Sep 2018 - $33.00
Decent campground. Stayed on a pull through site(grass). Nice pool. Kiddy play ground, yurts, cabins. Rules state on off leash dog but some full timers had dogs outside off leash. Pull through sites (6) at front were for temps folks remainder of sites are monthly (40) Store was decent but creepy with no lights. Laundry room looked clean. Would stay again but just over night. - Sharpe7tex
Mar 2017 - $15.00
The nightly rate is based on a monthly rate of 500, of which 100 went towards electric. The positive first: we had a great site. It was a large corner lot with a cover and deck. The pool was kept clean, just wished for longer open hours. It closed at 7. The negative: they do not have any rules on age of trailers, etc. I'm no snob, and older trailers can be just as nice as newer ones, but the result here is a bunch of nasty looking sites with all manner of crap around them. Our main problem was the rule that if you stay monthly, you are responsible for the lawn in your site. That was a new one on us and we have traveled extensively as full timers. We would have never gone there if we had known before. Also if you have kids, check the sex offender registry before you stay here. - Patmo13

New owner has made this a clean, well maintained park. The owner lives here as well as at least 3 employees. They keep the place clean and manicured. Couldn't ask for a nicer place to park! The roads are gravel, the rv sites are asphalt. There is plenty of grass to walk your dog. The park is heavily tree'd but not a bother to your rv. The main office building is clean, there are 2 washers and dryer. Restrooms and shower. - Bonnie-Nubbin
Oct 2015 - $30.00
Very friendly and helpful. They set up the trailer for me at no cost. Have used them before and always a great experience. Spacious
sites with some shade. Fire Ring - Picnic Table - Patio - lotsawebsites

On our way to Louisiana, we stopped for a couple of days to do some fishing. You can see the lake from the park but it is about 2 miles to get to it. Great location! Clean facilities, great WiFi, full hookups and nice but not nosy management. I recommend it highly! - lotsawebsites

Good place to stop for the night. Right next to Highway 175 and next door to Harvey's Exxon Gas station. We camped in a 44 foot motorhome and had no trouble getting into our spot. Definitely not a destination spot! - rak

Mostly long term campers. I had family matters in the area and it was a nice clean spot for a two day stopover. Not a vacation destination but if you need to be in the area it is a nice quite place to be an the price is good. I never could get the park Wi-Fi to work, signal too weak. - Mark Ford
Dec 2017 - $14.00
This is a clean safe and quiet little park near shopping and Cedarcreek Lake. It's a bargain but sadly a notice is posted in the office window that the park is closing Jan 1, 2017. - Beech35p
Aug 2017 - $26.00
Called before we came. She assigned us a site number & we registered when we arrived. $26 for full hooks on concrete, very nice! Park is very clean and tidy! - Army Guy

Sep 2018 - $20.00
It is a nice little park and has easy trails. We took our elderly collie and Samoyed with us and walked the dam walk. They enjoyed that. We then took our other collie and Samoyed on the other trails. It is quiet, there is privacy and we will be visiting again. We did go to Athens for a couple items. It was not a long trip. If you need to shop for any items, Athens is not that far away. - Cirrus
Jul 2018 - $20.00
There is plenty of shade in this state park. The pads are raised asphalt. The majority of the pads in the park are level and shaded. There is plenty of dense vegetation between the sites so you don't notice a neighbor. Many OTA channels from Dallas, but could not pick up ABC. Verizon signal good. The park is a bit remote, so plan to arrive in daylight. The park staff was very pleasant and welcoming. - SunStar203
Oct 2017 - $25.00
We enjoyed a 3 night stay at this park that is located about an hour from Dallas. The sites are very private with plenty of space between you and other campers. There is a nice fishing lake that seemed to be pretty popular. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring as well as a level pad to pitch a tent as well. The pad for the trailers are paved and pretty level, although we noticed several that tended to slope significantly from front to back. We stayed at site 31 and had a slight slope. Large two hole dump site with water connections is in the park. While the park is well maintained, we found the showers to be a little worn down but functional and relatively clean as compared to typical state park shower facilities. There are park hosts that patrol the grounds along with the park rangers so watch out for public drinking or noise as they tend to crack down on the partying, which is a good thing in my opinion. - Widedomain

Nov 2018 - $30.00
We had a pull-through so parking our 38' toy hauler was super easy. The staff was very helpful and brought free wood to our site each day. Our children & grandkids stayed in cabins close to our site which enhanced the trip even more. - SherryC
Mar 2017 - $15.00
We made reservations for 14 nights on-line by looking at photos on their web site. After we got there we found that most all the sites are dirt with very little grass anywhere AND the sites are VERY close together. The restrooms/showers, while clean, looked as if they were built in a hurry without thought of craftsmanship or looks. The staff we met were all VERY nice, helpful and accommodating and the onsite laundromat was well kept. Though the provided fishing pier was nice there was NO parking other than at your own campsite, which in our case, was some 75 yards away. You could take your vehicle down to unload your fishing equipment but then you had to take it back to your site and walk back to the pier. Also, the site they gave us and had one of their employees lead us to was at such a position that we could not pull out of it when we got ready to leave, we had to go across the road through another site that was vacant to have enough room to turn. - powwowron

Nightly rate is low because we lived in a park model home on a monthly basis. It was a beautiful park before new owners took over in July of last year contrary to a previous reviewer who stated the new owners were cleaning it up. You can't always believe what you are told. It has steadily gone from a beautiful park to a neglected one, with sporadic mowing, septic smell, open holes where water leaks were repaired, rude people. - MaryAnnG
Sep 2018 - $40.00
Great park. Plenty of room and super friendly staff. We had an issue with our breaker tripping and they promptly replaced it and had us fixed in no time. - sixtires58
Apr 2018 - $40.00
Very nice campground. New owners really cleaning it up well. Two very nice clean ponds with well manicured banks. Our spot was a back in right near the largest pond. Freshly graveled and leveled spot, large concrete patio for picnic table, etc.. Nice property, extremely friendly and helpful staff. - Phaeton_Driver

Beautiful sunsets. Quiet. Relaxing. Excellent boat ramp. Store available for last minute items, sells live bait. Can fish on site. Friendly service. Enjoyed our stay. - tiger2pooh1
Sep 2015 - $85.00
The good... The boat ramp is easily accessible. The restaurant on site is decent for burgers and hot breakfast.
The bad...The spots are very small. No space between them. The grounds have a large number of cats roaming free so everything outside smells like a kitty litter box....basically because it is. I cleaned up cat mess every day to keep the smell down. There are quite a few long term residents and they let their dogs do their business wherever they feel like. Nasty and I had to keep my dogs in the trailer the whole weekend because of the cats everywhere.
Giant cockroaches got into everything. Need I say more? - Akrbrsn
Apr 2014 - $35.00
The new owners took over this park last April. They have improved the boat ramp to handle three boats at the same time. The lake is 7.5 feet low, but we saw a 25' party barge launch with no problems. We stayed in site #1, which is waterfront and the sunsets were awesome. They have fishing, paddle boats to rent, shaded sites, live bait, and a small general store. The bath houses were small, but clean. They plan to add additional restrooms, cabins, laundry, and grill, later. Corsicana is about twenty minutes away, so plan on bringing your groceries with you. They do allow campfires and grills. This is a gem in the making. - timetokill

Nov 2018 - $40.00
This place is wonderfully clean, quiet, safe, gated, just everything... their wifi states it is free and fast, but when you get there they tell you "no streaming" so what's the point? But the rest of the place outweighs that drawback. There are nice shaded spots, level concrete, the laundry room is very nice, the clubhouse is nice... frankly, there is almost nothing wrong with this place. Length of hoses is average, we needed no leveling blocks, water pressure is good. - RainAtSea
Oct 2018 - $40.00
Easy pull thru and easy on and off from I-20. Excellent cable and WiFi. - Beggco
Apr 2018 - $41.00
We really like this park. We stay here a couple of times a year when visiting friends in the area and would highly recommend it. They are constantly making improvements and renovations and now have two separate areas for permanent or semi-permanent residents. The transient sites are long, level gravel with concrete patios for the picnic tables. The areas between the sites are nicely landscaped with grass and shrubs. The staff is friendly and helpful and gives visitors chocolate chip cookies on check-in (my husband's favorite part). The dog park is large and well kept. The utilities are convenient and everything worked well. WiFi was fast and easy to access and there were 34 channels on the cable TV. The gate is closed at 9:00 pm but you can be given a code to open it if returning late. - SandyA
