We had a back in site near the tent sites. Originally we were concerned about the trees in the site assigned to us, #20. Instead, asked to use site 17, more open with patio. A big mistake! It turned out that the electrical post was damaged so there was no power. We kept getting fault messages on the surge protector. We did move to site 20 the next day with great help from the camp host. Power was good there. WiFi is non existent though it is supposed to be available. The campground is old, spaces tight for a big rig or large fifth wheel. The park needs a lot if TLC and a good clean up. Old items are lodged behind the building with the bathrooms. Positive: The camp hosts are very nice and helpful. Sadly, we would not stay here again. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Day trips to North Rim of Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Cedar Breaks, Pope Springs, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary all convenient. There is a laundromat and car wash across the street. Big Al's drive in is across Hwy 89 and a great place for fast food. Lotsa Motsa Pizza is next door and has a reasonable lunch buffet. Be sure to tour the Heritage House Museum (Bowman-Chamberlain home). We learned a lot in this area about the Kaibab Paiutes, Mormons, and federal government history.

Though sites are close together we were in the back near the tent area and trees so we didn't mind it so much. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restrooms were clean but each only has one shower and one sink. The men's stall was very small to the point that you have to sit down before you close the stall door. (interesting) Another oddity is that the plug that you would use typically to dry your hair is located in the shower area so you have to run the power cord over the shower wall. Also they need some sort of soap dispenser at the sink to wash your hands. They also need to boost the wifi since you can't really do anything in the evening hours. It is very conveniently located to Honey's a local market, a laundry across the street and for really good wifi McDonald's across the street however they don't have any electrical outlets. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Honeys the market just east of the park is a great place to shop, reasonable prices and you can use your receipt to get a discount at the Honey's gas station next to the market. There are signs along the main street that tells about various Hollywood stars that acted in shows and movies produced locally.

We stayed 3 nights and although it is an older park there are trees and 1 block away from a dry irrigation pond that had dry berms all around . It was a very convenient place to walk our 3 dogs. It is right on the main street, but we were in the back so didn't notice any noise.. We are a self contained truck camper and did not need hook-ups. It was nice of them to put us in a tent site for a lower cost. There is a laundry mat right across the street. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Truck Camper.

The kamp hosts were very welcoming folks. They had recently gone through a terrible flooding of the site form a major storm, but were bringing the site back to a level of acceptance. I wish they could make it a non-smoking RV camp, but even they smoke. All hookups worked and were in good shape, but getting into and out of the camp required hurtling one's trailer over a formidable hump. The camp is right downtown, which means lots of noise from the McDonald's across the street, along with another fast food join. The traffic on the main street of Kanab can be noisy, especially late at night when the "cool kids" race their motorcycles or fast cars. We were awaken on a SAT morning to the two overnight campers beside us breaking camp between 5:30am and 6:00am, a bit early and definitely outside of the Quiet Time supposed imposed upon the camp. However, this was out of the control of the hosts. We just found the place was in the midst of too much small town noise. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice "rustic" place to stay while exploring the area. Not that high on amenities but terrific hosts that were very knowledgeable on local sights. Water pressure was fantastic. We liked this place. Bathrooms are one-person shower only. Their toilet area was smaller than my coach's. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

As others have said, small place in the middle of town. Easy to walk to shopping, restaurants, and laundromat. Second time I have stayed here when going to Best Friends. Hosts were very friendly and easy to get along with. Spaces are a little tight, but I am okay with that given how nice and clean it is. All hookups worked well, site I had was easy to back in to, and was level. Lots of shade trees. Plan on staying here every time I am in town. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The site we stayed in was not good for a tow vehicle but we didn't have one, so there may have been others that would have been. Water pressure needs a regulator, but they tell you that before you hook up. The high pressure makes for a fantastic shower when you use their showers though!

This is a rather small park right in the center of Kanab so conveniently located to the nearby Laundromat and some restaurants. We stayed for four nights while we explored nearby Zion National Park and the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, both of which we highly recommend. The park was full every night of our stay. The park offered full hookups. The park host suggested we use a regulator for the water but we were also okay just not turning the water on full force. All the staff here was very friendly and helpful. The bath house is very dated but functional and kept clean. You are issued a key for it when you check in for your stay. The "Dudettes" room had two small toilet stalls and one shower. There were paper towels but no soap at the one sink. There are some other parks in town that might be worth checking out but this one worked okay for us. Most others seemed to use it as an overnight stop. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

A great campground to use as a home base while in the southern Utah area. Convenient to many local attractions, including Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Also - can walk to restaurants, movie theater and shops. New owners are busy making improvements. Some sites are smaller, but still plenty of room for slides. Older park with spaces a little tight but with trees, level sites, plenty of charm, and very friendly hosts. Right downtown so easy walking to laundry, restaurants, and groceries. Noise at night was minimal as the town seems to roll up their sidewalks in the evening. As new visitors to the area, the good wifi was very much appreciated for investigating places to go and things to do. Best we've seen in a long time, really smoking. Kanab is very centrally located for many activities in this part of Utah: hiking, history, scenery, etc. The restroom facilities are very limited: for men there is one shower, one urinal, and one stall. And if you are over 6'-2", you will probably have to use the stall with the door open. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

While this little RV Park might be a little more rustic than some of the high-dollar RV resorts you've been to but it is an awesome place to hang your hat if you are in Kanab - especially if you are here for a few days of trail riding or just passing through and need space just for the night.

We were welcomed and immediately made to feel at home by the owners and camp hosting team. The restroom/shower facilities were spotless and well maintained. There are several eateries within walking distance, with a great old-fashioned burger restaurant and a McDonalds right across the street.

We spent several days here enjoying the awesome trails and breath-taking scenery of Hog Canyon, Johnson Canyon, and The Grand Staircase Escalante, covering over 250 miles of trails in 3 days. Johnson Canyon Road, (8 miles from the RV park on SR 89) will take you on a very scenic 50 plus mile ride through the back country to Cannonville. 4WD Recommended, but saw many regular cars on the trail.

Many thanks to the owners and camp hosts. A very special thanks to camp hosts who led us up Hog Canyon to that beautiful overlook. We had a fantastic time with all of you. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality... We will see you again, of that we are sure.

We were a total of 67 feet long. Had my 6.5 x 14 feet UTV trailer attached to the 5th wheel. Had to disconnect my tow vehicle. We're in the only oversized pull thru at the park.

This is an older park, so it's smaller, and a little more rustic, but they accommodated large DP's and other 5th Wheels with extra trailers.

They also have cabins. And it's great for overnighters, too. Lots of rental RV's with European tourists in and out on a daily basis. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Kanab was packed when we arrived, and just by luck we were able to get the last site at Hitch N Post. It is a very small park, with just about the nicest and friendliest hosts - Doug and Susan- you could ever find. We have a big rig, and were able to maneuver into a very nice level spot. Great wifi, and lovely park neighbors. We camped at Hitch-N-Post RV Park in a Motorhome.
