Oct 2016 - $25.00
The park itself has been around a while, but it's fine for me as I usually stay here when I go fishing in Port Mansfield. The site are grass, but they are level, and they have full hookups. The staff at R&R RV Park have always gone out of their way to accommodate me even during last minute requests. They are all very nice people. The park does have WiFi which comes in handy as cell service is hit or miss in Port Mansfield. There are better looking RV parks in the area, but I've heard their service is not the best. I will continue to stay at R&R RV Park because of their wonderful service. - Charlie Lopez
Nov 2014 - $11.00
This is a very basic, older campground. There are some single wide mobile homes and park models, and it looks like many rigs are left here long term. Owners/managers are very friendly and helpful. Sites are on grass with concrete pads just for the wheels to park on. The Wi-Fi is usable but not real great. Verizon phone service in the area is sad! Have problems making and receiving calls and using the hot spot doesn't work well at all. However, if you come here you are here to fish and the rest does not matter! Or if you like herds of deer and flocks of turkeys to watch walking by your RV this is also the place! - joans8849

Jan 2019 - $30.00
Camped in 21 ft TT. All RV sites are the same size and setup. Paved road, gravel site pads. Used site 1, 2, 33. (Reserved two nights at a time.) We stayed 16 - 21 Jan 2019. It was crowded on the weekend, but some sites still available. Other info in other reviews is still accurate, except security seemed tight. Gate is automated with pass key required. Personnel patrol frequently during the day. I recommend on-line reservation. All sites are reserveable. - Kodiak Puller
Apr 2018 - $30.00
We stayed one night on the waterfront at the end of April. We have a tall fifth wheel with slides and had to pay attention to the shade trees. We barely squeaked into our site but the careful maneuvering was worth it. Be prepared for partying families playing sweet but almost too loud music. This is clearly a favorite local fishing spot. Verizon 1-2 bars. - Diana808

This is a small county park right on the Arroyo Colorado. It is very popular with fishers and very busy on the weekend. We had the place pretty much to ourselves on Sunday night though. Most of the RV sites are right along the water but there are several that are on a short loop on the other side of the road that are in a treed area bordering a wetland. If you are a birder, these sites are the best. While walking the dog one morning I saw several green jays, five kiskadees, a black crested titmouse, an oriole, and several other birds I wasn't able to identify. Lots of pelicans and herons and egrets on the channel side of the park too. The site was level and E & W were fine, but the sewer connection was too far away and had no cap. Not good. We were only there three nights so didn't bother with the sewer and waited to dump at the next stop. The restrooms were utilitarian but clean enough. Didn't use the shower room so can't comment. No internet available. Verizon signal was enough to maybe make phone calls but not to use data. The park was pretty clean and the staff were friendly. As noted, not a quiet place at all during the day on weekends but otherwise ok. I would go back and especially stay in the wooded sites for bird watching purposes. - Pdxjoanne

Dec 2015 - $11.00
This is the best kept secret in Texas. Very small and basic park on the Arroyo Colorado. If you want rest and relaxation this is the place. Very quiet, almost boring. The only excitement is watching Ruth Ann running around taking care of the place. And what a nice place it is. Beautiful Rec room, private dock, and lots of birds. - Deck & Margot
Mar 2015 - $28.00
Nice staff, good fishing on the Aroyo Colorado river. Quiet. Great campers to have interaction with. - jack andeer
Dec 2010 - $20.00
We enjoyed this campground and the people so much we paid for this coming fall (yearly rates are great + electric). We will return. I think this is going to be our second home every winter. Our stay was December 2010 until March 2011. - mikebocko

Feb 2018 - $10.00
The $10.00 reflects monthly rate. The sites are close and this is no longer a 55+ park, with lots of workers. Also loose dogs running around. It's a good place if you want fishing. Will not return. - Home is where we park it
Mar 2015 - $11.00
Sites were extremely close! Neighbors do not except newcomers. Staff Ok.Prices good. Not a friendly place to winter. - 1bill
Jan 2012 - $11.00
Unless you are a single hardcore fisherperson, this is not your park. Interior roads are deteriorating. Sites are grass and gravel and not level. 20 miles to most shopping. Management is either inept or incompetent. The manager modifies the rules for her favorites and holds everyone else to them. Lots of gossip and cliques. The owners don't seem to care about more than superficial improvements to the campground - RedSoloCup

Aug 2017 - $25.00
We have been FT RVers for 17 yrs, in over 34 states, and hundreds of RV parks and campgrounds we have stayed at, we have had many impressions, but the shower houses were beyond filthy, too gross to describe. The toilets were nasty, and I took care when sitting down. The shower walls had mold growing on them, and I am glad that I developed the habit of carrying a pair of flip flops to wear for such circumstances as well as carrying sanitizer spray. While the managers were friendly, I was told that since they took over the conditions have gone downhill in regards to cleanliness. - Roobugg
Jan 2012 - $20.00
Well kept park with lots of activities. Only five pull-throughs I could see for short term stay. Although there were some narrower sites than others, I didn't see any that I wouldn't want to stay long term. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Could be alternative stop for access to South Texas amenities without the population congestion further south. - Grandpa Bobby

Stayed here before and came and spent 3 weeks again while visiting friends. The park has all drive thru gravel spots. We stayed in a 42' 5th wheel and you can stay connected if you wish. Bathroom & Laundry are clean and up to date. WI-fi is not bad, at least it works. The park is right in town, so there is a grocery store, two restaurants and a great bakery in walking distance. Always a nice breeze there. Only 45 min from the beach and Mexico. Will stay here when ever in Rio Hondo. - Piperflyer 235
