Small park, very rustic and private. Owner so friendly and accommodating. Lots of mesquite trees, pretty level sites, and very quiet. Best WiFi I have encountered in a long time. - TXTread

Rate is based on monthly rate. Bare bones park. Gravel/mud/grass sites, no table, no pads, just you, your site, good water, electric cable and internet. Cable is very limited with mostly Hispanic channels, Wi-Fi is very good so Netflix made cable bearable. With one or two exceptions, residents are all working folk who leave in the morning, return in the evening, wave on the way by and stay to themselves. A few trailers are in need of some attention to clean the mold off the exterior and cleanup but they are owned and rented by the park. The city of Goliad has absolutely nothing to offer so if you want to get away from it all. This is your park. Strictly a "I want to get away from it all for awhile" park. - JimChan52

Camp is at edge of Goliad near groceries and fuel. About 62 sites, mostly seasonal campers. Electric, water, and wifi were good. Manager was very accommodating...everything was completed via phone and online. No amenities at park except fairly long and level sites with comfortable spacing. Rained really hard the whole day before we left and there were rivers of water. I was impressed that by morning, water had drained away. - Jitime40

We RV'ed in #43 in Jacales area. Not the best Camping area in the park. A very weird setup for a campground. All the spots in the Jacales Camping area are right on top of each other and at the edge of a large blacktop parking lot. This is good for families to camp together and have an area for the kids to ride bikes on, but not much else. If you are RVING look for a spot in the Karankaw Camping area or #21 in Jacales. #21 is the only site with shade from the afternoon sun. Tent camping in this area is more spread out. - jlogco1978

We camped here in the FHU campground with reservations made 333 days prior to arriving for the 34th Annual Reenactment and Living History Program at Presidio La Bahia (not to be confused with Mission Espiritu Santo) which was a one mile walk from the campground on improved trails. There is also access to the San Antonio River in the park and some paddling trails. Some highway noise. All FHU sites are pull thru. Very level asphalt pad. Very clean and neatly mowed sites. Sites are pretty much open without much shade. Park staff very friendly and extremely helpful with area recommendations. Restrooms/showers in FHU campground are pretty worn, but clean. There were two job johnnies placed outside the restrooms, so don't know what that was about. FHU campground nearest to front gate (which closes at 10pm) and Mission Espiritu Santo State Historic Site, which was restored by the CCC. AT&T 1 bar sporadically, but WIFI was relatively good while in restroom/shower building. Campfire wood was available at Park HQs for purchase. - napunani

Nice park to stay. It's a little pricey if you don't have the Texas State Park pass, but it's a very nice park with full hook ups. - RJ56
