This was one of the nicest KOA' s we've ever stayed at. The staff went above and beyond and were so nice to us. Our site was level and had a beautiful view of the mesa and buttes. The park is gravel, but most people drove slow to keep the dust down. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for 2 nights in October. Good location for visiting Monument Valley. Level gravel site with good elec, water, sewer. No cable/satellite TV and TV by antenna isn't available due to location of park. Wifi poor, probably due to satellite provider. Helpful manager and overall a good spot to stay while visiting the park. Suggest making a reservation as soon as you know you need it due to limited competition (particularly if you have a big rig). We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Considering where it is not a bad price for full hook-ups. New, well laid out park with gravel throughout. Site was level. Sewer a bit farther to the rear than I wanted but a short extension took care of that. Don't even think about shade. Wifi was the most pitiful I've seen in years and Verizon was just barely detectable - sometimes. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

The park is wide open, and seems to be fairly new. They are apparently adding patios, fire pits and tables because not all sites had all of those. It was a mix. Facilities were clean and the staff was friendly. There is an off-leach area for dogs and a playground for kids. No shade. It is in a wide open prairie, so the views are great. I'd stay again. Overall Rating:

Very convenient to Monument Valley. We had a very long, gravel pull-through, with ample room to park our tow. Interior roads are easy to navigate. Restrooms are small but clean. There is a small dog park and a larger grass area for walking. Children's playground is nice. Views of Monument Valley are gorgeous. WiFi didn't work and no Verizon internet, but this is a remote area. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This KOA is located within the Navajo Reservation and Monument Valley. It is a basic campground with gravel pull-through sites which are long enough for a Class A and tow vehicle with the tow vehicle parked perpendicular to the coach. Dependable electric and water pressure and sewer hook-ups. No shade. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit, and patios are in the process of being added. Manager is friendly and the two ladies in the office are very friendly and helpful with local directions and sightseeing recommendations. Very short drive to the Navajo Tribal Park and Monument Valley tour area. Pricey for amenities but it's primarily driven by location. We would stay here again. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

New park and still building so it's a bit rustic. Pavers for patio are nice touch but loose the fire pit. Sites need more gravel or better yet, pavement. Great views and a great alternative to Gouldings. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice KOA. It is a new park so the trees are still growing. Easy access, site was easy to into & level. Host was very friendly & helpful . It is a little pricey but then so is everything else in the area. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at this KOA for 3 nights while visiting the area. For being a newer park, we were surprised by several things. Approximately 70% of the park is 30 amp service--only one row with 50 amp. None of the sites are exceptionally long. Our 38' Class A plus toad barely fit on our pull-through site. With the amount of open space surrounding the park, it would seem sites could have been a bit longer. Entire campground is gravel, sites are level, and hookup are convenient. WiFi was decent most of the time, which is good, because cell reception is from poor to non-existent in the area. The office, campstore, and laundry are very nice. The views from the campground are wonderful--the sunsets are spectacular. Convenient location to visit Monument Valley, Mexican Hat, Moki Dugway, and Valley of the Gods. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

No pool or hot tub however, if you're here to visit Monument Valley this campground is in the heart of it! Incredable views early in the morning and at sunset. We were in a 50 amp pull-through site that they just put the first paver patio in and it looks beautiful! The premium sites also have a fire pit and all sites have the built in b-b-q. They have a nice off-lease dog park and a little park and playground for the kids (see my photos). I was there with our 42' 5th wheel toyhauler. We had to unhook and could park beside the rig or in back of it. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Do the Navajo Reservation jeep tours. If you take the tour, the Navajo guide will take you back on the reservation that's not open to the public where you will stop and get out at various locations....see the petraglyphs, etc. We also drove up to Moki Dugway which was pretty incredable. The young lady working the desk, the manager and the owners are all prime examples of what excellent customer service should be at all campgrounds and RV parks. These people all lead by example!

They opened in March and it would appear they have done nothing since. The sites located furthest from the highway have nicer fire rings and a 10x15 space for grass - but the water doesn't work in some of the spaces so the grass is dead. Good power and water and good sewer hook up. No cable, no OTA TV, if you are using AT&T cell towers there is no data but you can text and make calls. Something to do with the Navajo restrictions on cell towers. Lots of dog poop not being picked up or maybe it's from the local dog that wanders the park and is very friendly. Hey it's Monument Valley! We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We had back in site 49. The site was gravel and level. The restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. The staff friendly and helpful. WiFi only worked near the main office. My site was in the row closest to the road but we hardly noticed any road noise. The utilities worked as intended, the sunset, sunrise and night sky were fantastic. The owners seem to be working hard to satisfy their guests. In our case they succeeded. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Other reviews acknowledge newness of this park, so I had no expectations beyond that. The issue for me was I did not get the extra perks one normally gets at KOA for the price I; hence it was not a good value for me. Secondly the staff was almost rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. Enough to turn me off to going back, which I won't. The one review acknowledged the placement of the power posts. The clerk drew on the map how we were to enter our site, but once we got there it was backwards. Everything is right if one enters from the opposite side of the pull through site. Several folks were having the same problem we did. Some figured it out while others did not. It is not clear which site is which by the numbering on the posts. Some folks were clearly not in the site assigned to them. My other issue was the bathrooms. This campground is about the only one in the valley with complete utilities so it draws lots of tent campers who rely on the bathrooms. There were four unisex bathrooms for the entire campground so folks had to wait a good while to get access to one. My photo shows location of campground in the valley and total lack of covering vegetation. We stayed one night. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
