40 RV Parks near Pottsboro, Texas
Aug 2018 - $3.00
The site we were on was great, pretty level overall. There was ample shade on our site. The roads could use some work, but in general they weren't bad. The lake was accessible by vehicle and there was a nice area to get in and swim or fish. The activity centers were clean and great places to hang out. We were greeted by the sales specialist before we even got the car unhooked. He was VERY helpful and guided us to the best site for shade and cell coverage of those available. We enjoyed the use of the pools and activity centers during our 2 week stay. They had some power issues arise in the midst of our time there, but all was handled wonderfully by the staff on hand. We would come back again if staying in the area. About 15 miles~20 minutes to get to the grocery store, but not too bad. - TxDorsey1975
May 2018 - $1.00
Rate represents a Thousand Trails membership. First visit here as a TT member. Very disappointing. The staff was not very helpful for a "closing time" arrival. The bathrooms near site B7 was NOT what we expect of TT. Photos below show broken tiles and deteriorated toilet stalls. Not a reflection on the park or TT, we were also disappointed by the "clientele" of the park. We were cut off by a motorcycle in the final feet going into the park. When we went to the hot tub that evening - a primary reason we went 45 minutes off our route - we heard the loud and obviously drunk talking about "those people with the Bernie sticker" that they had proudly cut off, "since they where obviously in the wrong state." We did not go to the tub. Verizon coverage: 2 of 5. - noelbob
Apr 2018 - $3.00
Good Thousand Trails. $3.00 charge for 50 amp sites. Mostly level back-in full hookup gravel sites. Usual Thousand Trails amenities-2 pools, playground, family and adult lodges. Permanent sites have been cleaned up and look a little better. Friendly people. Will stay here again. - teepee51
Oct 2016 - $30.00
Very nice location if you want to be right on the lake. The staff I dealt with was very friendly and helpful. The road into the park and around the park is paved but the sites are gravel. Picnic tables are not in the best condition and there is one ladies and men's room with one shower near the entrance to the park across the road from the office. The restroom was clean, but very aged and if you were to use the toilet you would want to cover the seat with toilet paper. Park has a very small playground for kids, but not much else. I was there in October, so not as many boaters using the park to launch their boats, but I could see during the summer it could be a nuance. Sites have 50 and 30 amp along with water, but no sewer though the park does have a dump site. There is wifi, but you would have to pay for it; I didn't use it so can't speak to the quality of it. I would warn that there are a lot of stickers; my dog was constantly getting them in her feet and coat. You would never want to walk bare footed. - ATV Guy
Apr 2015 - $30.00
My family and I stayed at this "newly renovated" resort with 19 RV spots. It was "below average", not good. Management offers NO DISCOUNTS (TACO, Sams, or Veteran) and plans to never do so. My wife and I attended the dinner cruise. It was good, except overheard another camper being nickel and dimed (after we all had paid $16 for dinner BBQ) over desert. They wanted to charge add't $4 for a small cup of pudding! They never told us of the upcharge!! Really! No Joke!! And to top it off, they had NO FULL HOOKUPS, and then charged $5 fee to use their sewer dump!! The RV spaces are gravel and very tight fits! Then, boat trailers park on top of the RV spots, thus blocking your entry into your sites. Finally, we had issues, as did other campers, with the low hanging tree limbs. These would scrap the top of our RVs. In all, we would NOT stay here again. - TXRVKing2013

I only seem to review parks when I really like them or don't. You will not have to guess which one this is. Firstly, this is not big rig friendly. Your experience begins on the approach, a narrow twisting road on a levee for about 2.5 miles, when you arrive and must descend a single lane, very steep drop off the levee to the park. What goes down must come up. The park is very poorly maintained: dusty roads, bumpy grass (sort of grass) sites, and very poor electric. I never looked in the showers etc, but the building looked very tired. Mostly permanents (maybe seasonal), but very few transients. My 50 amp connection was not working (causing my surge protector to hum) and not delivering power to the coach. The one small bright spot was when a maintenance man came over to check out the humming, and informed me that this site had poor power and I should move to another. He did assist me and we found another site and we were able to stay the night, but left the next day. The ride up the hill to the levee was equally challenging and I was very pleased to be on my way. Would not ever return (even for free). - Woody1
Apr 2016 - $7.00
First time to this park, and the last. Stayed here with Coast to Coast discount. Was charged $7.00 nightly for full hookup but only had 30 amp available, and we had to use adjoining electric because our electric was not working. Reported it to management but nothing ever happened to fix problem. Campsite was in a grassy area but probably had not been mowed in several months, grass all around was very tall which made it a mosquito haven. Staff were friendly but resort needs to fix gravel roads and general lawn maintenance. Stayed just down the road at another campground which was much more appealing and no fees. - Dedra C
Jul 2015 - $11.00
Campground nicely shaded by a canopy of trees along gravel driveways.
The biggest drawback to this park is the well deserved reputation for having long-term members in row E who disrespect the people passing through. The long-term members tend to annoy, harass, and disrespect the other campers.
Management has little control over these long-term dwellers who have a sense of entitlement.
Would we camp there again? Only of there were sites available away from row E. - Wanders
Oct 2018 - $52.00
Brand new facility. All concrete roads and pads. Beautiful grass. Great big dog park. Lovely facility. Owners extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. Very good wifi, excellent TV/Cable. - Phaeton_Driver
Jul 2018 - $58.00
The RV Resort is a gated facility with wide concrete interior roads. The pads are concrete, long, and wide enough for a motorhome and a towed vehicle. All sites are generously spaced with manicured grass between them. Depending on your chosen site, the patios have a picnic bench to a patio table and chairs with gas grills. The clubhouse has private individual showers and bathrooms, laundry room, and a large lounge. Another building with private individual showers/bathrooms will be completed in August which will include a fitness room and a second laundry room. The RV Resort is beautiful. It is a well maintained park and one of the best RV Parks in Texas. The owners are friendly and super helpful and they are genuine people who take great pride in their park. What can I say but "EXCELLENT" and a must stay if you are here. Lake Texoma and Highport Marina are within two (2) miles of the RV Park. - Retired Moose
May 2018 - $48.00
Park is extremely clean and well-maintained. Wide concrete pads and lots of lush grass between sites. Owners are very friendly and even helped us hook up our rig! We'll be back. - Richins
Jun 2009 - $8.00
I love COE campgrounds because they usually well maintained and easy to maneuver. This one is beginning to show some serious signs of age and is in need of TLC. The main road to the gate is bad enough, but the interior road is almost to the point of falling apart. The sites are still nice enough, but need some updating, cleaning and re-levelling. If you have a rig larger than 30' you probably want to stay with sites #34,#35,#37 and #38 only. The workampers at the park are among the very best and will make you feel welcome. It is very quiet on a peninsula at Lake Texoma and enjoyable. I would camp here again, however, the state park nearby is in much better condition and has full hookups. Also be careful when exiting the park as there is a lot of junky vehicles and trailers parked just outside the gate and they block you view of oncoming traffic from the north. - tbax46
May 2015 - $30.00
We stay here every Memorial Day. The owners are very friendly. My family would love to see an update to the road to the boat ramp, but wonderful place to stay. Very quiet. - SOSUGrad04
Aug 2006 - $25.00
Very clean, quiet and out of the way located off Highway 120 just west of Pottsboro. Close to Mill Creek Marina and several nice restaurants. Beautiful place to camp with a nice breeze off the lake. Also has cabins for rent and a place to launch boats and jet skis. This is our second time to visit this campground. We loved it! - dlrhodes
Jan 2019 - $20.00
This was our second time at this park and loved it both times. It’s a huge park with several camp site loops and shelters. Only two of the loops have water and electric, others have water only. The full hookups with all pull throughs is currently closed due to sewer problems. This park also has a 3 mile OTV trail but seems to always be closed so we haven’t been able to try them out yet. - TXCAMPN
Aug 2018 - $20.00
Nice place. The wifi does not reach beyond the ranger station. There is a repeater at the bathhouse, but I could never make it work there. This is a decent park with hiking trails and water access. We got chiggers in 2017, but had no trouble with any bugs in 2018. - TexPaul
Aug 2016 - $13.00
We love Eisenhower. It has some really beautiful spots. We tend to always stay on the full hookup sites that have mostly pull-thru drives. The game wardens are great about keeping the peace. The roads are really nice and you can drive your bike easily on them. The trailers are well maintained for both bikes (in designated areas) and hikers. They have a sandy beach you can hike down to and it is beautiful.
One of the roads accessing the parks is currently walked out but it should be repaired soon.
If you pick out a spot while in the office and do not like it when you get there, just call the office number and ask to switch. They are more than accommodating. - LMTurner74
Nov 2013 - $20.00
We drove the 5 1/2 miles off the highway, after a long travel day, to get to this campground, only to find out the only sites available were back-ins and the only one we fit into had the electrical box sealed. We walked the campground trying to find another spot, but none were long enough for us to leave our less than 32' 5th wheel attached to our truck. We also had to back up and re-enter some of the roads as they were all very narrow and lined with trees, so not much swing space. The sites were gravel and the majority of them were very uneven also. When I called this park earlier in the day, we were told they do not take reservations, it is first come first served. They told us to arrive and pick a spot. No one was at the entrance building when we arrived about 4:45 on a Sunday afternoon. After a half hour, we finally gave up, drove away and spent the night in the local Walmart - not my favorite place to spend the night at all - but there was nothing else! We will never come here again. - Kemptvillekids
Sep 2018 - $10.00
This is the biggest COE campground on Lake Texoma. The grounds are very well maintained but the sites are very close together except the full hookup sites away from the lake in the trees. Our site, B11, was right on the water but with no direct access. It was somewhat shaded and although very close to our next door neighbors, was very nice with table and fire pit. The swimming beach is very nice near the entrance to the campground and there is another beach area near the sites, although its location on a major part of the lake would make it difficult to swim due to boat traffic and waves. We were there for Labor Day weekend when the campground was full but once folks left, there were very few campers and it was very quiet. We would return to this campground again when in the area. The sites along the road in the B area are very close together but right on the water. One complaint was that people drove their vehicles way too fast on that stretch of road by those sites. Would suggest the campground put in some speed bumps. - Budmobile
Jul 2018 - $26.00
What a fantastic park! BRW is VERY well maintained. We were in C09 and it was so level we never had to unhook. There was not a bad RV spot in the park. Community restrooms/shower house were very clean and well maintained as well. The pull through RV spots offered a lot of room between you and the next RV which was very nice and something you do not often find and all spots were mostly shaded. We enjoyed the multiple access spots to the beach/lake. Very nice playground and sand volleyball court. Staff was friendly and welcoming. - OUFAN2010
Jun 2018 - $12.00
This is a fantastic park. The grounds are clean and well kept. The sites on the interior of the C loop are large and well separated. The only small negative we have is that there are no paper towels or hand driers in the restrooms. - SteveCampsTx
