Great spacing between sites but no views of the lake at all even though we booked a site next to the lake. Swimming beach was closed, fishing dock was closed. We booked a 2 week stay but with nothing to look at and very far from town, we left after 4 days. Maintenance was just ok. A long drive into the campground. Would not return. - Budmobile

What a neat park! We camped during the week, and seemingly had the place to ourselves. We have a 26 ft travel trailer, back-in slot that had plenty of room for the tow vehicle. Wide-open park with strategically placed trees, our slot had perfect evening shade. Each site has a nice shade structure over the concrete pad and sturdy picnic table. Lots of Cave Sparrows keeping busy. Beautiful little lake that is perfect for the newbie kayakers that we are. AT&T cell coverage was spotty at times- fine by me! Bath houses are clean, but are older and could do with an upgrade. A friendly and diligent staff, we saw their little yellow scooter all over the park! We will definitely come back. - Bill2113

We stayed one night in the park. It was clean and well kept. We had site 15 and backed our trailer in with a great view of the lake. Sites are spaced out nicely. Each site had a picnic table and grill. Picnic table was under a spacious shelter at each Gates close at 10 PM each night. No reentry after that time. - sp123

Thanks to the local Chamber of Commerce, we ended up here as all 'regular' rv parks in the area were full and we're glad we did. The park only had 3 other campers, very quiet, large lots. There is a playground and boat launch but little else. We've enjoyed other COE camping areas - we feel they're underrated. - cmclark
Jul 2014 - $16.00
We really enjoyed the quietness of the campground. The one major problem is that it is so remote it is practically impossible to make the 10 pm curfew. There needs to be a way for people to get into the campground after the gatekeeper leaves for the night. Rate is very reasonable. - beachvic
Mar 2012 - $18.00
Great place to be during spring, with beautiful wildflowers, wide spaces between sites, friendly gatekeepers. During the week, very quiet. Shopping just a few miles down the road. Lake with fishing in walking distance. Easter week end was very busy though. Would recommend though. - lonestarsteve

Pulled in late and knew it was a mistake. Couldn't get a reply at any other CG in area. Finally found office in very back. Nothing level in this park. So many people live here full time, lots of noise. Some of the neighbors were really far out. Seems like a party place. We stayed but won't again ever. I don't like dogging someone like this. I can say the front office lady seems like a good person. If I had to stop here again I would try staying at local Walmart. - JustDon

No level spots, had to try a couple spots to find an electrical outlet that worked. No on-site manager. Money taken and key given by front desk of the Comfort Inn next door, No gravel, only dirt/grass and MUD. Dogs barking all night, RVs on site are mostly long term with lots of junk around sites. On-site roads are not paved nor gravel, just mud. Their site says cable and wifi and there were none. - wiredgeorge

Easy to get here. Nice people. I didn't use restrooms or asked about cable. No trees so satellite would work. I would stay here again. - JustDon
Mar 2014 - $30.00
On a hill. The web-site not updated. Web indicated $24 a night, but current charge $30. Park rules are not correct. Do not put trash bag out for morning pickup. - RiverCabin
Feb 2013 - $25.00
We spent 6 nights here while exploring the countryside. The owner and manager were great. Very helpful and friendly. They're working daily to improve the park for their guests. Windy most of the time but great views from the sites. Shopping is nearby with terrific restaurants. Within easy driving distance of downtown Austin, but most of what we needed was much closer. State highway out front but not noisy. Quiet at night. Peaceful place. We would stay here again. - We2AreUs

In 43' motorhome on 30 amps. They do have 4 sites with sewer hookups. Quiet and cool outside. Hosts we're helpful getting me to my waterfront site. Lots of space between RVs and for my MH. - Navychop

Cable is terrible. Company will blame it on your camper. Whether it's new or used. Office is hardly open. Owner complains of the littlest things UNLESS you live here. The permanents have trash everywhere. Stray cats scratch vehicles. Gravel roads are in desperate need of repair. Floods easily. Tight squeeze. Laundry room is a joke. Stayed a month and there was 2 separate shootings! Not safe. - PoaWifey
May 2017 - $25.00
We were referred here from another park that was temporarily closed. The check-in lady was very nice . The park, not so much. Gravel roads, , narrow grass sites and just a few sites available for passing through R.V's. There was a standard round triple AAA sign out front but I think it's time for them to revisit this park. - 10-wheels
May 2014 - $20.00
Had planned on staying here overnight but when I pulled in and drove through the CG I found it to be dirty with a lot of not very neat permanent rigs and dogs running loose or tied up outside with no one in sight. Decided to keep driving. - retiredhappy

Out in the country. A nice clean park. Very friendly owners. Had a problem with electric and they called a electrician. He was there in 30 minutes, problem fixed. We stayed one night. Park is out in a farm area; very peaceful, quiet. We'd stay here again. - JustDon

Very remote park away from highway US 77, therefore no traffic noise. Quiet park. We would stay again. - ks2spi
Oct 2014 - $20.00
I was tired of driving the highways in TX and decided to take the back roads from Dallas to San Antonio. I was sick of Walmart so while driving by I passed this little gem. Darrel was very cool and had space for me to Stay. This is probably the quietest RV park I have ever stayed at. The locals were very nice. I ended up staying 2 nights before I had to move on. If you plan to stay here bring you telescope, this is a very dark sky site. - Steven R
Oct 2005 - $21.00
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had fled Rita and were thankful just to find someplace to stay. We could not have chosen a better place! The park had not been open long and they were still making improvements but the roads were great and the sites were level. They have a small pet area, just asking that you pick up after your pet (which anyone should do!). We will definitely head back to this park the next time we want REAL peace and quiet. - NancyJ49
