If you are looking for a great little park on a beautiful but small lake. This is the place for you. Now a few words of caution. Big rigs will not be able to get into it. One review says a 35 foot fifth wheel made the turn down the hill into the park. He was probably a very seasoned driver. The road from downtown Pulaski goes through a residential area that goes up a big winding hill and the road is very narrow. Once you get past the residential area it's another 6 miles to the campground at the most 35 mph. AT&T cell service is none existent but I'm told that Verizon works sometimes. Obviously there is no WIFI. The park has about 2 dozen Canadian geese year round and they are noisy and very messy, pooping everywhere. Another issue is that some of the locals that come in for the weekend and bring their dogs do not leash them. We found some of these dogs are big and act aggressive. They also do not clean up after them either. So if you want to stay here do it Monday and leave Thursday or Friday. We liked the park and the restrooms were clean and the staff friendly. This lake has a boat launch area but only trolling motors are allowed. They are limited on large campsites and you cannot make reservations. It is a first come first serve park. When we were there it is cash only. Outside of the no cell or WIFI we enjoyed our 4 night stay here. Our site was long enough for our 32 foot trailer and crewcab F250. It was a gravel site but pretty level. We camped at Gatewood Park & Reservoir in a Travel Trailer.

This park is beautiful especially during the week when they have fewer campers. Only 5 people using it for most of the week we were here. Locals fill it up pretty good on the weekends. Lots of small campers and tents. The park is about 30 minutes from any stores or services. That 30 minute drive from Pulaski is on roads that are pretty narrow. It would be tough in many spots to pass another larger RV without slowing to a crawl (if at that). Just before you get to the campsites, is a very steep left turn and you need to take care not to run into a ditch. Our 5th wheel is 32 feet and someone with a 35 foot 5th wheel made it in also. I'm told they don't get many motorhomes due to length. All that being said, I think we liked the park more than any other we have been in. It's a beautiful place. We camped at Gatewood Park & Reservoir in a Fifth Wheel.

Because we live nearby, we have camped here many times. It's a beautiful and peaceful campground that is pretty much out in the middle of nowhere. The sites are generally spacious and level, and include a concrete pad, fire ring and picnic table. There is one bathhouse in the campground which is very old but is adequately clean. Metal fishing boats are available to rent for a small charge. There is a playground for the kids but no swimming area or other amenities. Although it's a lovely campground, unless you enjoy fishing there's really not much to do here but enjoy the scenery. We camped at Gatewood Park & Reservoir in a Travel Trailer.

This is a real pretty CG right on the reservoir. Recently re-modeled. It's about a 6+ mile drive outside of the town (2-lane road)But worth the drive! It is more of a "destination", rather than an "overnight" stop due to being about a half-hour drive from I-81, we'll go back! We camped at Gatewood Park & Reservoir in a Travel Trailer.
