Sep 2017 - $30.00
The person who took my reservation over the phone was very helpful and friendly. Our assigned site (32) was very level, clean and large enough to pull through our 25' Airstream and tow vehicle. Our site had a small table on a small patio. Very nice. The hookups worked well, no problems at all. The only thing missing was a cable TV hookup. Easily accessible to downtown Stephenville. We plan to stay here again when we visit family in Stephenville again. - D2LLIO
May 2017 - $30.00
This was a nice park clean well maintained park. Easy in & out with level, gravel pull-through sites that were long enough not to have to un-hook our toad. Owner/mgr. was very nice as well. We were only here one nice, but a great place to stay. - MarieB
Aug 2016 - $30.00
We usually stay at a place about 30 miles north of here but because we were coming from farther south we decided to give this one a try. Called to make reservations and the owner said to just give her my CC number and I could come in and take any open spot without stopping at any office. This worked out great. I've seen Lost Creek from 281 and always commented that it looked like a really nice park. Well, it is a great place to stay. Clean, well groomed, nice place for the dogs, quiet, safe and convenient to town. All utilities were well placed and the site was relatively level. Grounds were nicely mowed and landscaping was well kept. I don't mind not having bath facilities as I always use my own. I can't imagine using outside facilities when self contained. I didn't set up the satellite but it would be a breeze as there are no trees blocking the signal. I've been around and can say that this park is really worthwhile. I will definitely drive the extra 30 miles and stay here when heading south. - Lynn Wagoner

May 2008 - $10.00
Decent city park for an overnight or couple days. Approximately, half the sites are pull thru. Restrooms are across the park. Honor system to pay. Sites are fairly level under pecan trees. Only reason for low rating is that the roads need re-paving, clear the pecan limbs and electric boxes/water faucets are past time for replacing. Everything works, just need updates. Has a dump station. It seems the local gas field workers have found this location to stay in their RV's. - indyana66

Oct 2018 - $27.00
Very nice campground. Well kept up, neat, clean, trimmed. I could tell it wasn't brand new but it didn't look too old either. Most structures were metal (paint maintained) or stone. Very friendly helpful owner and manager. Sites gravel, level, pull-thru and reasonably roomy. Lots of grass and good trees. Looked like most water hookups were about 3ft above ground. Wifi was great which was good because it is out in the country and while Verizon worked for calling there was no data service. - fulltimer121
May 2018 - $27.00
Really nice staff here. Office not used you must call the # posted. Older park on the highway but road noise not an issue. Really well maintained park. Grass areas between sites no tables. Great value. Will definitely return if in this area. - Nkr0076
May 2017 - $25.00
We made a quick overnight stop here because it was close to our route. Pleasant park with many shade trees. Didn't use any facilities. Sites were reasonably well spaced gravel surfaced. My only complaint was the water spigot. It was located in a below ground vault, which was full of leaves and other debris. So, I had to clean it out on my hands and knees. Not sure about the cleanliness. The courteous owners met us at the gate and escorted us to our site, which was nice. No Verizon cell service, although the free wi-fi was fine. - jwppagosa

Nov 2015 - $10.00
This campground is tucked in amongst some nice old oak trees, right in the large city park. There are 8 sites, some under the trees and some a bit more open. There is water and electricity. The charge is $15, but we got the senior discount. You need to call city hall to reserve and go there to check in. (Not sure how one would pay if it were a weekend) We were alone here on a Monday in November and they sent someone over to open the restrooms for us. The ladies at city hall were very friendly and accommodating. There was a storm looming, so they said they would send the police around to check on us - and sure enough, we saw the car drive through. It was quite quiet, despite being located a few blocks from the highway. There is a community pool and playground here, so I imagine that this would not be quite so peaceful on a hot weekend! We had 4 bars of ATT LTE. I would definitely stop here again on our way through Texas. - ALbums
Jun 2012 - $15.00
We stayed two nights for the Tour de Pepper bicycle ride. Nice shady campground, level sites. The price is right. However, electric service was unreliable as it fluctuated and there is no dump available. About 100 yards from the campsites is a building that is rented for parties and Saturday night there was a party with loud music until midnight. Also, quite a bit of road noise. There are no tables or fire rings or grills. - starwind
Nov 2006 - $12.00
This is a nice park to stop overnight or for a couple of days to visit the area. However, we stayed on a Saturday night and there was loud music in a nearby building until midnight. I don't know if this is every Saturday night or not. - Joe T

Jun 2016 - $20.00
Clean and quiet place to stay a night or two. Full hookups. Must pay at City Hall. They police the park, so make sure you get right over and pay. The road in is pretty beat up and has some washout areas. Hookups are on the wrong side and sites a bit slanted. No Verizon coverage. - Sunneee
Aug 2015 - $22.00
Very hard to find. East side of town North of road back off road 2 blocks through heavy trees and narrow dirt road. Not visible from road. Small ground level sign on opposite side of road to turn direction only visible when going east bound. Level gravel site pull through. Ratty looking full timer rigs present (crashed car, one 6th falling apart, etc. Have to pay at City Hall then go to park. Don't confuse this with 7 miles south of town. City park NOT on GPS. - Cliffy

Aug 2018 - $28.00
This is a nice, quiet city park. Mostly pull throughs. Must pay online or at city hall. No signs so follow maps to get there. - Jim451
Nov 2015 - $20.00
This is a city owned park with no office on the premises. We were the only RV there the night we stayed, which is kind of creepy seeing as there's no security, just us alone in a dimly lit park. Weirdly, whoever laid out the park didn't understand how RVs are set up. The power and sewer hookups are on the same side as the picnic table - both on the driver's side. We overcame this by using the table from the pad next to us on the passenger side, but that would not have worked if it had been occupied. The website says there is a restroom and shower, but not that we could ever find. Would probably pass on this one in the future. - ajmurray
Jun 2012 - $25.00
The park has just been updated. Most sites are under very large pecan trees. Most sites are pull through. It is just blocks from the historic square. The park is on about ten acres, with a great playground for the kids. The Bosque river runs along side the park. - Hico Frank

Park was clean, friendly owners and very helpful. Average to primitive. We would stay here again overnight. - jlawson34

They must have named this park E-Z Duzit for the road out in front. You must take it E-Z. We enjoyed this park very much the owners were very nice. There was a group of class A motorist that were traveling together that pulled in just after us. And the park was full. We were envious of the class A's they just push a button and they were level. We had a wonderful view of the countryside. The highway is down the hill and we heard NO noise after 10pm. We will stay here again. Enjoyed the Cafe the Koffee Kup in Hico. It is very good 12 different pies. Donuts that were like small tires on a shopping cart. Good food and nice people in all places that we stopped. Give it a try. - Mawmawof10
Nov 2008 - $18.00
Nightly rate reflects TACO discount, otherwise $20 a night. Quaint, "in the country" feeling Mom-and-Pop operation with a friendly owner. Clean, bare-bones, older park with level gravel/grass sites; W/E on side, sewer at rear. VERY, VERY ROUGH road getting to the park, at the park office and into the park -owner escorts to site. Laundry is one washer & one dryer, but they are clean and work! 2 bar cell reception, over the air TV (HDTV) good, wireless excellent. Some road noise, but quiet at night. Suggest you call the owner to let her know you are coming, as the office does not seem to keep "regular" hours. We were the only ones in the park so it was very open although if full, it may be crowded since some sites are close to one another. Owner-provided directions to get here may seem confusing but the park is relatively easy to find IF you keep your eyes open. Even with all the negatives listed, I prefer to stay in this type of park rather than a resort-style RV park with cable/Wi-Fi, sparkling showers and 300 rigs packed like sardines next to one another. I would not make this a destination, but if in the area, I would return. - Mike E

Sep 2018 - $20.00
Reserved online for 4 nites. When we arrived the front gate was open but the office was closed. Proceeded to the camp site we reserved and set every thing up. Went to the office a couple of times on the second day and office was still closed. Never saw anyone connected with this park except private contractors that picked up trash and cleaned the rest rooms. Had we not paid online ahead of time, our 4 nite stay probably would have been free due no one to pay at the park. Our site was level and spacious with a great view of the lake. No over the air TV signal was available so the wive wiped out our monthly allotment of AT&T data the first nite. Did not notice any mosquitoes but there were a lot of flies that kept getting into our camper whenever a door was opened. - cal25
Sep 2018 - $10.00
A treasure, only a couple of people there. Right on the lake. probably because it is really out in the sticks. Big spread out sites. - Jim451
Feb 2018 - $8.00
Very quiet; only three other campers in the park. Although fishing was lousy, was able to finish a few books and relax. No wifi due to no Verizon. Our campsite would have been crowded if the adjacent ones had been occupied, but other sites at the other end of the park are spread out. The site was level but parking was downhill, so had to disconnect the truck. The park is very large but most is closed off at this time of year. - PandL5thwheel

The park is very easy to get to from I 20. The roads are paved and easy to navigate. The sites are level and well maintained with a nice concrete patio. The laundry is small, two machines, but adequate for the size of the park. The restrooms and showers were clean and neat. There a nice looking swimming pool. We would stay here again. - 2WArvers
Apr 2018 - $24.00
Park is small and does what it should with good utilities for an overnight stop in the wind. Cute buildings and pool with good service from owners. Only 6 others in the park and other than I-20 noise quiet. Good locations for utilities and maintained gravel roads. Will stop again if the distances work out. - dalenoel
Jun 2017 - $24.00
This was an overnight stop for us. We tried to call ahead but the owner was having issues with his phone system which also meant no credit cards. Not his fault. He directed us to a site near the office which was a pull through. Very friendly owners. I felt bad about their phone problems. Many of the residents looked semi-permanent. We noticed the pool. It was small but a nice addition. The little western style buildings were attractive and well kept. Our problem came when it started to rain. Our site was pretty much flooded. Luckily, I had brought some boots along so I could get our dogs outside. We had to carry them from the tt to a spot about 25 feet away that wasn't in the standing water. The site next door was also flooded. So if it looks like rain when you are about to stop there, be sure to ask for a site that might stay a little dryer! The water did recede by morning. The highway noise did not bother us inside the trailer. Utilities were as expected. The price we paid reflects the Passport America discount. I would not pay full price to stay here. - arizona drifters
