7 RV Parks near Salina, Utah
May 2019 - $36.00
Great park for overnight (or longer). Nice pull thru long enough to keep toad hooked up and still get hookups easily. Hookups are on drivers side. Great water pressure! Don't know what previous reviewer had problem with. Some full timers but everyone was quiet and area is neat and clean. Lovely area for playground and tent sites. Wonderful laundry. Washers $1.50, dryers .25 for 7.5 minutes. Rec room. They even have a pool opening on June. We would definitely stay here again. - webbsafari
May 2019 - $10.00
Pros: Level Site, water pressure and power good. Good Verizon and AT&T coverage. Cons: Poor gravel coverage on site and roads, constant barrage of dust from vehicles driving by, loud road noise day and night, lots of sketchy looking permanent residents with run down RV's that have not moved in years, does not look like anyone ever cleans up after themselves. Next site over had old corncobs and steak bones. Very crummy site layout where your neighbor's RV was a few feet from yours with doors facing, and could not put out awnings. There were barking dogs including two roaming dogs that were manager's critters. Had to trim trees that were brushing against RV rear and side. - Scuba Rock
Aug 2018 - $38.00
Overnighter. Had a pull through with full hook ups, didn't unhook the toad. Fortunately, there were only campers in every other site, so we didn't have a problem with the hook ups being reversed. Nothing special here, but adequate for our need at the time. Verizon hotspot worked good, satellite reception was great. - therealSimpsons
Jun 2019 - $8.00
There is a long, narrow road leading to this Forest Service camp, and we were a little nervous about it, but the campground was there at the end. The rate is $15 a night but we have the senior park pass, so it was $7.50, a super good deal. There were plenty of level spaces that were long enough for our 37' motorhome, and there was a lovely little creek only a short way from our camp space. Our grandkids were delighted to play in it. even though the water was icy. Maple Grove was a delightful find that we all enjoyed very much. Don't lose heart about the narrow little road leading you through the scrub brush. You will get there eventually and be very pleased with discovering such a little gem of a campground. - Gerry Brentnall

I pulled into MG Campground just before the family rush filled it on a mid July Thursday. I was passing through, but it was obvious that this CG was a destination for family's with young children. I loved to see all the kids playing and having a good time, though I was by myself. It made it a lively, fun afternoon and early evening to see all the kids having such a good time, up and down the interior road. The shouting and laughter of the kids was music to old ears. Less thrilling was the constant drone of a generator, which gratefully ceased by eight in the evening.
New, solid tables made cooking outside easy, as well as the shade from multiple trees offered relief from the sun. No bugs, flies or mosquitos.
This is a gem of a FS CG, and if you are fortunate enough to qualify for a senior access pass, $7.50 is a bargain. No showers, electricity, and vault toilets, and if that is not an obstacle you will surely enjoy it. Thursday through the weekend seem to be the busy time, no brainer there.
I returned later in early August on a Tuesday and found the CG nearly deserted, with only 2 or 3 sites occupied. If you are arriving toward the weekend, get there early, say mid-afternoon, and you will likely get a spot. Later than that is problematical. - Corno1
Sep 2014 - $8.00
This is a gem. Road in from hwy 50 is paved but a bit rough in spots. Internal roads and sites are paved and well kept. Lots of trees as the name implies. Campground is nestled up to the bottom of a red rock cliff. Small stream running through. Not many large sites but a good mix and all have pretty good privacy. One pull through. Pit toilets were a bit smelly but clean. Price reflects senior pass rate. - oldmac
Nov 2015 - $20.00
This is an OK park for an overnight enroute. It is convenient to the freeway and to gas station, convenience store and restaurants. Not too many choices for larger motorhomes, but the hosts are pleasant and cooperative. We'll use this again in the future just for the convenience. Lot spacing is very close with some shade. Site surface is gravel. - Dynotrekker
Sep 2006 - $13.00
This is the worst park we have ever stayed in over many years of rving. The sites were extremely narrow and difficult to enter. Tree limbs hung down into sites, power boxes hanging loose, notes saying sewer does not work. No maintenance of weeds and bushes etc. RV sites right next to auto repair shop. The staff work in gas station convenience store adjoining the park. They know little or nothing about the rv park. We saw most people go back to the store for their money back and leave. When we arrived it was empty and we were able to choose the only site with acceptable power and after many attempts we were able to squeeze in the site. One plus for the Park is that the wifi worked very well. Laundry room and restrooms were grossly unacceptable. We did not feel secure and one of us always stayed with the rv. We would never stay here again and will always warn others to stay away. We paid a lower fee as they welcomed Coast to Coast members as a Good Neighbor Park. We thought we were overcharged. - twosome
May 2019 - $36.00
We stayed 3 nights at this park. The maintenance lady came over to introduce herself when we arrived. She let me know the office was in the ERA Building. This couple could not have been nicer. They even recommended a place to have our truck serviced which worked out great. We would stay here again based on their friendliness. The park is right on main street so there will be some road noise but that's mostly white noise to us - doesn't bother us. I must say the park is tight but do-able. We are newbies and we managed it. There's an empty lot between Main St and the row we were in so we pulled into that a little to get out of the site. Also when looking for this park note the sign is very small - look for the ERA building and the driveway goes behind that. - Sbriggs
Apr 2019 - $32.00
We stopped here because of snow in the passes on I70. The spaces are almost all pull through with lots of trees. Site was level, we didn't have to unhook. The staff was super friendly. All in all, and excellent rv park. - hudsonguy
Oct 2018 - $43.00
Park is located in town and close to all shopping. Pull-thru & back-ins are more than adequate. You are close to your neighbors. The park is shaded, so a dish will not work and their cable TV has very limited channels. They advertise wi-fi, but it is non-existant. You will need your own hot spot. Good overnight stop. - Piperflyer 235
Sep 2018 - $42.00
Lovely campground, in town. It's obvious that the owners take great pride in this place and enjoy making it nice for us to enjoy. Lots of green space, a lovely pool, and wide, shaded sites. Check-in was a breeze and we were escorted to our full service, pull-through site which was nice and wide and had a cement area for the picnic table. Water/Electric/Sewer all worked fine. Great cable. We did not try the WIFI as we had good Verizon signal. This KOA caters to ATV enthusiasts and folks were definitely having a good time (we do not ATV, but enjoyed learning about this hobby). Gravel doggy area. We had a great time here and would definitely stay again if in the area. - Janau NC
Apr 2019 - $30.00
Wakara 17 was only site in this park campground without sewer. Easy to find off Highway 89, interior roads easy to navigate and well marked. All reservations done online, thus the Park Office was unmanned during the week this time of year. Our reservation tag was posted on office door. Very few weekday RVs, but on the weekend the park was full. Lots to do and remember to bring your fishing pole. Do your grocery shopping in Gunnison, not Manti. Lovely golf course. Super friendly and helpful park staff. Ate a nice dinner in the restaurant. Watch for Osprey and listen for Loons! - LakeGirl
Sep 2018 - $35.00
This is a great park with a lot of things to do. Easy to access with large paved sites. Each site has its own shelter with picnic table. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. - gadawg
Apr 2018 - $25.00
Our arrival was uneventful. The park is very easy to find and very accessible. Staff was friendly and very welcoming. We had a space near the swimming beach area and the views were spectacular. The park has fishing, they rent out paddle boats and kayaks. There is even a small restaurant a very short walk away that make awesome shakes. We will definitely be back! - Todd and Karen
