This is a US Forest Service campground, about 9.7 miles south of Monticello, UT, and 13 miles north of Blanding on the west side of Rt. 191. 42 excellent dry camp spaces. Water is available at several places in the park, but you may not connect to it. Use a container. The pull through sites run parallel to the road and are easily maneuverable. The following says it all. I reserved a space for three days. When I experienced what it is I extended it to 7 days. After spending two day here in total serenity I was fortunate to be able to extend my stay for another week. This park will break any dry camp phobia. This campground is out of the way, but what it has to offer is worth the extra miles. It is quiet, the view from my east side space is unique. I look out over the top of a pine forest. The pull-thrus are parallel to the road, a longer RV acts as a screen and provides total privacy from passers by, which are few. The park takes cleanliness to a higher level. All of the vegetation is in its natural state, yet the roads and spaces have that manicured look of high end commercial parks. Haven't been through Blanding yet. Monticello has necessities, and a Subway, and cheap gas and diesel. We camped at Devil's Canyon - USFS in a Motorhome.

This park has been expanded over time, with the newer loop having larger and more open sites. Our cost reflected a four-night stay with Golden Age Passport discount, inclusive of the reservation fee. "Pull thru" sites are done in semi-circles, which aren't really designed for larger rigs. We were able to pull in and back out with no interference from the trees. The site (14) was large but quite unlevel (4.5 inches of lift and still not quite level). As noted, this is dry camping. We were able to get decent solar charging until mid-afternoon, and only needed 1.5-2 hours of generator time per day (although that got us looks of disdain from nearby campers). With a supplemental directional antenna, we were able to get decent OTA TV. DirecTV was fine, as (surprisingly) VZW 4G. Water spigots were available, but each was labeled "Not Tested" so we didn't use any. We camped at Devil's Canyon - USFS in a Motorhome.

Paid $30 for 2 nights, which included reservation fee. Campground was nearly empty. Our Loop had bigger sites more suitable for RVs. The second loop has smaller sites. We camped at Devil's Canyon - USFS in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Heading north on Highway 191, we had 2 nice drives to the west; Hwy 211 to Canyonlands NP and second drive further north to Needles Overlook.

Beautiful park and quiet. Usable Verizon. Nothing to add to the other comments except regarding their reservation system. The loop I went into was all reserved but for two sites, so I felt fortunate to get one. The reservations were for different names but for the same three days starting on the day I arrived. I only saw two parties occupying the sites when I left the next morning. Such a waste. For this reason I try to avoid campgrounds that take reservations. We camped at Devil's Canyon - USFS in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Maybe the best dry campground we've ever been to. Easy, paved roads to get into and out of; sites very in shape and size as well as placement of picnic table, fire ring and available tent area. Loop B was better for us (tent camping this time) as there appeared to be more spacious sites as well as room between sites. Immaculate vault rest rooms and a water spigot just across from our site (B29). Appeared to be a single camp host for both loops and he was right on top of things. Will definitely stay here again, whether motorhoming or tent camping. We camped at Devil's Canyon - USFS in a Motorhome.

Nice nature trail at the end of loop B with a decent set of ruins at the end.

This was a surprise! We stayed three nights (with senior pass) over memorial day in space 14. They don't have 'restrooms' but they had the cleanest pit toilets I've ever seen. There are water spigots spaced around the park also. Just a few miles north of Blanding, we used it as a base to explore some local ruins and Natural Bridges park. Most are levelish. We parked at one end of the pull thru to get the easiest set up. Very private. Some afternoon shade. A little noise from hwy 191, but not obtrusive. Nice concrete pad with pit, table, and stand for a BBQ attached to the asphalt pad. You are free to scavenge firewood from dead trees. Bring a saw. B loop doesn't have the concrete table pads. Space 20, for an rv, is very private, facing a stone wall for a pull in. 22 would be great for a family. Lots of shade and a lot of room to play. B loop is closer to the hwy tho, and will have more noise. Check closely when booking as some are quite short. The host told us they are rarely full and always have spaces available. We had a nice view over the short pines to the east and lots of contrails overhead. We'd stay again. We camped at Devil's Canyon - USFS in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Check the tower ruins on hwy 95. Cave tower is the best. Hard to find. A gate on the south side of the road. Look it up. If you don't have 4wd, it's an easy .4 mile walk to a split rail fence. Follow the trail a 100yds or so and look for the tower ruins on top of a hill. You'll be able to see three others from there and some Indian ruins in the cliff wall on the other side of the valley. Follow the south rim of the canyon a bit to the SE for the best view. Natural Bridges is a must.

You can book this BLM campsite online, just be aware there is a $9 booking fee. There were plenty of sites available so we probably could have just driven in without a reservation. The campground has two loops and is big rig friendly with several pull through sites. There are no hook-ups but there are water spigots in each loop to fill up containers (not to fill your RV tank). The campground hosts were very friendly and helpful with things to do in the area. Even though the campground is near the highway, it was very quiet. Vault toilets were clean. There is even a short nature hike and nearby jeep trails. The town of Blanding is nearby. We enjoyed our stay here. We camped at Devil's Canyon - USFS in a Fifth Wheel.

Blanding visitor center is a must, we enjoyed the Edge of the Cedars State Park to learn about Native American culture in the area, there is a campground in town that will let you dump for a fee.

This is a no hook up no dump NF campground with very clean pit toilets and water spigots. There are two loops and the more rv friendly of the two was closed during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our nine day stay. Most of our neighbors seemed to stay a night or two at most but this may have been due to the season. The cg is wooded and we had several deer hiding from the hunters, it is quite nice. There are no amenities or things to "do" in the campground but lots of options within easy driving distance.
We are a 38 foot fifth wheel towed by a semi (same footprint as a big dually) and we were able to fit in site 23. Parking the jeep alongside was tight but easy. This site has a large picnic/side area. The were a few other sites is this loop large enough for us. TIP: Go to the second turn around in this loop if you are large!
We really liked this campground and would be happy to return. We highly reccomend it. We camped at Devil's Canyon - USFS in a Fifth Wheel.

What a gem! Almost a 10. One of the nicest NF campgrounds we've been to. The sites and the road from the highway is paved. The southern loop is flat with several pull through sites large enough for big rigs. The trees are juniper/ponderosa mix. The northern loop appears to be older and the sites are not as flat, but it has lots of big ponderosa pines to keep your rig cool in the summer. At least 75% of the sites were not taken or reserved when we arrived at 3pm. We camped at Devil's Canyon - USFS in a Fifth Wheel.

Big rig friendly park with good space between sites. Sites are paved. There are water faucets and toilets throughout the park, but no showers, no dump station, or electric. Verizon service was good; Sprint was non-existent. Although we had a specific site reserved, the camp host was helpful and suggested other sites that may be better for us upon arrival. Several of the sites are not level front to back or side to side. The campsite details on the reservation system list several sites as accommodating smaller vehicles than what the sites will actually accommodate. For example, the reservation system lists site 7 as a 30' vehicle site, but we were able to fit our 40' motor home and our Saturn Vue in that space. You can't reserve site 7 through the reservation system if you list your vehicle as being longer than 30'. Site 14, which we originally reserved, is very unlevel front to back, and it was difficult to level in that site. We enjoyed our stay at this park and will return. We camped at Devil's Canyon - USFS in a Motorhome.

This a recently upgraded USNF Campground. All sites are paved with cement patios, fire ring, and table. We had a very good solar site. Potable water was not availible, seems there was a problem with the water system. We stayed 5 nights. Price reflects Golden Age discount. We camped at Devil's Canyon - USFS in a Motorhome.

This is a National Forest CG so there are no hookups. Vault toilets and water are in several locations through out the campground. This is a wonderful location to stay if you want to see this part of Utah. Canyonlands Needles District is less than an hour away. Natural Bridges National Monument is close enough for a day trip and Moab a little over an hour to the north. Very quiet with beautiful views of the the Abajo Mountains and lots of places to hike and go four wheeling. We would stay here again. We camped at Devil's Canyon - USFS in a Fifth Wheel.
