Easy access, close to Capitol Reef. Level pull thru sites with electricity. Very clean bathrooms with showers. Owner was friendly and available immediately when we arrived. Place is very under utilized for the price. We camped at Sleepy Hollow Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Have to agree with the other reviews. Simple RV park, but it met our needs. Utah has launched an advertising campaign for the Mighty Five, and it's working a bit too well. Usually stay in Torrey, but EVERYTHING was full! We enjoyed the owner's hospitality and the yummy fruits and veggies he brought from his garden. We camped at Sleepy Hollow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

I made a fairly last minute reservation here for a holiday weekend as it was the only thing available in the general area of Capitol Reef. There were very few others staying there, but it is a bit out of the way. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The camp host is a very nice guy, checking in often and also bringing us fresh, vine ripened cantaloupe which was a real treat. The accommodations in the area are pretty spread out so it is best to be prepared as it's 20 or more miles in either direction before you reach anywhere with services. We camped at Sleepy Hollow Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We have a 34 foot RV and wanted somewhere close to Capital reef national park.

We searched the internet and came up with Sleepy Hollow Campsite at Caineville.

We gave them a call, and the guy was very polite, helpful and informative, he said he wasn't busy and we didn't need to reserve just come on down. Don't be put off when you first arrive, no it doesn't look much, but I love this place. The owner met us at the entrance and welcomed us to his RV park. Apart from a guy who is here long term we were the only ones. It is not full hook up, you do have electric, water is available and there is a dump site on site. This guy brings us fruit and veg from his garden and is so helpful and personable it makes me want to stay longer. It is a short drive to Capital reef NP and there is Hanksville (18 mile) and Torrey 29 mile), two small towns with fuel and shops.

The views are great, there are about 31 sites plus additional ones for tenting.

The showers and toilets are clean, hot and free to use.

I cant believe this one is so quite, but the main thing for me is Forests hospitality. 10 out of 10. We camped at Sleepy Hollow Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fill up before you get here with fuel as it is expensive at Hanksville and Torrey. Loa, has cheaper fuel but is further on again from Torrey.

Overall Rating:

I have paid more and gotten less. This campground was just what the doctor ordered.

After a long school year we just wanted to get away and have some fun. It was a great base camp.

The manager/owner was friendly and up front about the amenities. No cell service! Love it, we wanted to get away from it all. The grounds were clean, the restrooms where very clean! manager/owner was GREAT, he brought us a map and pointed out points of interest and great trails to take. When we accidentally locked our keys in the truck he was there with the kit to solve the problem and a smile on his face.

We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. We got lucky with the weather, which added to our enjoyment of a weekend away from it all (and because of the date had probably added to being the only ones to stay the entire weekend. I can't live with out electricity, but it was great to leave the cell phone in the off mode. We did get WiFi service, but chose not to use it.)

We where very pleased with everything! We camped at Sleepy Hollow Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sleepy Hollow was close to Capitol Reef and not to far from Goblin Valley. Our 2 destinations for the weekend.

A no-frills very basic park that caters mostly to dirt bikers but is a fine choice as base camp for sightseers. Dirt/gravel sites are very close to level and there is some shade. There is nothing in the park itself to do; all the attractions are in the surrounding area and it's a place to come back to at the end of the day. There is no cellular service in this part of Utah, no nearby stores, no gas stations so come fully supplied. Internet is weak and slow at best and the very friendly and personable owner will tell you this up front. I will camp here again next time I am through the area. We camped at Sleepy Hollow Campground in a Motorhome.
