We stayed here six nights to explore Moab, Canyonlands, Goblin State Park, Arches and Capitol Reef. The campgrounds are nicely kept and the bathrooms are modern and clean with plenty of hot water for showers. The sites come with electricity and water and there are two dump sites on the property. Some sites are pull through but our back-in site was no problem There is no laundry or store, but the store in town is excellent more like a general store with groceries. Be sure to try the taco truck in town it was great. We had site number 27 which is on the corner facing the river bridge and feels like you do not have neighbors on either side of you. The campgrounds were very quiet even when full. Dump site on grounds. We camped at Green River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

We were walk ins on a week night. Plenty of spaces available. Picturesque setting in cottonwood trees, vivid yellow fall leaves when we were here. Aforementioned train wasn't bothersome. Park was clean. Our site was pretty level. We camped at Green River State Park in a Motorhome.

We loved this park. There was a train nearby but you didn't hear it at night. Shaded in the afternoon our pull through fit our 34' and tow easily. Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. All the parks we wanted to visit were within an hrs drive and they were awesome. Good local restaurants too. We arrived during the week as a walk in and had multiple choices of sites. Stayed Wednesday thru Saturday. We camped at Green River State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Spacious and lovely campground with tall cottonwood trees and lots of grass. There are at least 3 walking paths that will lead to the river. Campground is next to both a golf course and a rail line (train noise was not a problem for us but we had the air-conditioner running often during the night.) Gate personnel were organized and very nice. Sites are concrete and level, interior roads are well maintained and easy to navigate. Bathrooms were clean. Verizon service was excellent and we received more than a dozen OTA channels. ReserveAmerica.com's map of the campground is accurate (for the most part) but the text is misleading; Site 36, for example, will accommodate rigs MUCH longer than the "30 feet" ReserveAmerica.com lists it at. It seems that most of the sites are longer than ReserveAmerica.com shows. We would stay there again. We camped at Green River State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Not to be confused with Green River in Wyoming, this park was an excellent stop on our way north this spring. Sites are large and spaced out nicely. We had a pull-thru, which was just basically a wider spot along the paved road but didn't get too much close traffic. The site wasn't level, about 3 inches low on the right side. There were shade trees, but we were still able to get DirecTV. There was no Wi-Fi, but we got a strong VZW signal. Power was good, since we needed air conditioning due to the heat. Railroad tracks were close but not enough to be a problem with nighttime noise; I-80 is further away. We had a water-electric site, and the dump station was easy to access. Flying insects were an issue in late-Spring, making sitting outside a Deet-based activity. Maintenance staff were pretty obsessed with watering the grass, so careful deployment of outside gear was important. We camped at Green River State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed two nights because our dry camping plans were changed by triple digit heat. A few leveling blocks were required but not bad. The pedestal provided plenty of power for the AC which was also helped by quite a few well-trimmed cottonwood trees. Free showers had plenty of hot water, although the design of the stall allowed splash on the "dry" area; put a towel over your items to keep them dry. Our cell reception (Verizon) was strong 4G LTE. There are two camp-host sites so the staff is readily available and helpful. The dump station is easy to pull into. We felt the sites were amply big and the campground was generally pretty quiet. Nice view of the railroad bridge over the Green River. Never noticed the train at night. There is a water spigot at the site but we didn't need it. We would stay there again. We camped at Green River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Liked the burgers at Ray's Diner in town. It can accommodate large groups. The decor was pretty cool. At least two fuel stations in town had diesel and could accommodate large rigs. Although the hours were somewhat restrictive (8a-8p, June 2018), the Melonvine Market had a wonderful selection of fresh food and baked goods as well as groceries. Less than an hour away is Goblin Valley State Park which is a DON'T MISS!!!

A ranger monitors the entry gate. Staff live on-site which is good. They monitored in golf carts and made sure kids did not play on their newly seeded grass areas. We loved the 9 hole golf course next door. We camped at Green River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Green oasis in the middle of desert landscape. We stayed here 5 days while sightseeing around northern Utah. Very helpful, friendly staff. No sewer hookup, but convenient dump station. Several washrooms around the park with very clean bathrooms and showers. Next to a town golf course. Train running through nearby, even at night, but sort of liked the sound. We camped at Green River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here to be close to Moab. I will tell you that we should have stayed in Moab to go to Moab! its about 45 minutes from Green River. I think the advantage was it was a state park and well maintained. Also, The park was shaded by trees and next to a golf course and state police barracks. Although there was no sewer hookup, there was water and electric. The showers were clean and quiet at night except for the occasional train. We camped at Green River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This park is an oasis for weary travelers or a peaceful weekend getaway. Fall is a beautiful time to visit, the trees are a golden yellow. The website is not updated often and the photos are years old. They do not reflect the recent addition of water spigots at all the sites. This was a pleasant surprise for us! This is an older park so it may be difficult for some of the larger rigs to find a site that is suitable. We did have to park our tow vehicle creatively to fit. There is a train that runs fairly frequently but it did not wake us up at night (it does run at night). Each site has a picnic table and most have fire pits. The campground sells firewood for $8 a bundle. (save yourself a few bucks and go to ACE hardware). The bathrooms and showers were clean. The reason for the low service score was because we tried for weeks prior to our trip to speak to someone at the park. No one was ever around to answer calls, return calls or emails. We enjoyed our stay very much though. We camped at Green River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a grocery store in town called the Melon Vine. Green River is known for their water melons. They did not disappoint! The golf course is beautiful. Try your hand at disc golf! If you go to the John Powell Musueum it is also a visitor center and has many phamplets with exciting day trips to do.

Very peaceful. Nice golf course. 9 holes, but you can play it twice. Very nice folks let me ride with my husband for free. You can hike around golf course after players leave. It is a beautiful walk. Lots of OTA channels. Dump available. Great stopover on way to National Parks in Utah. Would stay again. We camped at Green River State Park in a Motorhome.
