Nice park, active casino, although they do not offer a shuttle service from the RV Park to the casino. A train goes by periodically in the back of the lot, but it's doable. Easy access off Hwy 20. Have stayed here before and would stay again. We camped at Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Our second time staying here. A simple no frills, no trees no shade park behind the casino, but has full hook-ups, great cable. Pull through and back-ins, but reservations highly recommended. Remodeling inside is complete and they added a 24/7 full menu café, a food court, a deli/snack bar and a steak house. We camped at Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Never having been to the area before, we didn't realize how few options there are in the area. There are lots of wonderful state parks on Whidbey Island, but our length (35 ft travel trailer) makes those options a problem. While there is power at sites in the parks, we are traveling in October and reservations are not accepted. It's first come first served. We were able to get 5 days at the casino, but the weekend was not available. We had to leave on Friday. The five days we were at the casino, it was perfect. The sites are long enough and wide enough. There is a picnic table (which we didn't use because it was cold), and GREAT WIFI. Some of the best we have ever experienced in an RV park. Having the casino close was good for a restaurant meal in the sports bar, but mostly we cooked in the RV. We were able to travel all over the region from here. We were able to find another private park closer to a class I was going to take at the Pacific Northwest Art School to move to, but now we have to deal with no phone service (Verizon) at this park. We camped at Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We were able to visit attractions in this area easily from this casino. The highlight was the Hibulb Cultural Center that explains how the Tulalip tribes were treated and transformed to farmers from hunter/gatherers. It also explains how they retained their native culture while peacefully adapting to the changes forced on them. A wonderful museum! Well done. Plan to spend at least an hour and a half.

Due to early departure from Canada due to the wildfires, we had to stay 2 days at the casino. Everything else booked. Hard to pay $35 when the casino takes so much more. Isolated as this is, not likely you won't lose some here. Sites are great, full HU, well maintained. We camped at Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

After reading some of the comments in previous years, namely the extremely negative review done in June 2014 we were somewhat sceptical about booking at Swinomish. Access to the casino rv park was well marked and easy to navigate with wide access lanes. When we arrived I asked the front desk staff what the power voltage was and they were told by phone with maintenance that it was 30 amp and 120 volts. This was confirmed when I plugged in my surge guard power protector and all green lights showed. We were told to go to our site, which was shown on the park rv map and settle in then come back and register, which was reassuring as often you have paid only to find out the site looks better on the web page than in reality. Water, pressure showed just under 40 psi so there was no concern about incurring damage to our rv's plumbing system. Power, cable, water, and sewer were all available at the rear of our unit, which is consistent with any other park layout. We found the park very well maintained, garbage was picked up twice daily and the sprinklers came on before dawn to water the grass. Our site had two picnic tables that we were able to position where we wanted without any difficulty. The walkway from the rv park to the casino was well light with pedestal post lights and a paved walkway. Yes, the park is situated next to train tracks and the train using those tracks moved slowly not creating much noise. We heard the train whistle each day once in the late afternoon and never during the evening or night. We stayed for three nights and would stay again if in the area. We camped at Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The park has an overflow area for those folks wanting to stay in the area but dry camp and is spacious and level. This is a great place to use as a home base while exploring Burlington, LaConnor, and Anacortes. Check out Anthony's seafood restaurant in Anacortes, excellent food.

CAUTION, use your water pressure regulator. I didn't at first and gave my pant leg a bath when I flushed the toilet. Back in 30 amp sites only $22, 50 amp and pull through $25. Great value for level gravel sites with grass between and a table with water, power, sewer, cable and Wi-Fi. Construction is complete so park is very quiet. Add in the casino with good eats and you have a winner. Don't forget to get a players card, even if as is our case we don't gamble because this gets you discounts in the eateries. Overall Rating:

We found this park to be a good stop for a night or two. While the sites are very basic gravel/grass with some sprinkler issues (read mud), the bay view and the adjacent good food and service at the casino kind of made up for it. Our clubhouse sandwiches came in at about five pounds and lasted four days for $9.95! Dinner was great as well, with reasonable wine prices. The adjacent fuel stop is also Indian owned and we found fuel to be 20 cents less than other stations. Other guests here said this was the lowest priced diesel within 100 miles! Boats go by the nearby grassy beach area. Don’t worry about the train tracks as only one local freight train goes by each day. We planned on taking the drive south down highway 20 and the ferry to Port Townsend but had to turn around. We did not have a reservation and the wait time at 11AM was stretched until 9:30 PM! Book ferries ahead of time! We camped at Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here after we got off the ferry. It was 9:30 pm and we only paid $10 in the overflow parking. Was perfect since we were leaving early in the morning and it was secured. They also have a gas station, really convenient for us. Will stay here on our back to Vancouver Island before going on the ferry. So glad we did. We stayed here during the Tulip Festival and were pleasantly surprised. This is a great rv park with excellent free WiFi, level sites, security cameras, paved roads, good cable and was clean. The low rates are an incentive to spend a few bucks at the Casino but that is part of the fun. (The Casino is clean, well ventilated and appears to be well run.) Some good comedy acts appear here. The Casino also has good food at reasonable prices. You get a discount book for the Casino at check-in with discounts for food, gambling, etc. We enjoyed our stay and will return again. Great park, clean, level sites. Well kept lawn, no trees. Just a walk across the green belt to the casino and restaurant. Nice views of the water. Staff was friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay if you want to base yourself to take in the local attractions. Cheap rates! Self contained units only, as there are no showers available to guests, and the nearest rest rooms are in the casino. We camped at Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
