This continues to be our go-to spot for traveling from North Texas to Colorado. Almost always near capacity with friendly folks spending one night along their travels. The electricity risers are easily accessible and protected by pipe cages. Sites are open parking with room to stay hooked up. It is all asphalt parking that is very flat and clean. Looks like an expansion is underway to the East (hopefully). Area to walk pet and kids can play at the adjacent playground. Never used the restrooms facilities but they are available (condition?). Fresh water available near grassy area gate. Train continues to blow horn at night, but after a few times, you will sleep just fine. Gas/Diesel in Dumas is reasonably priced compared to 50 miles in either direction. I recommend Texoma Park for a good spot for overnight parking. Beats the noise of the local Wal-Mart. A donation box is available to show your appreciation. - Dadio24

First night FREE city run park. Signs posted allowing "24 hour stay only". Drive past the playground (north) to the entrance to the campground. Power posts are protected by grey pipe cages. There is 50/30/20 amp on each. If a 50 amp rig is plugged in, a 30 amp will fit the opposite direction. Skip the first power pole coming in the park if you have 50 amp. The 50 amp plug needs replacing-insulation between poles missing. There are two dumpsters for trash. The dump station (water spigot-not sure if potable) is on the south side of the paved lot, access has you driving out of the park. Trees and grass surround the paved area, really appreciated on arrival (102F). Diesel is cheaper here than Amarillo, will be thanking Dumas with my gas fill! - GoldSeeker

Great location with easy on/off highway if you need a overnight place to stay in Dumas. Free camping with 50amp electric hookups. Garbage, water, and dump station on site. There is a box available for donations. A really nice grassy playground area if you have kids, and nice open grass areas to let the dogs run on. Yes, there are trains passing through and some road noise, but for the price (free!), it can't be beat. We'll stay again if we pass through in the future. Very big rig friendly. Decent Verizon and ok AT&T coverage. - Jerry and Betsy

We stayed at Yerby's RV park on our way to Grand Tetons Nat'l Park from Texas. As others have mentioned, Yerby's is inside the city limits of Dumas, next to city youth ballfields. Most people here are long term residents, with a few spots set aside for overnighters. Many of the long term residents have decorated their sites, giving it more of a mobile home park feel (there is one across the street). But the park is clean, the sites padded and level, the staff friendly on the phone and in person, wifi is excellent, AT&T signal good, and we're within a short distance of a Walmart for needed supplies. There is a laundry but we didn't use it. No amenities at the site itself besides full hook-ups. I would stay here again if passing through Dumas. - BobJoh798

This is a great overnight stop and I will stay again when I’m in the area. Very easy to find and great customer service. The concrete pads were level and the grass between sites was nicely cut and trimmed. Mostly long-term campers. RV park was well maintained and not trashy or noisy. Restaurants, fuel and shopping are within a five-minute drive. - jdtex

Also a mobile home park with lots of RV spots; our site was concrete and level. The electric voltage was on the low side but the water quality was good. They do not have showers or bathhouse, but do have a laundry room. They offer WiFi, but no cable. We were able to get enough over the air stations, all in the good area. No picnic table, but there was a nice grassy area next to us. Next door to soccer fields, high school across the street, and McDade Park is right down the street. Park has playground, water park, and walking trail. Huge field behind high school to also walk and let the dogs loose. - Kerch Family

Stayed here for a week for work, will never stay here again. Restrooms and showers disgusting; work campers are lazy and don't do anything. Man in office said he never goes in the back. They really push the owners restaurant, but I could not eat there after seeing how he keeps his park. Most of the lights on the pedestals at the site don't work. Lots of abandoned RVs. People come in off the streets to shower; they have no security of any kind whatsoever to protect their investment. Someone that said he was maintenance; approached us in the dark in reference to the bathrooms. I told him they were disgusting. Whoever was in charge of the cleaning was lazy. Pretty sure it won't change. - cuz
Nov 2017 - $35.00
Would have rated this place a Zero but that was not a choice. Trash everywhere, dogs running loose chasing my dogs on a leash, no trees, no tables, no appeal at all. If it were $4 per night it would be overpriced. Would have been better off in a WalMart parking lot. Don't waste your time or money in this dump. - Mountain Travels

This is the only park available to where we needed to be. People friendly enough but the park has big ruts and holes in the road ways, people walk their dogs a never pick up poop. Checked out shower and rest room - does not look as though they have been cleaned. Internet is down . I understand people get busy , but there is no excuse for not cleaning up if you expect the public to patronize your business. Only bright spot is it is close to town for groceries and gas. - Cactusflower
