Spectacular views, swimming in nearby Virgin River, $15 a day, short walk to food and shuttle service, 50A electric . . . ok, not full hookup, but made it 4 days on our Class A water/waste tanks. Lovely. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Within easy walking distance: Zion Canyon Pub (dining/drinking), Happy Camper Market (groceries), Zion Outfitter (waterproof socks & boots for The Narrows), and Zion Shuttle Stop #1. Remember: Watchman has bathrooms but NO showers. Either ration your RV's shower and/or pay Zion Outfitters.

Sinks to wash dishes, river close by to wade in. Hammock policy is juvenile! Pump out stations x2, Some spots are too narrow due to rocks on and around driveways, Amazing views, 30 amp service. Showers are short drive or walk over the bridge hard left into local biz with pay showers, get tokens first. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful park. Nice sites with lots of shade trees. So convenient to be right there and go and come as you please without having to fight traffic getting into the park. You can walk over the pedestrian bridge into Springdale and shop or eat right there. There is a water spigot right outside the bathrooms where you can get fresh water. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

One of our favorites on the trip! Make sure to get one of the loop B riverside places, they give direct access to the slow running river to get a cooldown. Nature and scenery is beautiful, and with water and electric hookup you really have got it all. Would have liked to stay more then one night over here and would definitely stay longer next time! We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Pros: This park is located on the virgin river and many sites are right along the river. We stayed in B Loop which is RV only. Our site was right on the river. So beautiful to wake up to the sound of the river and listen to the laughter as children and adults played in the river all day. The sites were large and clean. We would have easily parked two RVs in our spot. This park is easy walking distance of the visitors center and free shuttles up the canyon and to many of the best trails. There is good recycling except there is no paper recycling. The prices are so reasonable. Cons: There are no showers in the park nor stores. However there is a free shuttle that will take you to the town of Hurricane just outside of the park that has all of these amenities. If I had it to do over again, I would go in May when there are fewer people. There were so many people that the trails were so crowded that it felt like we were at Disneyland more than a National Park. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

1) Coming and going from Zion in a motorhome is much easier if you come and go from the south entrance. Coming in from the north entrance requires getting a permit at the entrance gate and special arrangements to safely traverse the tunnel into the park from that direction.

A great place to stay in a magnificent setting. No showers, but you can get a shower at Zion Outfitters in Springdale. Note: very difficult to get reservations online, but if you arrive early between 8-10am, drive into the Park and check with the Ranger at the Campground entry kiosk to see if they have a cancellation or vacancy. There is an electric hookup at each site and water available within the camping area and at the dump station. There is a dump station. There are fire rings and cooking grills Very reasonable price, especially if you have a National Parks pass. Try the trail to Watchman. You can walk directly from the campground. Moderate difficulty, but not bad if you take it slow. Take the birdwalk on Tuesdays if you get the chance. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

Most facilities are in nearby Springdale (you don't even need to leave the park - you can take the town shuttle). There is a laundromat, showers, a number of gift and outfitter stores, good restaurants (try Pedro's Mexican), and groceries (well stocked, although on the expensive side).

Visited Zion Zion last Fall and decided to come back in Winter. Stayed at Watchman both times. Wonderful campground right inside the park. Electric only but you're inside the Park which is key. B loop was closed for construction so we were in the A loop this time. A little tighter than the B loop for big rigs but it was fine. We'll definitely be back as Zion is one of our favorite places. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Even though there was no water or sewer hookups, being inside the National Park with 50A electric made up for that and then some. Location was the key attribute when we made these reservations. We had an excellent site in B39. Our site was plenty long for our 43' coach and Jeep. The campground is clean and the volunteers keep a good watch on things throughout the day. The dump station was convenient as we stayed for 2 weeks. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Beautiful and convenient campground. We stayed at Watchman in a motor home, made reservations four months prior and loved our site. Some sites are more level than others but we had no problem. The views are spectacular and it's within walking distance to the visitors center and shuttle buses. We got both verizon and t mobile phone and internet. It was very quiet in the evening , we were toward the back area of loop b. We will stay here the next time we come to zion. B20 had a wonderful view of the mountains. This is one of the nicer National Park campgrounds we have stayed in. Loop A has paved sites with nice red pea gravel sitting areas. The restrooms look modern and were kept very clean. There are a wide variety of sites, some large enough for 40' coaches. Sites are fairly close to each other. The biggest plus factor is location. You are close to the Visitor Center and shuttles. Staying in the park allows you to avoid the long lines to enter each morning. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Oscar's Grill in town was excellent for dinner. Springdale pricing is high for food and groceries. There are supermarkets in Hurricane.

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend in the "B" loop. The "B" loop really needs to close down for a year for a complete renovation. The sites are nothing but dirt outlined with dead trees. The ants were horrible - literally everywhere. We were fortunate to be camped next to a group that loved climbing up to the top of the rocks above our site and screaming tarzan sounds to their friends for a couple of hours each evening. Such a disappointing national park campground experience. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

This was one of the nicest campgrounds I have ever stayed in. The sites were spacious, well apart from one another, and ours backed onto a river. I did book it a full 6 months prior to our trip. The bathrooms were clean, although there were no showers on site, there are pay showers in town which is within walking distance (this was the only reason it did not receive a 10). Very convenient location, close to visitor center and shuttle bus stop into canyon. Nice views of surrounding mountains from most sites. Sites were fairly generous. We had 30 amp service. Perhaps nicest toilet facilities of any National Park campground I have ever been in. Very clean and attractive. Our site has some restricted view of mountains due to trees. Adjacent site and several sites across road would have been perfect. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

We managed a last minute stay of 1 night since I hadn't booked in advance. We loved the campground and our site was spacious The views from the campground are great. Site was gravel with a fire pit and picnic table. You can walk into Springdale from the campground. The shuttles inside Zion were great and very convenient. Managed to get OTA tv signal and decent Verizon service. We would stay here again. We camped at Watchman Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.
