Nice park but not what I would call Luxury. It’s very busy and seems like a lot of full time folk. They are strict about no noise after 9pm. Our site and many of the sites have no picnic table at all and the cost to get a picnic table was an upgrade, my feeling is this should be standard. There are no firepits at all and this place seems to go dead in the evening. We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice enough TV park but extremely tight for big rigs...trees overhanging roadways & sites & very sharp turns especially when towing. Don't believe we will be staying here again! We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The park roads were asphalt and easily maneuverable with a 36' DP motorhome, and there were LOTS of trees. Our site had grass, which is more important if you have dogs. There was a cable TV connection, and 7 OTA TV stations were also available. This was a HUGE park (estimated 300+ spaces), laid out in very orderly rows. The water was easy to connect to, and the water pressure was good. The RV parking pad was concrete and was in good condition. The WiFi connection was nothing short of superb, with great internet bandwidth. Verizon cell signal was 5 out of 5 bars. We don't use restrooms, showers or pools, so we can't render an opinion on those items. There was a very nice dog park for our 4 footed friends (we travel with 3 golden retrievers). We did not notice any significant road noise, but noise like that doesn't bother us anyway. The site wasn't long enough to park in front of the motorhome, but there was room alongside of it. The price was reasonable to slightly high for the services received, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is beautifully laid out and landscaped, but the amenities are difficult to use, making it not worth the price. It is not a camper oriented park. If you have a problem after hours there is no one to call. We spent a night without wifi due to this. Streets are narrow and turns are tight. There are 3 bathroom/ shower cabins with 4 showers in each which were good but often dirty and only open from 8 am - 9 pm - odd as the showers also had coded locks. The showers are also cleaned only during the open hours and so are dirty first thing in the morning and inaccessible while they are cleaned. As we were out and about seeing the city we were only able to use these showers twice during the week we stayed there. It was very irritating having to use the RV shower because we went out to dinner or saw a movie. The small pool advertised as heated was pretty, but not heated - it was freezing and we could not use it. We saw people in it only once during our week there. When I talked to the manager she explained she had a policy to turn it off at a certain date regardless of weather and she couldn't just turn it on and off every day etc.. Regardless, if you say you are the best in San Antonio and advertise a heated pool - you should provide it. Her attitude and inflexibility did not make me feel she cared about our experience. In fact, we chose this park because of the heated pool and would have stayed somewhere less expensive had their website been truthful. There was no hot tub, sauna, or any other type of spa facility. There were no activities or social events. The wifi was fine and offered a streaming speed for a fee. The laundry room was spacious and the washers were ok. The park had a clever little playground and a small children's pool near the main pool. Overall, we will not stay here again. In fact, we moved after a week to a less expensive park in Schertz that had a amazing hot tub and a friendlier vibe. We only wished we had left sooner. We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park was like your own little oasis, with lush trees and grass every where, and large concrete pads, and paved roads thru out and a good spacing between other RV's. It was totally shady, which is a must in the hot time of summer in San Antonio. This is one of the best RV parks we have stayed at in the last 30 or so parks we have stayed at. We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is clean and well kept. The pool is nice. The facilities are nice. The store and the people who worked there were perfectly pleasant all the time. Laundry was easy to access with plenty of units. We would definitely stay here again if we were going back. We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice resort park. Nice pool (although it was cool when we were there and didn't use it) nice game room too. Very friendly folks at check in. Great dog parks, they have two. Seems to be quite a few snow birds, but that's Ok. Pads were fairly level. We didn't use the wifi. Only negative was a night there was a lot of traffic noise from the two highways close by. Lots to do in San Antonio, we will be back. We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Even with directions we had a little trouble finding this place and when we were told not to listen to our GPS, they were absolutely right , don't use your GPS. The staff was so wonderful and so helpful. I really appreciated them. Cable channels were a bit sparse and disappointing, especially if you don't like Fox News. The sites were well spaced, lots of shade trees and long enough for RV and tow. Bathrooms were very nice, clean and the water was hot. Lots of snowbirds but still there was room for folks just traveling thru. We would certainly return. We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The sites are very roomy and nice, a very pretty RV park. There are a couple things I think should be changed or fixed. The most important is that the bath houses are closed between 9pm - 8am. This is not only inconvenient, it can be very dangerous. When we were there, San Antonio was hit with a major storm, and there were tornados. With no buildings available to go into, we were sitting ducks. Lucky for us they didn't hit us. Also, the internet was not reliable. We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We did not stay but were in the area so we checked it out for a potential stay in June. We first drove through the campground and checked out the sites, which seemed fairly nice, some spaced better then others, many with at least some shade. Pool and common areas looks nice too. We went into the office to book a reservation. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and we started the process. She gave us a site and we said we liked it because it was close to the bathrooms, our trailer has no facilities. That is when she told us the deal breaker, the bathrooms are not accessible between 9PM and 8AM. This is not mentioned anywhere on their website. If it were not for that we would have stayed at this campground in a heartbeat. We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Rate based on monthly stay and includes all utilities (power, water, sewer, cable, and wifi). All sites are concrete pads, but some are slightly unlevel (park streets are hilly). Beautiful live oak trees throughout, but everything is nicely maintained. Park requires units 10 years or newer, but will accept other years in good condition. Full time sights are well kept and clean, and management is strict about maintaining your site. Staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Park is located off 1604, so front sites can be a bit noisy. Our spot was located near back of park, so it was very quiet. Nice pool and spa, Rec room with coin operated amusements, very large laundry room, and two dog parks with separate areas for small and large dogs. Management sponsors frequent events like pot lucks, exercise classes, low cost breakfasts and dinners, etc. Very nice park, but sites are quite close. Will definitely stay again. Overall Rating:

Delightful first visit of five nights - 2016-11-15/20. Had premier site, which was worth the additional $$$. Site was nicely level, and long enough for truck in front of trailer and another car behind. Entire park was well kept, clean spaces and facilities. Nice dog park. Office, club house, pool and hot tub were pretty. Small and well kept playground. Most of the residents were there for a longer period - winter Texans. Staff was professional and friendly. We rank this park as the place to stay when on the west side of San Antonio. There is an HEB+ food store just south, and there are plenty of other stores nearby. Rate based on monthly rate. Have stayed here 12 mo while retirement was pending. Clean park, great pool, nice bathhouses (3), small exercise room. Nice sites, ours was premium with plenty of room on passenger side for patio, chairs, etc. Many trees, dog park split for small/large dogs. Would stay here again without hesitation. We had the pleasure of staying at Blazing Star 4 years ago when we were waiting for our new home to built. We rented a friend's trailer and stayed there the summer of 2012. We had a wonderful time. Just recently, for many reasons, we decided to sell our home and RV full time. We bought a motorhome and stayed at Blazing Star for 5 days. It was even better than it was 4 years ago. My husband is retired military and San Antonio is considered Military City of the USA. We have decided to stay at Blazing Star for 2 months (Jan. and Feb) and be "winter Texans"! Good Sam's Discount. Very good monthly rates in the winter. Great RV PARK!!! We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Motorhome.
