Sites were very close together. Had we had a bigger driver's side slide, we would have blocked our neighbor from exiting his rig. After we had already checked in, we spotted a city campground a half block down that would have been more spacious. - slowlane
Feb 2017 - $13.00
We stayed here a month from Feb 23 to March 22. We have a 40 foot fifth wheel and had to be selective about our site. Wi-fi was good. Laundry room was very clean. Manager was very nice and helpful. We would stay here again. - Mathwhz13
May 2014 - $25.00
We stayed here in our 40' 4 slide motorhome with tow vehicle. Full hookups with 50 amp, satellite signal and Verizon phone. Off the main road enough that there isn't much noise. I would have rated this park a 5 if the weeds had been mowed. The motel portion is very nice. The park needs some work but for the price - a good stop. - Jerryws98516
Jul 2019 - $20.00
We fell in love with this little state park. We had a great view of the little lake, almost all of the 12 or 14 sites do have a lake view, but I would recommend site #6 or #8 for the best views. There were lots of day visitors who were swimming and using the large picnic pavilion. They do rent boats and canoes. We had plenty of nice shade trees. We did not use the showers but the restrooms were very clean. I would love to visit this little park again, maybe in the fall next time. - True Texas
Dec 2018 - $28.00
Lovely park like setting with a small lake. Wifi works outside of office hours but not let you upload or download anything. There are two sites with sewer. Lots of birds! - Judy Birchland
Apr 2018 - $20.00
This is a great little park. There are only 14 RV campsites. There are lots of hiking trails and trees. - kanela
Jun 2017 - $25.00
This park is good for an overnight stay. It has mostly permanent RVs. The grounds are all mowed and manicured. The manager lives on site and met us in the road to guide us to the site. Very long level pull-thrus. They take only cash or check. - The Griffins
Mar 2016 - $25.00
Located on the left 6 miles south of Bonham on Texas Hwy 121. Take Exit 671 off of US Hwy 82.
The best thing about this park is the owner. Call her to make sure there is room.
All electrical are 50 amp only. If you don't have an adapter the owner will provide one. Grass-gravel site with some shade.
Nothing fancy, but functional. - CharlieB
Sep 2006 - $3.00
Small family owned park. $100+elec for month. Wide gravel sites and access road. Near VA Hospital and 70 mi to Dallas. No bath house, no pool, no play ground. Fair price in coin laundry. Stayed for some health stuff at VA. Very good CG for FT RVers. BIG fire works stand open in June. - Fred Griffin
Oct 2019 - $20.00
Friendliest host & owner. There is a golf coarse next door and a great pond with ducks & geese that wonder the grounds. (all Black Duck) never seen on before. Newer park still being worked on while I was there. Store & restaurant being built. Good Dish reception & WiFi that worked. We enjoyed the park and owner so well we went back in week or two later. - Edd505
Aug 2019 - $20.00
Typical PPA campground. Long enough spaces for MH and toad. Friendly receptionest. Would stay here again. Did not use any facilities. - fletch460
May 2019 - $20.00
Great park for an overnight stay at PPA price! The manager put us in an east-west pull through site as storms were rumbling through. Very stable when situated that way. Never park, mostly long term, but a few sites for those passing through. Definitely one we will use again when passing through the area! - PugetSound
Jun 2019 - $45.00
The park appears fairly new. Is adding a repair facility. Has a laundry which we did not use. One men's and women's restroom in the office which is only available when office is open. Utilities are all located at rear of trailer and needed extension to reach. - Msmoonsatx
Feb 2019 - $30.00
Campground has improved greatly with new management! Customer service is top notch! The restroom/shower facility is clean, as is the laundry mat with good working machines. They are pet friendly with a dog run as well! It's quiet with a country atmosphere. There are many trees and even a few chickens roam the area! - kmackmomma72
Jun 2017 - $20.00
Shower/Restroom combination building has a leaking sewer line that has left a sewage lake behind the building. Our TT and Truck Camper sunk down into the pad dirt up to the rims. When it rains there is a huge amount of standing water. Lawns are not kept mowed. Several large open trenches with no warning markers. Laundry room dirty and only a portion of the equipment works. The restroom was filthy and the shower was nasty. No hot water. Office staff OK but the owner needs to work on people skills. We were there for several months and finally had enough and left. We will never stay there again. - rkleppin
May 2017 - $25.00
We were just looking for a one night stopover with a pull thru site so we wouldn't have to unhook the tow. This worked. Looked like a lot of permanent residents. They had an area designated for overnighters. Full hookups including cable but we couldn't get the cable to work. Nothing else here. Office guy was very nice. Ok place for a stopover as long as you don't mind the chickens roaming around. Our dog wanted to herd them. - Patricia57
Oct 2018 - $35.00
This is a relatively new park and is very much a work in progress. Right now, there are only back-in sites but the road and the sites are plenty wide to get backed in with no problem. Road and sites are both gravel and, due to the excessive rain the past couple of months, are rutted. The owner, who has to be one of the nicest people we've ever met, assures me that restrooms, showers, and wifi are in the works. The park is actually located in Telephone, TX but the nearest town is Bonham. It's about 8 miles off a main road (Route 78) and was amazingly quiet. The only sounds were crickets. The utilities all worked well and the water was the softest we've ever found in a campground anywhere. I would love to come back in a year or so and see what progress has been made. - SandyA
Oct 2019 - $20.00
This park is one that I really enjoy. Both times we have been, we have had large shaded campsites. It's one where I can just put the hammock in the trees and do nothing but relax. We were able to access the lake on floats and at night there was a large open area that we could walk for stargazing. The sites are large and all concrete so we didn't need much to get level. Lots of wildlife at night roaming around making noises. Definitely on my list of repeats since it's only 1.5 hour drive from home. - ChristyWhalin
Nov 2017 - $18.00
This park is scenic and quiet and there is a lot of space between most camp sites. Parking pads are in great shape and very shady. A few sites have a view of the lake through the trees. Utilities are good and Verizon cell phone coverage is available as well as wifi at the office. There is a small store at the office with a few souvenirs. Amenities include a sand volleyball court, hiking trails, fishing pier, boat ramp, and kayak and SUP rentals. We really enjoyed the solitude and quiet, as well as the beautiful fall colors. - BrentB
May 2017 - $18.00
We stayed overnight for Mother's Day weekend. We were able to make reservations the day of-- as others have said, this park is not usually very crowded. There were many sites to choose from even being a holiday weekend. The park was clean and amenities include a couple of hiking trails and a small sandy beach swimming area. Our campsite was not technically waterfront, though you could see the water through the trees. It was a short walk through the woods to reach the water. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. Staff were very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again! - Kristencm
