Apr 2019 - $14.00
The pluses are these points - Nice friendly owner-operators with hookups that all work well with no problems and OTA TV reception good. Laundry is clean with washer/dryers that accept coin and credit cards. Promptly told when mail or packages arrive and owners live on property. Minuses are these - Interior roads except in the new sites by the pavilion are absolutely terrible. Washboard type with enormous pot holes that can not be avoided, and the concrete slabs in the pull through area are breaking up and need attention. Also, and I have mentioned this before, is that permanent/seasonal folks drive too fast in this park. There are children here and folks with pets but people just don't care. - xarmoreddriver
Apr 2017 - $36.00
This is a really nice RV park just east of Austin on Hwy 71. There is highway noise during the day (if your site is up front) but it's not bad. Nice bathrooms and showers, each separate and lockable. Owners were very responsive when there were some noisy people during quiet hours, and the owners even gave us a written apology! Top notch! Sites angled so afternoon sun is on the port side of the RV, so nice shade where you want it. Grading down a bit due to very weak, very very slow WiFi. Nice laundry facility. No picnic table or firepit, but there is a central pavilion with a gas grill that we can use, with several chairs and tables. Verizon signal varies from 1 to 3 bars. Sewage connections are about 10-12 inches above ground. Our site (57) has a bit of shade, but many sites do not. We would definitely stay here again. - RobtL
Dec 2016 - $13.00
$13.00 is actually $12.50 a day for 30 day stay. Nice rv park and campground operated by nice couple that live on site. Have made a lot of nice upgrades since they bought it, including brand new pavilion, new toilet and shower house and upgraded laundry building. 10 new shorter sites by pavilion that have concrete side curbs and gravel base with fhu's for transient travelers. Our site, #29, was level pull-thru concrete with patio area and fhu's that worked well with good water pressure @45psi. Some permanents but most of those in good shape. Laundry-$1.50W,$1.00D. One con, folks drive too fast thru the park, but we liked it here and would stay here again. - xarmoreddriver
Jun 2019 - $56.00
Great place to stay. Clean and everyone is super nice. Great WiFi really good cable. No electrical issues good water pressure bathrooms are large clean and private. Pool is super clean. Has a nice enclosed dog park. Close to Austin or Bastrop. Paved streets but not the sites. - kortni10
May 2019 - $33.00
Averaged $33 / night with Passport America discount ($50 without) for water/electric/50 amp/sewer/cable/wifi. Excellent campground about 15 miles outside Austin with easy access on a main highway. Level site, nice spacing between sites, security gate. Would definitely stay here again! - Teddi2
Jan 2018 - $25.00
Passport America price. Close to Austin. Gated. Very helpful staff. We stopped here to visit some friends in Austin before heading up to Dallas. We were only going to stay a few days, but an ICE STORM came through, so we extended our stay. The staff was very helpful in letting us stay longer even though the site was booked AND allowed us to pay the weekly rate instead of making us pay for 7 individual days (3 days@$25(PA) + 4 days@$50), which saved us $125! They really helped us out in a crazy weather situation. The park itself was nice too. We were in the front of the park in the short-term area. The rest of the place was full. There is a nice fenced off-leash area for dogs, as well as exercise equipment and a pool (did not use either). There are individual bathrooms that are very nice, clean, and tiled with a nice big open shower, but did not use shower. The park doubles as a self-storage, which is located next door, so there is a LOT of security; coded gates, cameras, and locks on everything. They fill propane tanks, which was super helpful in an ice storm. Our site had 50amp FHUs, okay WiFi and 2 bars Verizon LTE. - Unknown_Normal
Jul 2018 - $32.00
This place was a concrete jungle. I am sorry I picked this place. Lots of full time residents but very quiet. The water & electric were good. Not very level and had to put 2 blocks on one side to level us out. Parking was strange - had a small place next to trailer lot to park. It was so hot - Texas has been hitting the 100s for the past few weeks and this place just radiated heat. I found a small wooded area next door to walk the dogs which let me out at a church with woods behind it. - Kerch Family
Aug 2016 - $33.00
First the good things, making a reservation and check in the folks were very nice. Power, water pressure and sewer were all good. Sites are all concrete however ours was not very level.
We requested a pull through as we were towing a vehicle. Was told at check in that once parked I would have to disconnect the toad since their pull through's are actually two back ins and they may have to rent the spot behind us. One of the reasons I like pull through sites is the option to leave the car hooked up or to be able to get it all hooked up the night before. Was told I would need to rent two sites if I wanted a true pull through.
Sites are very close together, no picnic tables and not enough room between the units to put one. Water hook ups are below ground and ours was flooded so you had to reach down into a pail of water to hook up the water hose. Our site had a small willow tree planted so close that it rubbed against the side of the coach and made it difficult to get to the back of the MH or in the basement compartments.
The grass has not been cut and needs it badly. Lots of full timers with older rigs with junk piled around their sites.
Noise level from the road and in the park is very loud and being so close to your neighbor you hear everything going on.
Last complaint is that there is no place to walk the dog except up and down the concrete drives.
Passport America discount is not the usual 50% off. We stayed here for 3 nights and we won't be back. - Razin Kane
Apr 2019 - $20.00
Not much has changed since I stayed here a year ago. At that time I stayed closer to the road in a newer section and it was muddy. This time I stayed in the main section. The road wasn't near as bad as a year ago. The grass had been cut but there was some weed eating to be done. The site next to me resembled a junk yard. There were tools, spare parts, a jack etc scattered about. They were in the process of rebuilding an open trailer is what it looked like. The truck traffic on the farm road started at 4:30 AM It is not a good RV park for a light sleeper. - mrracechaser
Jul 2017 - $35.00
In transit so stayed only one night. Nice level site, we did not need to disconnect our tow vehicle. Cash or check for payment, credit cards accepted for an additional charge. We were happy with our campsite and the campground in general. Will definitely come back some time in the future. Easy access from 77. My rating is based on my own bias of looking for easy access with a level site. - Patricia Sterkowitz
Jun 2015 - $18.00
This is the most decrepit park that I have stayed in since I have been traveling in a motorhome! This was probably a nice park way back when, but there has not been any maintenance in years. The facility is filled with rundown trailers with "stuff" all around them and weeds growing under. Trash was never picked up while we were there and the bins were running over! It did have FHU so that was a plus. The road leading in is full of potholes. No checks or credit cards, cash only! We had to stay there as we had a maintenance problem that was resolved on Saturday. I would not recommend this park to anyone! - oniedu
Nov 2017 - $30.00
The place is fairly new, some spots still need road base, place is very friendly and quiet. The monthly fee is only $400.oo and includes water, electric, and sewage. Cable is coming soon. Good place for long term. - Jda422
Jun 2017 - $23.00
We had a confirmed reservation for a back-in site for 1 mo. @ $480/m0. as stated on the RV park website and reconfirmed on a recorded line one week before arrival. The office sign directed us to a tight circle in front of the owner's mansion which required us to unhitch and backup. There was no one to check us in even though we arrived during stated staffed office hours. No one was home nor manning checkin. The groundskeeper, via phone, directed us to park in a pull thru vs. our reserved back-in because "the previous person in your reserved site decided to stay longer". Hours later, after we had hooked up and unpacked, the office person finally showed up and told us we would need to pay $200 a wk. pull thru price (vs. confirmed $480/m0.) and move into a lesser-priced backin, if and when one opened up, and at the park's convenience. This is the 1st time ever that I arrived at an RV park with confirmed reservations only to be told that the previous tenants got to keep our confirmed site. We were overrun with ants in our pull thru; all ant types. We got ant trails in our RV, for the first time ever in our RVing history, and bites on our skin from fire ant types. The grounds person ran his large mower fast and right up to the sides of our motorhome spewing stones and debris against our RV. Our site was a few feet from the 71 highway and large truck noise, 24/7, meaning we had to have our AC and fan running 24/7. Bastrop RV Park is not an RV park at all but a trailer park for long-term residents. No picnic tables, no grills, no fire pits, no Internet, no TV. If you want TV, you need to drive 35 miles each way to Austin and setup an account for a cable box thru Spectrum with limited channels; then drive back and forth to return cable boxes. The bathrooms were dark and dank. We won't stay at this park again. - Dirt Biker
Nov 2016 - $25.00
We love this park. Clean, lake, boating, fishing, bike riding and hiking. The town has everything restaurants, health care, Walmart, lowes, etc. 40 minutes away from Austin. Easy to get your camper in and out. Also shelters on the water. - Erby
Mar 2014 - $30.00
We stayed here while visiting Austin. The park is OK. Mostly has seasonal and full time residents. Close to the highway so there was some highway noise. WiFi was not available at all sites. Park was OK for a stop over night but there are nicer places. - Jdawg
Oct 2015 - $100.00
Extremely quiet. You'll have to make sure your camper can hold fresh water; they have a pump/well, but you have to fill your unit up before you park. They will draw out the hose to fill your RV without moving; they are really good about making sure you're good like that. - ChrisLWT
Nov 2013 - $30.00
Park is rustic with lots of treesand chickens in park but they stay in roost until after 8 am. The rate is very reasonable and the friendly park host/owner only charged me for three days even though I was there for four nights. I would not consider this park a good location for a large RVs (ours is 36') as the available sites are not level. I found a site near the front of the park that was level enough to use my jacks but I barely fit. At this site the 50 amp power plug was so close to the ground that I could barely bend the cord enough to get connected. The road to the park is narrow and there are two rough railroad crossings to go over. And, yes, train traffic was an issue but the trains in the night seemed to mute their horns. Do not take the shorter route to the park as the road goes through a single lane, low water crossing that is very rough and steep - there were many scrape marks in the pavement where trailer hitches, etc. have hit. - sccatech
Mar 2019 - $48.00
Excellent park with friendly owners and all the amenities we needed. Be watchful as you near the park, you can miss the entry. It is also important to follow the signs as you leave. There are certain turns you must make to go west and different exit streets to go east. This park is located just off a major highway and there is some road noise. The laundry facilities were pristine and you can use your credit card which is nice. There is a playroom attached to the office and our 3 & 5 year old grand-kids were very entertained by the puzzles, books and games. Older children could enjoy the Foosball and pool tables. It was too cold to swim but the pool looked inviting and there is a pavilion that is apparently used for meals etc. and it was impressive. The park sits on the Colorado River and we visited the playground and river on a couple of occasions. In warmer weather it would be inviting. Weeds down by the river were a little intimidating to me but the playground was well maintained and shaded by large trees. - WindRiver
Aug 2018 - $43.00
We love this park. The owner were very friendly and helpful. Our two dogs love the squirrels in the doggie park. The doggie park was shaded and very well maintained. The sites were all concreted and roads paved. They had a subdivision located in the back which provided a safe place to ride our bikes. Will definite come back in the future. - sherry and ron
Jun 2018 - $50.00
This is a really nice place to stay. We have camped at a lot of RV parks, but this is always our pick to stay because of the cleanliness, quiet, amenities, and really great owners. The owners are so very helpful with any need that you may have and on top of that they are great folks. The park's location is close to a lot of different kinds of stores, fast food, good restaurants, and just a great to stay. If you get a chance to stay here, please do not hesitate. - Wdwellbo
