Not the greatest park on our trip but we would stay there again if in town. Site was a little tight but doable for our Motorhome. Tow vehicle parked real close to Motorhome. It was perfect for us because we were there to sight see and not hang out at campground. Was definitely worth it and Location worked for us. - PJ Norris

This is a very small park and all the sites are back in, and close together. There are no extras here, but it served it's purpose while we were in Houston to work. The park is clean and quiet, however there is noise from the mobile home park next door. WiFi was excellent and never had a problem connecting, or with speed. This would not be a park to try to check in after hours, as there are seldom vacant spaces. - Lisa C

We stayed here for several months while working. If you are looking for a small, quiet place to park your RV, this is a good one, but it has nothing special. It has a small laundry room with a bathroom, no showers. The manager's live on site and are nice people. The owners are extremely nice. They don't want kids here and they really don't like dogs, but they tolerate them, if you pick up after them and keep them on a leash, which is what most places require. This is a very "tight" park and it was very hard to back into our spot. All spots are back in. Mostly working people stay here. It's very close to everything you need, grocery, Walgreen's, restaurants, shopping, golf courses. There is a very run down and old mobile home park next door, but we really didn't have any problems with them and there is a 12 ft. fence between the two properties. I felt very safe here. - RV Lover

This is a mobile home park that will rent spaces to R.V. campers. The park is fairly dated, but kept clean and the staff is excellent. Located beside Hobby Airport, its a short drive to downtown Houston and all its attractions. Will visit again. - txtransplants

Customer service was excellent, but this is basically just a big (overpriced) parking lot under a busy freeway exchange. The "pond" is a water retention basin, but has a nice paved walking trail around it and nice landscaping at all 4 corners. The paved double wide sites have only a narrow 3 foot space of grass between them, thus the large pick-up truck (parked side by side with his its trailer) in the next site was 2 feet away from our slide. The pool area looked very nice, but the dog park had grass that was way too long and no place for the dog owner to sit. No trees or landscaping at any sites. The roads are all paved, wide and easy to navigate. There was a water main break and later our septic was full, so we had to move to another site to dump - but we were grateful for the extreme attentiveness of the staff - very helpful - top notch! - Deb and Chris

This was my 4th visit to USA RV Resort at Kemah, and I have never been disappointed. I rate this park highly for (a) cleanliness of facilities, (b) overall maintenance of park, (c) location (Kemah TX), and (d) the great staff who work here. I come here to visit my daughter who lives close by, and this CG is my go to for a 2-4 week stay. Excellent in all regards. - olddeadhead

I back again this year for about three months. The park is better than last year. It now has more sites concrete with curbs. It is very updated with New Laundry, and start building a Bath House. Oak Hollow is quite with plenty of shade. I stay here every time I in the area. - NurseBetty
Apr 2018 - $50.00
First let me say I read the poor review for this park and I don't know where he was staying but it was either not here or he was lying. The river creek behind us never has gotten even close to full. Even when Houston was flooded with the hurricane, the creek here never filled up. I've been in this park for 3 years now. First in a Class A motor home and now in a travel trailer. It is quiet and wooded. Yes we have wildlife. That's what most campers like about it. Yes we are on the back side of a landfill but you can't see it or hear it OR smell it. There are trees separating us. I have enjoyed this park because it is quiet, quaint, and no one bothers me. It is owned by one man and he is ever working on expanding the facility. We have a laundry facility and he is working on public showers. That's all I need. - MariT

I am a traveling nurse; I stay at a campground for three to six month at a time. I read RV review to see where I will camp. I pick Oak hollow RV for the convince and settings. I have camped here since last November and love it. There is Birds & Wildlife in the CG that is one of the reason I like it here. I have seen many rains here in the past five months, but never water anyplace other than running down the roads or creek. I drive cross the creek twice a day have never seen it half full yet. There is a Landfill nearby, but there is a RV Repair and Storage between the Landfill and Oak hollow RV. I understand there are others that have been here for years, if it was not nice I don't think they would keep camping here. - NurseBetty

Very clean and gated park. The sites are large and all concrete. Picnic table at our site. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I believe about 98% of the residents are long term. There is a lake on the property. A business center (computer room) is available, free coffee and popcorn daily. The road into the park is very narrow--only one car can travel at a time. It does end at a dead end so it really does not pose a problem. Leaving the park is the problem--the traffic on Almeda Genoa Road is heavy making it difficult to access 288. AT&T cell phone access very good. There is no dog park. There is a dog area but it is not fenced. All in all a very nice immaculate park. - tbillman
Feb 2018 - $57.00
This is a good place to stay on the south side of Houston just off route 288. 15 minutes to MD Anderson Cancer Center and that part of Houston. The office staff was friendly and helpful. They have a small computer room that allows you to get on the internet and print any documents you need for free. They have a nice lake to try some catch and release fishing as well as a big dog walk area next door. Easy to maneuver around the park and easy to access your site unless the person directly across from you has parked in front of their camper instead of next to it. The road into the park is a one-and-a-half lane road which really only allows vehicles going in one direction at a time but it's a dead-end road so very little traffic. When leaving the park there is a large amount of traffic on Almeda Genoa Road making it difficult to cross over it and access 288 especially rush hour times morning and night. I would definitely stay here again. - Saddle Tramp 65

Park is very hard to pull into after getting to entrance. Good luck not getting rear ended as you slow to get in. Large amount of bridge overhead work going on and will be for several more years. Park has a raccoon problem that they have known about for years but has refused to address. They ask you about age and condition of your rig to approve entry but when you get in there they have A 50 year old bus as a permanent residence. Also have very old rigs in dirty condition. Better places to stay in Houston for the same money. - Boe2018

this place is amazing. very clean, friendly park out back, has a dog wash area. there is road noise but at night it was quiet. I would stay here again in a heart beat, great wifi did streaming without any problems. - countryshooter

Dogs barking all day & night. Drunks making noise all night. Local traffic is a nightmare with heavy road construction. Broken washing machines & clothes left all day in working machines. - hooodoooman_2017

Nice, clean, well kept up campground. Lake is nice but only access is if your site is adjacent to the lake. Not cheap, but hey, it's Houston. Fairly convenient to the north Houston area. Not a great neighborhood but gated access with security code made it feel safe. Close to our daughter and would stay again. - Vtwin996
Mar 2017 - $50.00
We dropped in for a weekend - had a wonderful experience. New managers were welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Part of the Quality RV family, the park has excellent amenities and super clean facilities. The pond is stocked. One evening we caught 25+ sunfish and 2 really nice bass using hotdogs for bait! Catch and release so we left them behind for others to enjoy. The neighborhood around the park is 'iffy' but we felt safe inside the gate. We will return!! - Texas Cajun Campers
Dec 2016 - $13.00
Big rig concrete level sites and was gated. Special was the first month stay was half price. Showers were great with large showers. Laundry was good and you could use recreation room while you waited. Recreation room had tv, free popcorn and coffee, computer room with printers, and pool table. Campground was well maintained and staff was helpful. Large dog park was good. - Fulltimersrv

Location. Location. Location. Rating is taking into consideration where and what it is, they're doing the best they can with what they've got. It's an urban campground. We stayed here because of the proximity to family living in the med center area. Road noise is constant day and night, so it fades into the background eventually. Fast free internet was a bonus. Site was level, pea gravel to park on and concrete pad patio was a nice feature. Sites are small. Clean and tidy park. Interior roads were fine, easy in and out. First park we stayed at with a barbed wire fence. U-Haul less than a mile down the road where we filled up propane. We would stay here again, due to the convenience to the med center area. - Roaming Together
Aug 2018 - $48.00
The location of this park is it's best attribute. Only a few minutes from NRG stadium or Toyota Center as well as downtown. The sites are all gravel but looked level as far as I could tell. Many long-term residents but for the most part they were all well kept. Transient visitors aren't given the best spots I don't think and was initially being placed into a spot with zero shade next to metal building in August. They were very nice and moved us to a spot with a least some shade which helped the AC keep up with the Texas heat. The campground is very cramped and the dog walk area is pretty small but they at least have one. Yes there is traffic noise but inside the RV we didn't hear a thing. Very busy street and when exiting you must turn right - stay to the right and then use the turn-around at the next intersection down which is easily negotiated even with a big rig. Be very careful when exiting I-610 westbound not to turn left at first intersection - trust me it's not fun going around in circles looking for the right street! - Jeff Smith

Very quiet. Very clean. Great management. In Houston for husband's medical treatments. They offered shuttle service to the hospital. It's close by and convenient to so many things. Need to come back for more medical appointments in the next year...will be staying here again. - Amarilis

Park is nice and quiet and the staff is friendly. It is showing it's age but everything worked. There are a lot of permanent residents some of which are a bit trashy. Wi-Fi worked great. Road to the park is narrow so watch yourself. Showers are large and work good. Pool is clean but small. Would stay again. - Brian & Corky

We did the monthly rate as we had planned on staying longer. Says Wi-Fi available but only close to the office/Laundry, it is not reachable to the RV sites. Our site was right on the lake. Very beautiful!! Wish we could have stayed longer. Country setting but close to town and shopping. - pittstl
