Way out in the woods, far from traffic and the hub bub! Lots of families enjoying the lake. Great relaxing park especially if you like to fish or burn a fire and sit around! Site was not very level. Had to really hike the front end and left side to level coach. They do have a dump station. We camped at Lake A. Willis Robertson in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nice, clean, quiet. Mostly all shaded spacious sites. Only one bath house so on major holidays beware. The county run facility is top notch for county facilities. If you have a pusher style or a monster 5th wheel, you might want to reconsider as the 10 mile trip to the facility is twisty narrow county road. Pool is exceptional and the fishing lake is NICE. We camped at Lake A. Willis Robertson in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Electric is 30a only. Water pressure is 10psi. Hardly enough to was dishes let alone take a shower. Water pressure in the bathhouses is strong. No Wi-Fi. AT&T Cell Phone is very weak.

AT&T Air Card low data signal strength. Verizon 4G LTE Air Card surprising good signal Strength. No Cable. Roads getting to the park is a bit difficult. Narrow and windy. Not signed enough to make it easy. Sites are grass or gravel but not level. Stacked two 2x8 to get close to level. Site length of site 56 is long and plenty of room around for awnings and slides. Getting to some sites is confusing due to the way the site markings and interior roads are laid out. Restrooms old but look clean. Didn't see a Laundry.

No Long term tenants. Park was almost empty. DirecTV Satellite is accusable in many but not all places. 50% Discount for Golden Age Passport. Payment is with check or cash only. I would stay here again if in the area, but water pressure was so low making it unpleasant. Water comes in from the water reservoir behind the campground and is only gravity fed. Pressure in smaller sites is much higher. We camped at Lake A. Willis Robertson in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed 4 days at Lake Robertson campground. To make reservations, you must call, then send 1 night's deposit by check. No credit cards accepted at the park. It is an attractive campground that is clean and well kept. The bathhouse was clean with plenty of hot water. There is also a laundry room with deep sink. The rangers and camp host were very friendly and helpful. The gravel roads are well kept and the pads are about as level as I've seen. There is a large swimming pool, and lots of trails throughout the park, most around a mile long. There is one that goes around the edge of the lake with benches at fishing areas and lots of trash cans that keeps things clean. The lake has fishing and boats can be rented (no motors). The biggest problem I have with the park is the condition of the lake. The lake is spring fed and crystal clear, but with large algae blooms and lots of submerged plants that extend from the lake bottom to the surface from about the 10’ depth to the shore. With all of the plants, there is no way to fish from the shore. You must rent a boat to go into the middle of the lake if you hope to catch anything. Received no OTA TV signals. Phone service was OK with only 2 bars on Verizon data service. We camped at Lake A. Willis Robertson in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park with lots of trees. When you call, make sure to give them the size of your rig as they only have a few that will accommodate big rigs. There are a few trees you need to watch for, but we were able to get pass them. There are some mountain trails and a trail that goes around the lake. The pool looked clean but closes after Labor Day. It's very quiet and peaceful. Lexington is about 12 miles and there is a lot to see there. Make sure you get the visitor's guide. We camped at Lake A. Willis Robertson in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great little campground tucked away in the mountains northwest of Lexington. The campsites are pretty nice. Most are level and some have grass. What the office told me was that the campsites where getting a makeover next year. The sites are about average size with a couple that are very large. The bathhouse was always clean, but small for the number of campsites. The pool was nice and has a lifeguard, but this is an extra charge. The lake is beautiful and has hiking trails around it. We camped at Lake A. Willis Robertson in a Travel Trailer.

This park is located on the south side of Lexington approximately 30 minutes from Natural Bridge. The park is exceptionally clean and area is very wooded/natural. The campground is not on the water, but the lake is a very short walk away. All the sites have water and electric and there is a dump station on site. The staff at the park were extremely friendly as were all the campers in the area. We have visited Natural Bridge a few times now, and Lake Robertson is by far the best campground in the area! I would have given the park a 10, but there isn't much of a camp store and the sites do not have sewer. We camped at Lake A. Willis Robertson in a Travel Trailer.
