Nice park, quiet. Sites are tight. Premium sites have trees. Not busy so we did not have any campers to either side of us. Front desk very cordial and accommodating. I'd stay here again. Dog run very small but plenty of places to walk dogs around site. - KMK
Apr 2018 - $45.00
We stayed at this park because of the great reviews and so close to Seaworld. The one star is for the friendly staff and the beautiful pool which was out of order. These sites are very very small and are no more than 8 ft from trailer to trailer. Half of your site is medium size rocks, the other half is sad grass with sticker burs. There are trees on one side of the rv park and none on the other. There is a night guard because of theft problems and although free Saturday morning donuts was advertised, we had to go out and buy our own. Fed up with all the disappointments we decided to leave a day early since we couldn't even swim and they would not refund our last day that we wouldn't be using because it's against their policy. I have never written a bad review of any rv park but felt the need to forewarn others. - KandK09
Jan 2018 - $59.00
Just an ok park. A resort, not on your life, unless have a pool makes it so. Nothing special, most of street are downhill and pad are fairly level. Limited parking at showers and r/r with no handicap parking visible. Pull through sites if you disconnect your toad. Not really big rig friendly. Traveling in a Winneabgo Journey 42e. - Hoegee

The name has been changed to Alamo City RV Park. Very nice park with very helpful staff. Bus line to downtown just outside the park and for $2.75 you can ride around town all day. The park is expanding so in the future there will be many more spaces. - Papa Frank
Nov 2018 - $40.00
New owners/management...lots of upgrades and repairs underway. Easy access from highway, very friendly staff, great amenities. Once all upgrades complete, this will be a "10". Has bus route to attractions but we took uber to nearby restaurant and had awesome dinner out. Even the construction crew in the morning were friendly! We stayed just one night en route to Arizona but would have loved to stay longer. - burt64
Aug 2018 - $37.00
This is a very nice campground. There are some shady sites and some sunny sites. We had a long pull-through site with two trees. The sites are gravel with cement patios and a very nice picnic table. The office building also has a beautiful sitting area where you can relax, read a book, watch tv, or chat with a friend. The people in the office are friendly and helpful. The laundry is clean and has five washers ($1.50) and six dryers ($1.50). If ever in this area again, we will definitely stay here. - mrpeepers

Nice enough TV park but extremely tight for big rigs...trees overhanging roadways & sites & very sharp turns especially when towing. Don't believe we will be staying here again! - bonniesoo
Feb 2018 - $47.00
The park roads were asphalt and easily maneuverable with a 36' DP motorhome, and there were LOTS of trees. Our site had grass, which is more important if you have dogs. There was a cable TV connection, and 7 OTA TV stations were also available. This was a HUGE park (estimated 300+ spaces), laid out in very orderly rows. The water was easy to connect to, and the water pressure was good. The RV parking pad was concrete and was in good condition. The WiFi connection was nothing short of superb, with great internet bandwidth. Verizon cell signal was 5 out of 5 bars. We don't use restrooms, showers or pools, so we can't render an opinion on those items. There was a very nice dog park for our 4 footed friends (we travel with 3 golden retrievers). We did not notice any significant road noise, but noise like that doesn't bother us anyway. The site wasn't long enough to park in front of the motorhome, but there was room alongside of it. The price was reasonable to slightly high for the services received, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. - Don Gagnon
May 2017 - $60.00
This park is beautifully laid out and landscaped, but the amenities are difficult to use, making it not worth the price. It is not a camper oriented park. If you have a problem after hours there is no one to call. We spent a night without wifi due to this. Streets are narrow and turns are tight. There are 3 bathroom/ shower cabins with 4 showers in each which were good but often dirty and only open from 8 am - 9 pm - odd as the showers also had coded locks. The showers are also cleaned only during the open hours and so are dirty first thing in the morning and inaccessible while they are cleaned. As we were out and about seeing the city we were only able to use these showers twice during the week we stayed there. It was very irritating having to use the RV shower because we went out to dinner or saw a movie. The small pool advertised as heated was pretty, but not heated - it was freezing and we could not use it. We saw people in it only once during our week there. When I talked to the manager she explained she had a policy to turn it off at a certain date regardless of weather and she couldn't just turn it on and off every day etc.. Regardless, if you say you are the best in San Antonio and advertise a heated pool - you should provide it. Her attitude and inflexibility did not make me feel she cared about our experience. In fact, we chose this park because of the heated pool and would have stayed somewhere less expensive had their website been truthful. There was no hot tub, sauna, or any other type of spa facility. There were no activities or social events. The wifi was fine and offered a streaming speed for a fee. The laundry room was spacious and the washers were ok. The park had a clever little playground and a small children's pool near the main pool. Overall, we will not stay here again. In fact, we moved after a week to a less expensive park in Schertz that had a amazing hot tub and a friendlier vibe. We only wished we had left sooner. - Ibvicki

This is a brand new small park. Don't expect too much as they are still working on it. It is located out in the country about 30 min from downtown San Antonio. Very quiet and peaceful and not much around. Owner and the staff are very nice and personable. If you want peace and quiet, this the place. Call ahead of your arrival at the gate may be closed and you need a code. - db77
May 2017 - $38.00
We arrived on May 27 and stayed till August 1st. We knew there were no amenities and excepted that fact but were assured that shower, laundromat, wifi, and dog park would be completed by July 1st. They have not been completed as of this writing. Our neighbors consisted of 2 other campers. As now only one remains as us and another person left today. My wife fell down and fractured a rib after tripping at the laundry room construction area in the evening while walking our dog. Management never commented; nor acknowledged this incident. We thought she was just sore from the fall and hoped the pain would subside. Two days later; she was having trouble breathing so we went to a emergency clinic in the evening. Diagnosed with a fractured rib. We were going to head home for a few days to take care of our end of month business; but she was too sore to make the trip. So I had to go alone. While I was there she got worse and called me. I called our neighbor and he checked on her and decided to call 911 for transport to the emergency room at the nearest hospital. He tried to contact Resort manager to have them open the ranch gate for EMS. They never responded. Had he not been there; they would never have gained access. He let them in and proceeded to the hospital. These people never responded nor shown any concern. I don't like writing reviews; but feel people need to know what to expect. Especially elderly RVers such as us. - W-Johnson

For the most part a self service park. Never saw any management. Office was always locked. Grass is well maintained but utilities, roads, etc are in need of upgrading. Roads are terrible all over the AFB. Water connections leak, cable boxes broken, laying on the ground. Spaces are generous, but be careful of low limbs. Bring your own Mi-Fi. Park's Wi-Fi is all but unusable. Price reflects $440/month. We would stay again. - Deck & Margot
Nov 2013 - $30.00
This RV park should not be open. There is no Wi-Fi or cable. The sites are not level and the roads are full of pot holes. The only thing going for it is the price. $355.00 per month keeps it pretty well full of workers. - possumtrotky
Jan 2013 - $12.00
This RV park is in very bad shape and should not be open. The roads have deep pot holes everywhere. The sites are narrow and utilities are on the wrong side for hooking up. My rate is based on a monthly stay of $355 per month. The lady that works nights is very friendly. There are no rules in this park, but it is quiet, and all dogs are on a leash. - possumtrotky

Nov 2018 - $28.00
Checking in, the office worker told us to just come back tomorrow and take care of the check in and payment. Roads are badly potholed throughout the park. Lots of long term residents with junk in their sites. Several trailers looked like FEMA units. No continuity at the park. Old mattresses and couches left by the dumpsters. Dogs and cats running loose through the park. Sewer connection wouldn't secure, it had broken and the pipe and threads were not aligned. Sewer was at the back of the unit, had to stretch our hoses to reach. Anthills everywhere. Did not feel overly safe. Kept everything locked and closed. Look elsewhere. - Rae & Mark
Jun 2014 - $40.00
While the people in the office were nice, the park itself was the nastiest I've seen. 98% was run-down full-timer sites. Our site was an un-level mud pit, water was broken-although was repaired while we were there, had to use Lowe's WIFI since park's did not work.Very run down. Full-timer next door used his hammer to build something on his front patio until midnight. Unhook TOAD at parking lot. Whole park is next to busy freeway. - OurRVLife
Jul 2013 - $20.00
Lots of seasonal RVers, oil field workers, permanent residents. But park is not trashy and most sites are kept up. Gravel roads & all pull-through sites. Good WiFi from park or Lowe's. Unlike 1 poster, I used the WiFi on both my iPhone & iPad with no problem & signal was consistently good. Most sites in full sun. Park is close to Walmart, HEB, Walgreens, several fast-food places. And right on I-35, but I'm not bothered by highway noises. I used PPA and also wouldn't pay full price, but for $20 all I wanted after a day of sight-seeing was good WiFi & electricity to run the AC. - happybooker1

This is the biggest and nicest KOA I have ever seen. Big camp store, friendly staff, clean private showers, breakfast available Wed-Sat, pizza and wings available from office, big laundry room, big kids playground, pool, cable, wi-fi, lots of grass for dog walking. Warning - if you come during Feb., all reservations are non-refundable because it's rodeo month! - Capt.Deb
Feb 2019 - $48.00
Big park about a $8.00 Lyft ride away from downtown, the city bus also picks up right across the street from the park. Escorted us to our large graveled pull through site. Good strong power & way fast WiFi! The newer restroom/showers are very nice. We would stay here again. - Tredguy

Jan 2019 - $53.00
We spent five nights here while visiting the Riverwalk, Missions and the Alamo. The site was nice and long for our motorhome and towed vehicle, and the grass and trees were pretty.......but the surrounding area outside the fence was very SHADY! We heard constant sirens during the night, and we were warned to "be sure to keep things locked up, especially bikes", as some of the neighbors had theirs stolen. The managers/owners and office help were not friendly or helpful, and didn't seem to want to return a smile. LOL! The bathrooms and showers were cleaned once a day, but had a lot of traffic.....and it showed. The exhaust fans didn't seem to work well, so you took a "sauna" instead of a shower. LOL! Overall, the grounds were very well kept and it was a convenient place in which to stay to see the Riverwalk and surrounding area since the bus stops were right at the entrance. - SewBzzzy
Jan 2019 - $52.00
Stayed here in a 40' MH with toad. Neighborhood around park was a bit concerning, but the park is very nice and clean. Interior roads are asphalt. Sites are gravel. The sites are close together and some have utility poles on them that can require some maneuvering to work with slideouts. There are concrete patios on the sites. The site was plenty long enough for our MH and toad. There seems to be a large staff that maintains the campground and they do a good job. As others mentioned, they groom the gravel sites after a camper leaves. There is a nice dog park, on site store, laundry mat, assembly building, etc. It is convenient to downtown San Antonio sites; especially The River Walk. There are grocery stores, Walmart, drug stores, fast food, etc., within a couple of miles of the campground. Some of the corners were tight to maneuver around. One item I definitely didn't care for is they have placed large blocks of limestone along the edges of several of the turns to prevent people from getting off the road without damaging your RV. This seems to be a bad decision if you respect your customer's property more than you care about your grass. Why not just make the corners wider or install gravel along the edges in case someone gets off the road rather than using something that would seriously damage an RV if a driver isn't watching carefully? We have been to San Antonio several times and stayed at some higher end parks than this, but the convenience of this one to The River Walk makes it one I would return to. - Phaeton_Owner
Dec 2018 - $59.00
Not in the best neighborhood of San Antonio, but always felt safe, especially in the park and along the miles of river walk adjoining the park. They raked the gravel sites between campers like Disney.
Clearly they took a lot of pride in the appearance of the park.
Good Verizon coverage, very bad AT&T coverage, Campground Wi-Fi was so-so (average).
Very close to downtown San Antonio and the Alamodome.
Our site had a broken sewer connection, but I made it work.
Very little room for the toad. - Klappa

Jan 2018 - $40.00
I stayed here two years ago, prior to new management, and had positive memories of the place, quiet, nothing fancy, but that is what you get for cheap. This time around, with the increased price, the improvements I noticed were small dog run, mowed back yard to get an extra couple of feet of walking with the dogs, excellent wifi and cable. The downsides are back placement of sewer connection (bring 3 sections of hose if your drain is mid-RV); sewer connection is up hill; sites are uneven front-back & side-to-side; most sites are narrow (wasn't a problem years ago because few spots were occupied); our site had crushed rocks aka ankle twisters and a spattering of cement blocks (didn't even want to look out the window let alone sit outside); lots of bits of litter everywhere, lots of dog poop everywhere, laundry room was clean at a casual glance, but upon closer inspection could use a deep clean. (I didn't go in the bathrooms.) - MichelleKry
Jun 2017 - $1.00
Stayed here 2 weeks in June. Nice place, reasonably priced, friendly staff but most importantly, quiet & peaceful. Not once did I hear sirens or train horns through the night. I would recommend Tejas to anyone. - rbtpro
