Feb 2016 - $25.00
Lots small and difficult to get into. Management when they took our money assured us they had big lots to accommodate our new fifth wheel. The park was poor quality as tree branches hung down which also made it more difficult to park. We had a terrible time leaving as the roads were not made for big campers, had to pull forward and back up several times to turn a corner. The roads were terrible, pot holes even on main road. The park was very basic. The sites was small, no room for large campers. No facilities. No pet area. Manager was very unfriendly and was not helpful at all. My husband had to jerry rig electric so we could get hooked up. - Sheri Jean Long
Jan 2016 - $28.00
Our stay at this RV Park was initially intended to be for one night, but we extended for a second to take advantage of the many nearby goods and services. This is a good place to stay overnight, but lacks amenities for family activity. Our assigned pull-through site barely accommodated our 25 foot trailer and pull vehicle. Narrowness of the site discouraged us from setting up lawn chairs by our front door on the nice concrete pad. Reception and check-in was friendly and convenient, but we were offered no information about the park or community that would be helpful to newcomers. - Streamer85
Mar 2014 - $28.00
We just stopped for the night & would do so again. The gentleman in the office was friendly, had a map ready, answered my questions, and guided us to our spot. We pulled thru and were on a concrete slab. FHUs, cable & WiFi. We used our antenna which worked well for the broadcast TV & our own internet hotspot (three 4G bars off Verizon without the booster). The park was clean & level and it is only a 20 minute walk to the Walmart & the surrounding stores. Great showers! Spacious, 4 hooks, a chair & the shower head was well over my head. I'd stop there again. - becida

Mar 2018 - $19.00
I like t his park. We have stayed here twice and will do so each time we pass through. We have a large 5th wheel and pull it with a Freightliner Cascadia so we really need a long site whether it is a back-in or pull-through. Their sites are plenty large enough and I didn't have to disconnect my truck so I guess my site was about 80 feet long. It was easy to get into and out of with my big rig. The management have always been accommodating and welcoming. They offer good, free, WiFi and cable TV. This is not a 'destination' park but it is a great 'overnighter'. I didn't give them a '10' because I am just too hard to please so they get a '9'. - KD7UCH
Dec 2017 - $19.00
I really wanted to like this park but unfortunately I did not and would not return. The price was certainly good using Passport America Discount ($18.68) which I had to prepay at the time of my reservation. It was really odd when you enter the park there is no signage of where the office is located, when you are pulling a big rig this is especially troubling - not wanting to have to back up any of the rows. So I called the office number I had with me and the owner said she would walk over to the office and meet me and told me the location. She was very friendly. They did have a nice selection of free DVD's available with a really small store. Our site was gravel with sparse grass, mostly red mud. My husband hates sites that are muddy so this was a red flag immediately for him. The sites are average on space. There was lots of road noise and a large amount of long term looking rigs, but most looked very neat. We would not stay at this park again. - DallasRVers
Mar 2017 - $33.00
Well kept campground, great for an overnight. Roomy well gravelled level site with easy access to services. No amenities like pool etc.. Staff & owner very friendly & accommodating. - Our-Wandering-Casa

Park has changed hands, formerly known as Lazy Longhorn. New owners have doubled price and no longer accept Escapees discount. Hookups were well placed for my unit. Cable TV was a bit strange, but got several channels. Nice clean park, but not worth the price. I have stayed here several times, but no longer. - Sunchaser v
May 2018 - $22.00
An OK park with potential with new owner and enlargement plans. Currently they have 3 rows of sites, 2 back ins and the other pull thru down the middle. Concrete pads are wide enough for disconnecting rigs and parking. Grass between sites, some also have trees. We planned to use Passport but were advised they had just dropped it, however, the week stay rate was just as good. We were there on the edge of off/high season. Chose location because of price. Our site was a back-in with a tall fence behind, picnic table (full of ants in the legs) and a tree which provided afternoon shade. Most of the sites were taken by longterm folk who were very friendly and quiet. Manager, while pleasant, could use more training, in service as well as local information. When we arrived we asked for recommendations on sightseeing and dining - he had no idea and offered no literature. During our stay we commented on a few issues we encountered (laundry left in machine for hours, dogs running loose) but felt nothing was done to correct them. One afternoon manager trimmed a long hedge row, leaving all the clippings which were still there when we left 2 days later... - Activity Director - retired
Dec 2017 - $23.00
Nice park on the quiet side of Victoria. Cheaper than the nearby campground, which did not look as nice. Friendly folks, good utilities, including wi-fi. Park has apparently changed ownership. Some work underway either due to new owners or hurricane that came through this September, but not any kind of a problem to residents.
Site surface is a concrete pad and features a picnic table and patio. - Grumpier99

First trip here. We stayed in #12, 30/50 amp site with full shade. The road around the loop has some low trees. Our RV is 13'6 so be careful. The site are not all level but the grounds are very nice and well kept. No trash around. - Bahama
Oct 2015 - $25.00
We called ahead of time to verify the availability of an overnight site. We left a message and our number, but never received a return call. The interior roads continue to deteriorate. The WiFi had been out for a while and tech help had been called and the WiFi remained unavailable we were there. - BobatRetama
Apr 2015 - $40.00
This park is gorgeous, big nice spots with trees! The lake is beautiful - we stayed over Easter weekend and it was CRAZY CROWDED - (we won't do that again). We also had some horrible camping neighbors that stayed up all night getting super drunk and loud. The staff was very helpful when we talk to them about it the next day and they moved us to a GORGEOUS spot on the lake. The gorgeous spots on the lake are all 30 amp - but it was cool enough to make it work. I would stay here again for sure. - TommiRulz

Nov 2016 - $12.00
Full hook-up pull-thru sites with generous space between sites. There is a paved walking/biking path on the other side of the canal/creek that can be accessed from the city street at each end. Peaceful and quiet, very little traffic noise for a city this size. We do occasionally hear a train a few blocks away. You are allowed 30 days in any 6 month period. We will stay again. - User2260
Feb 2016 - $12.00
Stayed for 30 days
PROS:
Large sites with lots of room
Good OTA tv
Good Verizon signal
Very quite and wildlife come through the park
All hook ups in great condition
Close to town but not in the middle of it
CONS:
No wifi, but for $12 a night it is a GREAT place to stay.
You can only stay for 30 days. We came to avoid the cold and joined the local gym to get back into shape. - rynosback
Dec 2015 - $12.00
Stayed twice in December 2015. Very nice full hookup RV park. Long pull throughs spread far apart next to a creek. On the edge of the city park and golf course. Many deer roam the park. We will stay there every time we are in Victoria. - Jweb98

Dec 2018 - $39.00
We were looking for a new place to spend the night around Victoria, since our previous campground had increased their price by about $20. KOA’s are consistently pretty good, and this one was a little cheaper, so we decided to try it. We were coming through on a Sunday and called to reserve a site. The voicemail said the office closed at 3:00 (it was 1:00 at the time), leave a voicemail. I did...several times. No one ever answered or returned my call. Finally I went online and made a reservation, since I didn’t know if any sites were available.
When we got to the KOA, there was no one in the office and no packet on the board for us, so we just picked a spot. There was a number to call on the board, and no one answered that. We never saw nor heard from any KOA personnel. I can’t recall ever checking in to a KOA in the USA without being led to the site.
There were lots of potholes in the road and small ponds in front of every pull through. The utilities were surrounded by water, in part because the faucet was leaking. It had rained the previous day, but there’s no maintenance being done to correct the low spots. The rv pad itself was fairly level. The cable did not work and the WiFi was weak. The water pressure and power were good. We did not need any of the facilities, so we can’t comment on those. We did not feel that travelers are welcome here (most of the residents were workers) and won’t be staying here again. - pbougeus
Mar 2018 - $38.00
One of the cleanest KOA parks I have ever stayed in. Bathrooms/showers were immaculate. Another nice feature was the on-site café. They serve great pizza, sandwiches, and burgers. - Franko M
Mar 2018 - $35.00
This park had become on our favorites to visit. There are back in's and pull thru's. All this sites are gravel, long and have nice space between. The staff is very friendly. The services are good and convenient. The WiFi is good. the interior roads are rock but easy to get around with big rigs. There is a small restaurant run by the park that has Pizza and other foods on certain days. Very good food. - JDR

Apr 2018 - $35.00
Our front door opened across from neighbors sewer hookup otherwise park friendly, spotless, nice size sites, long enough for 38' plus car. Nice rec room. Concrete driveway, grass, slight trees, cable but WiFi slow. Train whistles all night. Nice park. Very windy in April 2018. Kept all awnings in. Many full time towables in park. Winter Texans just left so there were enough spaces for our rally group of FMCA coaches. Staff 100% nice. - Oooooooo
Jan 2018 - $15.00
We stayed at Dad's during the months of January and February. The site we had chosen was not the best for us, due to it's location for a very shy dog. The manager was so accommodating, and gave us the available sites from which to choose another. We loved the proximity of Dad's to all of Victoria's shopping, restaurants, etc. Many of the residents worked during the day, and were gone on the weekends, making the park a quiet place to be. Yes, there is a train nearby which can be heard day & night, but after awhile is barely noticed. The management also has monthly potlucks, and other activities, if you are interested. We will be returning to Victoria next winter as well, primarily due to the manager (who according to the rules must remain nameless). From the initial reservation to accommodating our need to change spaces, she went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. She truly cares about her park, and its residents. As full-time RVers for several years, we have found that this quality in a manager is often lacking. - flashysdad
Dec 2017 - $40.00
Great place to stay. We were on site 77 for 4 months and had a very enjoyable time. The park manager was terrific. She and the entire staff all did their best to see your visit was great. Been a snowbird for 16 years and would recommend this park to anyone looking for a great winter getaway. Our stay was on a monthly basis at a cost of $440.00 monthly plus electric. Didn't ask about the overnight rate. Just had to fill in the blanks and guessed a rate. - Jim - Ida B

Nov 2018 - $35.00
Things started off bad with this park when I stepped out onto a fire ant hill. We got our spray out and took care of them. Then we plugged in and got set up. The electric started dropping out so we contacted the office. We were moved to another site. Things were ok with that site. There is quite a bit of road noise and a nearby train runs a couple of times during the night. The staff were very friendly, but this was a very plain park in need of updating. Sites are pretty close together and alternating directions so you share the utility pedestal with your neighbor. Probably won't return to this park. - jacknpeg
Nov 2017 - $40.00
Came into park after dark. Owner/manager showed us to our site and helped get is set up. Nice park roads and sites not to close. We were gone in the morning, looked like a nice park. - RV FullTimers
