Nothing fancy at all but totally worth the price for wide entrance and manuvering around the park, long level gravel spaces and wonderful views!! Quiet, peaceful, grass mown and a couple of restaurants that looked very appealing! Loved the do it yourself pay and pick a site!! We will definitely stay here again! We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Motorhome.

This was a great overnight, easy on and off I 84, but far enough away that there was no road noise. Long, level pull through with plenty of room for this big rig. Utilities all worked fine. Lovely view of valley and mountains and a spectacular night sky!
I wish RV parks were all this nice! We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Motorhome.

If you are looking for a nice, quiet campground with easy access on/off I-84 with long, level gravel pull through sites, high speed internet (30 mbps) good water pressure (it's high-make sure you use a regulator), good power, wide access roads and drop dead views across the plains, this is the place! This is a no frills campground-you check yourself in (this keeps the price down) but it was fine for us and we'll be back. New owners are working on improvements but we like it just the way it is. No long term residents and Flying J is just down the road a mile off the interstate. We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Motorhome.

I dislike bait and switch and this parking lot did just that. Touting a PA or SKP discount, when it came time for registration, the only thing on offer was a military discount of $5. Only contact with anyone there was via phone. That included when we reported the electric arcs and sparks when we disconnected. Not impressed, this one goes on our last resort list. We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Motorhome.

We are retired and travel in a 42 foot Allegro Bus with four slides towing a jeep. My husband and I much prefer a campground like this compared to those with a camp store, lots of rules and everyone crammed together on concrete pads. It had all the amenities we needed including 50amp service at some of the sites. There is one shared bathroom with a shower. You check yourself in but a staff member is right there working on their property if you need anything and came over when we pulled in to see if we needed help. It is a very dog friendly park. The views were great with nothing in front of us but miles of hills and fields. We had a long pull through site big enough for the coach and towed jeep. We almost didn't stay here because of some of the reviews but we found no problems and will definitely be back to this park when we're in the area. We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Motorhome.

Easy access off I-84. Simple self check-in. Level gravel pull thru spaces with grass surrounding them. Back-in also available. Both 30 and 50 amp available. Very peaceful and enjoyed watching birds and hawks fly overhead. We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

unattended----sort of like paying to camp in a field with power. Very rundown. Paid for 50amp, but couldn't find any. Given any other choice you might take it. We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Motorhome.

Unattended. After a bit of confusion we found the office and the envelopes to pay. Long, level pull through sites. Road noise was present but not bad.

We saw a few Killdeer, and heard owls, blackbirds and geese without really looking. We arrived late and left early.

Good place to sleep with no other options close by. Lots were very close together, gravel and dirt. We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

This was off season so no water available but we didn't mind. Super friendly hosts and accommodated our late arrival. Very level sites. Rustic farm theme and plenty of area to walk our dog. Far enough off the road so no road noise. Easy to find off the Hwy. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Motorhome.

Easy access off I-84 and far enough off the highway so there is no road noise. Self-registraion, I did not know what the Good Sam rate was, so paid the full $30. Pull-thru, gravel, very level site with beautiful vistas of the surrounding area for miles. Wonderful ranch theme, with lots of rusted tools and ranch paraphernalia. Can walk for miles. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We experienced a tremendous thunder and lightening storm. The broad vistas made the storm even more spectacular. The park's new name (Earp & James) is a result of the owners' names - Wyatt & Jessie - thus the reference to the historical characters. The owner is full of good information about Utah, the roads, places to go, etc.

This is a good overnight stop. Good 50 amp, no sewer smell like other review stated. Long gravel pull thru, did no have to unhook. Satellite and Verizon worked well. It is a self check in. Easy in and out with a 45 footer towing a SUV. There are only 5 sites with 50 amps but we were the only ones using 50 amps. Would stay here again. Perfect stop over! It's not a fancy park but it is big rig friendly, easy, no-hassle check-in, a lot of room for dogs to run, pretty views, easy access to and from interstate. We WILL stay here again. We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Motorhome.

This is an unmanned campground-you put your money (cash or check only) in a envelope and put it in a slot. But I made a reservation online (it cost me $3 more) and selected a specific site, but you just take whatever you want. We called first, left a message and never got a call back. Being Labor Day weekend, we wanted to have a reservation, but we didn't need it. The first two sites (33, 34) had the polarity reversed on the 30 amp power. Not good for electronics and some motors. We went to 31 and it was ok and the people in 32 said their site was correct too. After a while I noticed an intermittent sewer gas smell here and there. I finally realized that the reason the ground was depressed around the sewer connection must be a leak that is undermining the area and sewer gas is filtering through the ground to the surface. It was worse close to the ground. The water shut off also leaded unstoppably. This is a good location because there is nothing for many miles on this section of I-84. The sites are fairly large and level or close to level, but maintenance is spotty and not keeping up. Pretty views of the prairie and mountains abound, but perhaps only a one night stop when you are eating up miles. Since it is mellow there, if you can avoid electrical problems and sewer gas, a place perhaps to rest up. If anything goes wrong, it appears there was a button to press where you check in. We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

This CG is thoroughly flat and level in the boonies. Long pull through sites out in the sun with FHU. A few sites back-in under some trees, nicely shaded. Beautiful view for miles. Friendly owner. There was a glitch in the shower as water was ice cold. Staff was not aware until I told them the next day and then it was fixed. There is only one combo shower/bathroom for the whole park. Walked pups around the entire park on dirt trail. Initially had poor wi-fi but owner adjusted router and then it worked better. Great overnight or day or two stop for sure. I would stop there again.
