Mar 2018 - $28.00
We rented a site from another campers and received a discount over 3 months. Pads are large and wide concrete. Roads are all paved without pot holes. Concrete curbs. 4 Swimming pools, 2 rec building, lots of activity, pickleball, tennis, dog runs, laundry. Most residents are over 60; not for kids. Lots of shopping within 18 miles. Wifi speed is near 50 mbps--very good. - HandyHank
Mar 2018 - $30.00
This is a nice, gated, well maintained park consisting of a mix of empty pads, RVs, park models, mobile homes and manufactured housing. There are multiple locations for pools, tennis courts, bathrooms/laundry/showers and many winter seasonal activities. There are several sections (and price categories) - the east side is the oldest with aged infrastructure, avoid it if possible. All this is at a premium price for the area. - TRVLaround
Feb 2018 - $20.00
Our first stay was 6 weeks in winter of 2016. We were there for 10 weeks in the winter of 2018. We obviously loved it the first time, and did so even more the second. There is so much to do! Loved learning to play pickle ball. The instructors did their best, but Fred Astaire I will never be. The wood shop is home to fantastic tools and skilled artisans. The people, from staff to fellow guests are beyond friendly. No stuffiness anywhere. We enjoyed the slowed down pace of the puzzle room and library. Rigs of all sizes and class, with those of modest means and those of substantial means all enjoying the facilities and each other's company. We have reserved next season for over three months. - Sam Sprott

Jan 2019 - $38.00
Friendly staff and fellow campers and full timers. All hook up available. Some permanent homes on site. People very friendly. - sgstepp
Oct 2016 - $21.00
Price is through Passport America. plus add $4 per night resort fee. So makes it 24.50 night. This is mostly permanent park model homes, and winter quarters for snow birds. We were just passing through the area, and didn't use any ameninities. Our space barely fit our 43' RV and our space was very narrow. Thank goodness there was no one right next to us. All people we came in contact with were very pleasant. No problem getting around the park in RV. Great location for dentists in Progresso. No Wi-if. No trees to block satellite. Good antenna channels. All utilities worked fine. Not really our style of campground we're usually looking for. - OnTheRoadLife
Dec 2015 - $18.00
Rate was $99 for a week, plus $4 per day for resort fee for first time park visitors. Regular rate was $39 plus $4 per day resort fee. The park was very neat and clean. Our site had a grass parking spot that was large enough for our 30 ft. fifth wheel and had a wide paved pad for our truck. The only draw back was that all connections were at the back of the site and we had to connect two water hoses and had to borrow a sewer hose to reach. The snowbirds that reside here are very friendly and there are lots of activities. The pool heater was not working during our stay, but we were able to go to the sister park next door and use the pool there. There are fruit trees all around the park from which we could pick from. There was no problem with road noise and we only heard a train once in a while. - BigR

Jan 2011 - $15.00
We are from Canada, we love it in this park. Quiet safe at night, good and helpful management always ready to help if needed. People very friendly and lots of room for our 41 feet motorhome. The only problem that I had is only one billiard table and most of the player are playing from 7 am to 9 am. - gaetan santerre
Dec 2009 - $14.00
This is an old park that has many mobile homes and park models. In the winter they sandwich RVs into the park. They were taking away the back sites, the only pull-through sites, and placing a variety of used mobile homes on those sites. They are focusing on more full-time residents and fewer Winter Texans to pay increased property taxes. They generally have no restrictions in the park so the type of occupants of these units might be termed, ‘questionable’. We, and friends who stayed here for the past 14 years, will not be returning for this reason. The site we were on was so tight we could not deploy our window awning due to the structure next to us. The occupant of that park model did not appreciate our presence that made his parking more difficult. My low rating reflects the changes they were making and the impact on Winter Texan RV guests. - Workamper04
Mar 2008 - $25.00
Pet restrictions, 30 pounds and 2 animals. Some of the sites are very tight. They let people park on the streets which can make it harder to try to back into a site. We paid $3 more for pull through sites at the back of the park. They were great. This is a nice RV park. 1015 appeared to be about 80% RV’s. Mostly motorhomes and 5th wheels. We drove around and looked at others in the Weslaco area. Some were nicer but they looked like they were 90% mobile homes. Many of the parks in the Rio Grande Valley are not listed here or in Trailer Life. Ranchero RV Park had a new section for RV’s only but it had no shade. The park looked very nice and had some pull trous. Leisure World appeared to be 98% mobile homes. Country Sunshine had some RV spaces and a lot of park models and mobiles homes. Magic Valley had older park models and mobile homes. Pine to Palm looked very nice but was a no children, no pets, park. Llano is large and very nice ( 5 pools). The key is to try to find out what they are in advance. Do they shove your RV into an empty site designed for a mobile home or semi permanent park model? If you are with a group, can you get all the sites together? - johnwadams

Dec 2018 - $21.00
LARGE sites with double-wide cement pads. RVs have their own area in back of park which was very nice. Staff excellent! Host even delivered some of our mail! One of the friendliest parks we've been in...both RVers and long-termers. Excellent Christmas dinner! Laundry very inexpensive. Certainly would return again...centrally located in the Rio Grande Valley. Had to use a box (free) from Spectrum for cable TV but were able to buy Wifi via cable for $5/month. - Mainiac
Feb 2018 - $20.00
Very very nice park, very clean, very friendly and a lot of fun activities. Could live here full time..... - Cursan1
Mar 2014 - $10.00
Our 3rd winter there. As mentioned, lots of things to do both in the park and in the surrounding area. Mexico is about 6 miles away. The back-in sites have concrete pads that are 44' x 18'. If you can not back into a pad this big... The RV section, being in a separate section, is a big plus. A club house, laundry, paved streets, low level lighting, a gated entrance make this a great place to spend the winter. - jlb27537

Dec 2017 - $30.00
Stayed there for two months. Paid monthly rate plus electricity, that seemed reasonable. Park had activity center for bbq's, holiday meals, bingo, cards. The pool was very nice. Office personnel were always friendly and helpful. The only downside we had with the park is that there are residents that live there year round, in park models, and not all friendly to "Winter Texans". Once we moved to a RV spot and not in a long term resident spot we were much happier. - RV FullTimers
Feb 2016 - $30.00
Spent 3 months here as a snowbird. After perhaps half our time here we discovered that the park has a number of unfriendly permanent residents. Most were very friendly, the few that weren't rather spoiled the experience. The park itself is clean, laid out relatively well and the management was responsive to problems. There are many activities in the club house as well as shuffleboard and a pool/hot tub. - Chalkie
Jan 2016 - $12.00
People where very friendly. We liked the park. It is geared for park mobile homes so sites are harder to back into but not that bad. Plenty of activities in the park thing you can do almost every day in the park. I've never seen anything excellence so I didn't rate that high but it's a good park and we'd be back. - JustDon

Jan 2014 - $21.00
$20.50 per night was the Passport America rate for a full hookup site for three nights. Sites are level grass with a concrete pad for parking a vehicle and setting up chairs/table/BBQ unit. The park is very quiet at night. The park does have palm trees, but they wouldn't provide much shade in the summertime, as well as many bush-type and flowering plants. The park is near downtown Weslaco so there are many conveniences within a short drive. If you like walking/biking there are many miles of paved trails in town. Fishing/boating is available on the Gulf. Spacing between the sites was fairly generous being that there are many people living in mobile home type models. The park has many “winter Texans” who are very friendly. There are many activities scheduled in this 55+ park—shuffleboard, card games, exercise class, lunches/dinners, crafts, and the like. City water is chlorinated safe but not tasty. We received excellent AT&T and Verizon LTE reception. Park Wi-Fi is available for an extra fee. We received 10 over-the-air TV stations. - DD Rolling Ranch

Jan 2017 - $32.00
We have been here for 2 months and the hot tub has only been operable a week. Stagnet water from hot tub flows into pool. Sandburs are in grass and streets are full of potholes and gravel. Managers are unfriendly and if complaints are addressed they tell people to go to higher management, which is never here. Over 60 units are for sale and park owners are buying so many units that people can't sale that they will own the majority of them. The only good thing we have to say is the entertainment on Sunday nights is very well organized but the dance manager is Very rude!!! The maintenance personal walks around or rides around the majority of the day doing very little. The park does allow pets but there are places their owners fail to pick up after them. The policy says no dogs over 35 lbs. are allowed but there are large Labs and other dogs. We won't be returning! - varietytravekers
Feb 2016 - $23.00
Cleaning staff no where to be found. Showers need a good bleaching. With the amount of people using restrooms they could be wiped down more often than they are. The pool has a ring around the water line. The hot tub needs a good cleaning. The main hall needs the tables and chairs moved and floors cleaned. The cleaning standards of this park, is way below what I expected. Not impressed with filth of this park. Need professional cleaners in this park. - being honest 123
Feb 2015 - $42.00
A busy Winter Texan Park. 90% Canadians and very friendly folks. Local access to plenty of local stores, a Major Outlet Mall 5 min. away, 45 min . from Padre Island and of course 7 miles from Progresso, Mexico. You name it and it's a pretty good chance of being nearby. Great local fresh vegetables and lots of citrus. Dances appeared to be every week and a variety of music. Heated pool & Spa. An entire pool hall with 12 tables. 18 or 20 Shuffle courts. Sorry forgot to count. A club house for Darts, quilting and wood carving. A brand new laundromat on site. A card game, jig-saw puzzle and domino hall. New managers were a great couple. Craft shows and lots of Canadian entertainers as well as American. Some sites weren't level but, we're manageable. Medium to Big rigs. Not a lot available in the winter as it's a seniors Park and pretty full of winter folks. All sites are Full hookups and 50 amp. Service. Monthly and seasonal rates available. Also many Park Models on site. Looks like over 400 RV and mobile home sites. Secure gated Park at night. On-site management 24/7. Unfortunately lots of traffic noise. Dog park is small and self maintained by tenants. Most owners seem to be responsible. Very large dogs discouraged for long stays. - Breen Family

Park has not been updated in several years. Sites are OK in size, all back-in. Staff is semi helpful. Have stayed there for several years but changing locations this year. They have maintenance people that respond pretty quickly for problems. WIFI has been upgraded and available at each site, but you pay for it. We normally stay for a month each year. Entertainment was not the same quality as earlier years. Location is centrally located for most activities in the area. - edmyers5
Nov 2011 - $30.00
Very unfriendly park, RVer's friendly, but park itself is unwelcoming. Gate is locked at all times with no attendant, difficult to access if visiting. Also have started charging visitors to attend park activities. - RickPen
Jan 2010 - $14.00
Rate is figured on a three month stay. The people are very friendly and there are quite a few activities. The park is past it's prime and they aren't putting any money into it to try to upgrade it. You park on grass and put your truck or car on a concrete pad. The manager won't do anything but walk outside and smoke. That may be her job? Pretty quiet with a short drive to Hwy 83 to get just about anywhere in the valley. Wi-Fi is available in the clubhouse and it is pretty good most of the time. The bathrooms are generally clean but aging. Shade is not really available, there are a few trees but not a lot. - joe the rv'er
