We had a crew for a job out in the area with 9 RV's we needed and they were able to accommodate us. The manager was great, she stayed with us till all the RV's were parked. The park was easy to find off interstate 20. They have a logo sign at the interstate exit and a huge, illuminated sign at the entrance of the park. Park is clean and showers are also very clean. They have a laundry and a pool (yaaaa). So if you're traveling to the West, stop by this park, you won't be disappointed. - Lizd29
Feb 2018 - $35.00
The best I can say about it is you can pull off for the night when tired of driving. - sandawilliams
Apr 2017 - $35.00
The park not maintained Grass uncut. No lighting. It's a poor trailer park. Management absent from property. A one night stand if you can't find another park. - Geno1986
Oct 2018 - $35.00
If you want a quiet campground, this is not the place. The park is within a 1/4 mile of 2 major truck stops and I-20. Other than that, the staff is very helpful. The bathhouse and laundry areas are exceptionally clean. The office area has a pool table and large screen TV. The site was level with no shade. There are sites with shade. All utilities worked just fine. No table or fire ring. - Poe Dog
Oct 2018 - $36.00
This is the second time we have stayed at this park and will be back. It's small without a lot of amenities but very nice for an overnight or couple of days' stay. The sites are long, fairly level gravel with quite a bit of space between them and some large trees for shade. All utilities worked well, including cable and wi-fi. Staff is friendly and helpful and trash is picked up daily from your site. It is across the road from a large Love's truck stop and close to the interstate so there is some road noise plus a nearby train track but we didn't find it too loud with the windows closed and the A/C running. - SandyA
Aug 2018 - $36.00
This was an overnight stop for us. This park is very nice. Landscaped very well, with lots of space between sites. Water pressure was very good. The park is located off of the interstate, but was very quiet. Office staff is very nice. We arrived after the office was closed, but site info was left out front for us. Will definitely stay here again. - MGR58
Jun 2015 - $30.00
In town right off the interstate. Not in a very nice/safe looking neighborhood. Some pull thru sites but they are very short. Check in was not ideal. When you enter, there is a very run down house that looks like it should be condemned. The office is a little further in. When we arrived it was closed and it said to check in at a certain site number or to call a phone number. The site numbers were not visible so it was impossible to locate the site they referred to. By the looks of the mostly permanent trailers, I would not want to risk knocking on the wrong door. I called the number and the lady came right over.
We checked into a site right in front of the office. When we plugged our EMS/ surge protector it read high voltage! Needless to say we could not stay. They were very nice about refunding our money.
Most of the sites were occupied with what appeared to be permanent residents or maybe rentals working in the oilfields.
Unless you are really desperate I would recommend passing Sweetwater on by. - jvkATX
Jul 2014 - $10.00
Sites are scattered over the campgound, but dispersed so you are not close. First electric we tried had open ground, but the one on the other side of the pole was good. Managed by the city and had a very friendly host on site. Great little park for an over night or a few days. We will come back. - Orlan
Oct 2013 - $27.00
Limited sites, good overnight stop. - twocoots
Mar 2018 - $15.00
Owner had to run an electrical cord to my RV & add an adapter for my 30amp. Dogs roam property unleashed with no owner in site. Dogs at the home across the street attempted to come into park where I was walking my (LEASHED DOG) upon arrival. No, the train didn't stop at 11:00pm...more like, last whistle at 11:45pm. It started up again at 5:00am. 4-5 full-timers and someone has a loud muffler. Leaving in and out several times during the early morning hours at 3-5am. I stayed one night and couldn't even walk my dog in the morning because of the 2 loose dogs wandering the property. Beware! I did dump my tanks (really not needed). I should have boondocked. Being the only RV, sorry I didn't feel safe whatsoever. I gave it a chance despite the reviews from at least 2yrs ago; evidently, nothing has changed. - BOOMER N me
Mar 2018 - $25.00
Rating is based on how well they deliver what they promise. This is a no frills park that is under renovation. All the sites have new power pedestals but they aren't activated yet. The host has VERY long extension cords running from the main power panel to your site, which work well. Quite location, far enough away from the interstate to abate traffic noise. Cash only, military discount. - OpaS
Mar 2018 - $15.00
The owner is very friendly and helpful, he helped me hookup while we were talking. This is a Passport America park. Pull thru site was long and level with all utilities conveniently located at the rear of the site. Sites and interior roads are gravel.
If coming in from the west, park is on the right shortly after RR underpass: watch for rvs and office is the little building by the flags. This is a relatively new park, a work in progress and it's coming along nicely. Will definitely stay here when in area. - Critter
Oct 2018 - $23.00
The people there are great - very courteous and friendly. They have clean restrooms and showers. The wifi actually worked great. I highly recommend The Comfort Zone. I wish all RV parks were like them. The lots are really spacious. All in all the best RV park I've been to in a long time. - Freddy01
Mar 2011 - $18.00
Park is old but functional for short stay. Location: 32.4067, -100.7588 or approx 5 miles East of Colorado City along the frontage road south of I-20. Host lives on-site and was helpful. Does not accept credit cards. - Gary B
Feb 2018 - $15.00
Strange campground, but with W/E sites for $15/night, it was worth a stay just to run the electric heater and the furnace on a windy, very cold February night. And the cottonwood and oak trees around the edges of the campground helped reduce the constant north wind. The sites were fairly widely spaced, but each power post/faucet had two sides--one on gravel and one on grass/weeds. We picked the grass side of our site because it was a little more level, but we could still put the truck on the downhill side because we weren't unhooking the trailer. This would probably be a great park for fall or spring camping with its two campgrounds, a lake for fishing and boating, a marina, a golf course, and a general store. There was some noise from the nearby highway and there were very few OTA TV stations. But for us, it worked well as a brief stop on a long, cold Texas plains night even though the price was just raised from $10 to $15/night on Jan. 1, 2018. - fanrgs
Nov 2016 - $1.00
This place is a few miles off the interstate and signs are few and far between however the GPS coordinates were spot on. Roads and sites are gravel. Sites are just kind of scattered around in amongst the trees. You find power (30 & 50 amp) and water that are close to one of the wide spots, park and hook up! Most areas are level and range in size from small to huge. No problem finding an open spot for satellite and Verizon 4G was strong. Very quiet sparsley populated with campers. Great place for an overnight stop to get away from the interstate noise. - Pjoe
Apr 2016 - $10.00
Nice park located below the dam of lake. Trees and shade available. Dump station located near exit of park. Power pedestal located next to site. We camped during motorcycle rally and cook-off. - TnL Thomas
Nov 2018 - $27.00
good for an overnight stay. Very basic, no trees, grass or landscaping. Easy maneuvering. Staff is part time but available by phone. Most rigs in park appear to be long term. I would stay again if passing through. - John Zumwalt
May 2018 - $27.00
Nice park and great staff. Grassy, level sites, but ours was littered with cigarette butts, which detracted from pleasant time outside. RV parks in this part of Texas are very popular with oil and gas workers, so finding a nice one can be a challenge. We would stop again at Lone Wolf Creek. - RDABBA
Oct 2017 - $27.00
Good overnight spot off I-20 mile-marker 217. Not fancy but all services work well. - Lafitte
Jan 2019 - $28.00
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this park! We spent one night here on our way from Michigan to Arizona. It was a cold night, but the restroom was heated, and the shower, albeit rustic, was clean and spacious. We loved the scenery and listening to the coyotes at night. We would have loved spending another night or two here! It was a few miles off the freeway, but the roads were paved and in good condition. All the interior roads were asphalt, and our site was a very large pull-through. - SewBzzzy
Dec 2018 - $22.00
This campground is 5 miles off I-20. Good paved interior roads and spacious sites, some pull-throughs and some back-ins. Our site (#41) was a long, gravel, pull-through with a lake view, and a covered picnic table. We had to do some leveling, but most sites appeared to be fairly level. We would stay here again. - FranM
Jun 2018 - $30.00
This park has large spaces and although its showing its age, everything worked fine and we were one of only a few campers in the park. Verizon and ATT both worked well. There is a hiking path that we took advantage of as well. It was only about 5 miles from the main interstate so it worked fine as an overnight spot. We elected to pay $2 extra for a pull thru so we didnt have to disconnect. The site was long enough and reasonably level. The campground roads we open and easy to navigate. - Soos
