Great camp ground, very clean and well kept. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of room for 36 foot 5th wheel, easy pull in and out. Plan on returning more this summer. - Brooks F
May 2012 - $15.00
There are 8 RV sites that are very narrow. Campers with larger slide outs may not be able to use their awning. The utilities are in odd places. The tent sites are pretty private. This could be a great park with some attention to the RV sites. - ClackCampers

Stayed in a cabin. Bed was ok. Very small fridge! No stove. Limited coffee! View was outstanding! Place was VERY clean. - mudhound
Oct 2019 - $52.00
We stayed in Burson. Very, very nice! Beautiful drive in. Spacious, level, stoned, shaded sites. We got in late and had to leave early so didn't get to explore much, but we will be back. - Travlin Mill3rs
Sep 2019 - $45.00
Camp Burson is actually outside the park entrance. Neat, clean. We were not state residents so extra $5 for site. I felt it was a bit overpriced since we could not take advantage of our free park admission. We were warned of an extremely tight turn on the park road, not recommended for units over 30'. - MsLucy

We've camped here multiple times and love it! It's honestly one of our favorites. The campsites are a great size, not too close to each other, but not too spread out. The camp hosts have always been great as well. Most of the campsites have a great amount of shade and the campground is generally quiet and undisturbed. Lake passes are included, and although it's a small lake, the swimming is great. There's plenty of beach space, the depths are good for kids, and overall it's great. One of the things we really love about this park though is it's small size. Because of this, you can walk everywhere and enjoy nature the whole time. I'm not a fan of having to constantly get in and out of the car, so this is a huge plus. All in all, if you can stay here, I highly recommend it. It's a small, intimate park, where you can enjoy nature and escape for a weekend or week. - Tyler Johnson

This is a very unique campground. There are many campers here who rent for the full 7 months the campground is open. They also have a few other "monthly" sites and "nightly" sites. We were looking for a place to stay for a month so it was perfect for us. The charge for the month was $410. 67 plus electric. For an extended monthly stay like we wanted it is a great place and great value. The owner and manager were both very friendly and helpful. The "regulars" we met who have year round sites were all very friendly and they take care of their sites .This is a beautiful campground along the North Fork of the Holston River. The scenery doesn't get much better than this. I should also mention that they have 27 large sites right on the river with water and power which are great for tents or small campers or pop ups We had a Class A pulling a small car in and had no trouble on the road in although it is narrow in places. Certainly for an extended stay this is a great campground. - discus277
Jul 2019 - $38.00
Stayed one night. Lots of permanent sites. Scary road to the campground. Hookups were ok except for power. Between 105 and 110volts. Couldnt run A/C , surge puotector kept cutting it off. No other sites available. Lots of loud kids and adults. Not a safe feeling place. The office was filthy. I will not go back. - Liledoun
Jul 2017 - $36.00
We arrived late in the day at the beginning of a weekend. The road in was narrow and right next to the river. A little scary for the passenger when meeting an outgoing car. Fortunately the road was not busy that time of day. Campground was almost full; think we got the last site because someone's reservation was not honored. Since we arrived after hours had to find someone to check in. We were in a pull-thru spot; so did not have to unhook our tow. Lots of weekend campers and sites were very close together. - Texas E-S
Sep 2019 - $30.00
The park doesn’t have many amenities but the people running it are extremely nice. It is very well lit and feels like a nice place to stay. There are also apartments at the park and the tenants are very nice. We stayed for a week while visiting our granddaughter at Emory college and liked it. - redfish122
Sep 2018 - $20.00
There are several campsites, back to back, with 30 amp electric service and water. While there is no WiFi regular reception for Hot Spots was strong. There is a laundry room with 2 washers and 1 dryer - good price: $1.25. There is a swimming pool but the water was green and not open. There is a camp store with quite a selection of junk food. This is a nice place to stop on the road if tired for the day, but not a destination as such... not bad for the money.
Not much to do here for Labor Day weekend - no sidewalks or paths for hiking, and roads too narrow to ride bicycles. No events noticed in either Marion or Chilhowie (the 2 nearest towns). Used the time to clean the inside of the rig (bathroom and floor), defrost the frig, transfer fotos from the cell to the computer, and played games on the computer... nothing else to do... - UncleSpot
May 2016 - $20.00
Convenient place for an overnight when traveling I-81. Most sites seem to have 30 amp only. They are really 2 backing sites end to end. It would have to be fairly empty to be able to pull thru. Pay internet is available through Xfinity at $7 per day. Verizon cell service is very strong so we used that. Mostly clear of trees so satellite works well. May have some power issues as the 5th wheel next to us was plugged into our outlet with a long extension. Since nomone was home, I moved his connection to his pedestal and used our marked outlet. - glenthompson
