hunter and fisherman, which is all there is to do in this area. They even have kennels to keep your hunting dog in. If you are looking for more than that you should probably go somewhere else. The sites are paved and level. Everything is very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. My daughters enjoyed the swimming pool. They serve a continental breakfast each morning starting at 6 a.m.. If you like to start fishing earlier than that (like me!) they leave a side door open so you can get your coffee and bagel before 6 a.m.. We will be coming back here on a yearly basis. - parkhopper
Jan 2014 - $35.00
We were going to stay at this park, but it was raining very hard, and because the park didn't have pull-through sites we went on down the road to Rockport, Texas and found a park that was paved and had pull through sites. Beacon Park is owned by local husband and wife. The park would be good for a weekend to fish, because it is close to the water. The new part of the park has no trees and was cleared out made into a extension of the old park. We would only stay here for a day and only in the fall, winter, and spring. The summer time would be to hot. - Joceil
Jul 2019 - $59.00
This park opened the first of July 2019. Very nice park, well constructed. A little confusion in the office, I attribute to just opening and getting their act together. All the people we dealt with were nice and polite. - DennisD
Feb 2018 - $10.00
This is first time in this park and this area of Texas. We love the area around here. There is sight seeing in the area and shopping is convenient in Port Lavaca and Victoria. There is a little store in town that sells the all the basics as well if you need immediate supplies and are willing to pay a small premium. This park may be the friendliest we have stayed in whether it be tenants or owners. The owners make you feel welcome and in the time we have been here there has been a pot luck, a BBQ and a shrimp boil. There are several different types of sites available, concrete pad, gravel or grass. The newest sites the park is developing do not have cable and the WiFi may be a little weak. We plan on staying longer and hope to stay here again for part of next winter. - Chalkie
Feb 2018 - $10.00
Wow what a great park the owners are great people. It rained a lot here while we was here and water got deep but it wasn't the owners fault so why the person above me was upset surprise me. We arrived Dec 2nd had to leave, but after being gone for 4 days decided we had to come back staying till end of March 2018. It's an eating park since we arrived we had two fish fries before thanks to a resident fisherman then Thanksgiving, Christmas was fried trout, red fish and shrimp, New Years eve just a great gathering and New Years day ham and trimmings, then we've had two fish fries with shrimp and oysters once, two bar bq's with brisket, sausage and chicken and a Italian pot luck. This Tuesday where having another eat out boiled shrimp park owners own a shrimp boat so there really fresh.. What a park great owners. Let me tell you about the fishing, bank fishing, jetty fishing, pier fishing, wading in Boggy Bayou, Broad Bayou. I'm loving it they took me out fishing too the big jetty wow some 40 plus inch red fish, trout and sheep heads. I'll be here next winter at the latest Dec 1st till end of march. This is a great park with great people that own it and there family there motto come as guest, leave as friend. - JustDon
May 2017 - $30.00
Park overbooked so we had to set up in the back of the park, a grass and sand site more like a field. We had NO wifi or Cable TV as stated on the web site. On day three it rained all night and our TT was sitting in about six inches of water and more rain was expected. So we loaded up to leave, when we went to pay out, the owner made the comment "Kind of flooded Didn't it", as if this was a surprise to him. This park is excellent if you are a long term tenant, weekender's and vacationer's will get treated the same as a fast food drive through, pay up, shut up and be gone. - USN Retired 77
