The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The space we were assigned was a drive-thru near the restrooms as we requested. The space was clean with the facilities in good repair. There was ample room for our Teardrop Trailer and Jeep. In addition to water, electrical, and cable TV, a picnic table and fire pit were provided. There was ample space for us to erect our canopy. We had very friendly neighbors to which we enjoyed sharing conversation. We used the laundry facilities, which were a short walk away from our site. Lastly, we visited the beach, which again, was a short walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the future. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Although the Campground is out in the "wilderness", using a GPS to navigate to shopping and/or restaurants, etc. was extremely easy to get to the activity site and back to North Landing RV Resort. Lastly, the RV Park has events scheduled, places to walk or ride a bike, and a play yard for the kids.

Overall Rating:

This is a great campground especially for kids. There is so much to do from mini golf, tennis, pickle ball, basket ball, batting cages, and more. Right on the river so great fishing in the canals and a great beach on the river for swimming and kayaking. Not overly busy during our stay however the staff had many activities planned and was extremely attentive and friendly. Sites are level and they were putting fresh gravel and leveling them during our stay. Some sites have more room than others but overall they are plenty spacious. Bath houses are individual with a shower, toilet, and sink. Bath houses looked new and I never found one dirty. Great camp store with fair prices. Definitely plan on returning. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a tough park to rate ... the biggest fault is that this park is quite far from Virginia Beach/Norfolk and shopping in general. It is roughly an hour to Norfolk and 50 minutes to the beach. It is 40 minutes to a Walmart or grocery store. There is plenty to do within an hour each way. The park itself is clean and "woodsy". Power was fine but water connection is below ground (in a box) and difficult to connect. Bath/shower(s) are clean and relatively new. Laundry is clean and new. Sites are spacious enough for a 45ft. coach and tow. Our site was on a road that required backing up the entire road (no loop at end). In short, a nice place but a bit remote. The GPS had difficulty with the street address and the website has no coordinates or written directions .... all websites should include directions. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed in the 300s and loved it. Site was perfect, clean bathrooms and showers! Friendly staff. We went for Super Bowl and they served beer, liquor, wings and pizza for all the guests in the lounge. It was incredible. Get food and beer before you arrive. 30 minutes from things like Walmart, Grocery stores etc. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We were pleasantly surprised by this park, which is in the middle of nowhere, and on the border of North Carolina. You will find all types of camping here, and the park has a nice store, laundry, and clean bath facilities, as well as WiFi. Very friendly staff. If you need supplies, it's a short drive north to civilization. Along that two-lane road going north is Bonney's seafood market--we called a day ahead and missed out on the steamed crabs, though we did take a day trip into North Carolina to satisfy our seafood cravings. We chose a back-in site on one of the canals, and next time we will get a pull-through space in the middle of the park, which is shaded. It was hot! Our spot had no shade, so it was unbearable to sit outside in the afternoon, but the evenings were pleasant, and the views were beautiful. Lots of activities for the family. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Bonney & Sons Seafood is in Pungo, a short drive north from NLB. If you want steamed crabs, call well in advance, as they can take only so many orders. However, you can buy the crabs and steam them yourself. Walmart and other stores are farther north if you need supplies.

Very nice campground. The new owners have really put in a lot of amenities and the maintenance is very good. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. We are normally state park campers so the sites were a little close for us but I don't think they were bad at all for a commercial campground. Friends stayed in a studio cottage and were very happy with it. Campground was about 1/2 full during a May weekend and was surprisingly quiet. I'm sure it would be louder when full. Lots of activities for the kids; definitely a family place. We will definitely return when we are looking for a fun place to camp with friends and family. WOW! The owners and managers have invested a lot of time and effort into upgrading this park. The power pedestals are all new and easy to see. The bathhouses are all nice, clean and new. Even on a BUSY weekend when every site was filled the bathhouses and other facilities were clean. They had lots to do for kids and adults. The staff that they hired are all super friendly and helpful. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

Ok so this park is worth its value as it stands alone; the sites are decently spread apart, they do separate the "full timers" (migrant workers) from the transients, its a big park and was very empty while we were here on May 12 weekend. We were in site 611, which we had chosen on the map ahead of time. What we didn't know was this site and the others on the point had NO cable; and as an avid golfer the Players Championship was on and couldn't watch! They did offer i could move, but once you're all hooked up you really don't want to move again. Water connections are a bit odd, you have to lift off a cast grille which was flush with the ground to get at a recessed connection, bit odd and could be a hazard if not careful. The main problem of this park is its location; the address says Virginia Beach BUT you are at least a half hour south (actually close to the NC border) AND the road to get here is about 25 miles of VERY NARROW/no shoulder to peak of roads!! I am a very experienced driver with my 1 ton truck and 41' 5th wheel; but this was the most stressful stretch I have ever driven in over 50,000 miles of pulling this combo! If you're squeamish about narrow roads? Don't come down this stretch to this park. Having said all this I wont penalize the park in my review of the road. One other thing, they advertise waffle breakfast at the clubhouse; we went there on the first morning and were told they weren't doing it that day because the cook wasn't feeling well. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Really Liked this RV Park. The sites had a lot of room and a nice beach area. They have a lot to do for all ages . We stayed in site 312 which has water front view . Nicely done ! Well stocked Store and very helpful and friendly people . There is a real nice store 4 1/2 miles from the camp. We will return in the spring for sure . I would recommend North Landing Beach and RV resort to anyone looking for a great place to stay. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

I would give a 8-10 rating, except this is NOT in Virginia Beach! It is 40 minutes from VA Beach out in the middle of nowhere on narrow country roads! It is only 10 mi from the NC border. It is about 25 mi south of VA Beach. It has a beach that is on the bay. It is a very nice facility with brand new bath houses, nice pool, tennis court, basketball court, game room, workout room, bikes, store etc. I love the campground, just not the location of it. So if you want peace and quiet and to stay on site for everything, then this is the place. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

The park is under major construction which will add additional sites and amenities. When we stayed we did encounter a little bit of construction traffic but everyone was friendly and accommodating.
The sites were wide and left you room to easily park your RV and set up to enjoy the outdoors.
The campground has it's own beach/waterfront area which is immaculate. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

They are in process of construction improvements, so we stayed despite constant dump truck traffic. The site was not well maintained. Grass/dirt site was full of weeds growing through the gravel/dirt, the surrounding grass very much unmowed with knee-high weeds. The sewer pipe was almost a foot off the ground, defeats the purpose of gravity emptying your tanks. Too far out of town (Virginia Beach), about 40 minute drive to the main beach area. This is an attractive park and it appears that during the "season" there are many activities for adults and kids. The riverfront was nice. The utilities were good although the Wi-Fi was unreliable. There is occasional daytime noise from Navy jets.

There are convenience stores closer but major shopping, WalMart, food lion, are 17 miles north. The roads in the area are relatively narrow with NO shoulder. It is a pleasant rural area. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

An overall outstanding campground! Please disregard any and all old reviews for this website, because this campground has different management from a few years ago. My family and I were very impressed with the very clean, air conditioned bath house, very friendly staff, shaded lots, clean swimming pool and access to a small beach on the North Landing River, upper Currituck Sound. The campground is also a short ride to the Pungo Strawberry Festival. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We called for reservations several months ahead and stayed during the off season. There were not that many campers there. The park is beautiful with a nice beach and great views. The onsite maintenance and office staff were very friendly and nice. It's off the beaten path but not that far. The only problems were the laundry was closed for renovations the entire 2 months we were there (the nearest coin laundry is 20 minutes away and very small), they had several campers with excessive barking dogs (I mean all day while the owners at work) even though they make you sign a separate pet form and the biggest issue is there is no onsite management. All questions require a phone call to an out of state manager. I had trouble getting answers to questions before we got there and during our stay all questions required a phone call. We did enjoy our stay and will come back. We camped at North Landing Beach Riverfront Campground and Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
