This is a very new park, and when the landscaping matures, will be even nicer. The sites are long and spaced nicely from each other, and all utilities are in great condition. Customer service was superb. Wifi is the best I've seen in any park. Very large selection of cable channels. Verizon signal is good. The main negatives are that it's pretty barren right now, there is no shade to speak of, and the whole place is built on a slope, so you will need to level. Great overnight stop. Short walk into a cute little town. We camped at Castle Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great, brand new campground! Cabins & tent sites also available. Sites are very wide, so there is plenty of space between campers. It is very well maintained & clean! Helper is a railroad town with a train yard. The tracks are right across the road with the train yard down aways. The trains come through very slow. Occasionally a whistle is heard in the distance. It's a soothing sound to me, so I don't mind it at all. There are not a high number of trains either. There will be some nice shade in the future & plantings will eventually offer privacy. Would definitely stay here again! We camped at Castle Gate RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Brand new park. Very clean and excellent service. The owner stopped to welcome us and the check in process was friendly and helpful. Gentlemen checking us in bent over backwards helping us splice some wires to our jacks that had become cut from road burn. We were escorted to our site; trees are young and newly planted so no shade as it was previously an alfalfa field according to the owner. Make sure to use a water pressure regulator as the water pressure is high but that may have been partly due to the Park not being very full. The splash park, new playground and direct access to Price River make this an excellent stop with kids. Gravel throughout and no dirt. The trains stopping and parking across the street were somewhat of a concern when we arrived but actually were unnoticed inside our MH with fans running, they don’t blow their horns near us but you can hear it as they pass through town. Boys actually enjoyed watching them. We would definitely stay here again. They also have propane available to fill your trailer or rig if needed though we didn’t need it. We only stayed at the RV park as it was a reset and laundry day for us but Helper seems to be a nice small town with some growth and mining and railroad history plus Price Rec area nearby for hiking and tent camping. We camped at Castle Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.

Extremely clean and friendly. Large slots and plenty of room to maneuver. Very kind staff who went above and beyond helping us with an RV issue. The cleanest restrooms and showers! I’ve seen to date. Splash pad and play set for the kiddos, stream behind Park supposedly has brown and cut-throat trout. The owner stopped by to thank us for staying. Wish there was a few more washers & dryers.
I highly recommend this park! We camped at Castle Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a new park and it is close to the trains, however, it's not very noisy. The trains move by slowly and do not honk. They add the helper engines just up the road so there's no speed, just a bit of a rumble, usually not at night. We stayed here for over a week. We choose a back in. All hookups worked well, roads are easy to negotiate with our 40ft MH. Wifi works great, staff in office are very helpful and pleasant to deal with. There is a small dog area and a playground with a water feature for the kids. Lots of new trees planted but no shade yet. Sites are mostly spaced well, not too close. asphalt to park on and gravel on the rest of the site. No dust. We camped at Castle Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Not a lot of shopping in Helper but a great museum, Price is 6 miles south and has a couple big grocery stores as well as a great museum.

Brand new park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restrooms, showers and laundry facilities were spotless. They have a small convenience store, and there is a small grocery about 2 blocks north. There is a small grass dog off-leach area and propane available. The site is newly graveled, and some of the gravel pads are not tightly compacted yet. I saw one motorhome depart that left 6" ruts in the pad as he pulled out. The layout of the utilities is awkward In some of the sites with the sewer connection pretty far from the water and power. Other than that everything is top-notch. We camped at Castle Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.

Excellent, nothing negative about this place. WiFi worked well and bathrooms that are individual with showers were spotless. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Cable TV probably has a hundred channels. They just opened so not a lot of mature trees but A/C provided enough cooling. It's a short walk into Helper which was a mining town and still a railroad crew change point. Trains are not that frequent and the downtown core is preserved to reflect the history I would highly recommend and there are individual cabins to rent as well. Shop in Price 6 miles east. We camped at Castle Gate RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

It is a brand new park so it will be a few years before the trees are mature, but it is a very nice park that is within walking distance of town. Our site was right next to a river. We camped at Castle Gate RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We had the privilege of being the first users of this just opened RV park. Just off Hwy 60. The park is beautifully set up for any type of RV vehicle. What impressed us was the quantity of shower rooms and its clean appearance. While the grounds are somewhat barren of vegetation, the plants are in. The staff is superb and extremely helpful. The only minor item of concern, the spots are somewhat soft and the pads, which are required, will sink in. All in all and excellent RV rest stop for short or long term stay. We will be back.....Thanks to all the staff. Close to town. We camped at Castle Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.
