Nice small park in a heavily forested area. All the RV sites are back-in's. We had site 12 which is probably the largest and easiest site to back in to. I backed in pretty far in order to get the rig nice and level without the use of leveling blocks but my sewer hose wouldn't reach the back tank drain. If you want to get away from it all this is the place to be. The trees block the view of the sky so no satellite access. No over the air TV either. The Verizon signal shows maybe 1 bar. The wifi is pretty good though. The 30 Amp service is wired correctly. Most of the sites look like they can handle big rigs with room to spare. It rained while we were here so the forest floor got muddy. Look for the sewer fitting underneath a rock. It's location was not obvious to us. We would come back again. - RVRenter
Jun 2019 - $55.00
Sometimes limited with our ~30' travel trailer but not here! Backed into site 7 and we felt like we were part of the forest. Great to see a park that designed around trees to keep it natural and not clear cut to maximize spots. Our sewer dump stuck up maybe 6" above the ground, throw in an elbow for your sewer hose and it made for a challenging dump. It is less than 1 mike from the western entrance to Mt Rainier National Park which made it easy to go there multiple days. Zandy at front office was very helpful and friendly. Only one washer and dryer but didn't effect us! - Mike RV Traveler
Sep 2018 - $55.00
Nice little park. 30amp sites only. Had a very nice back-in site that was easy to get our 45' MH into. Satellite would not hook-up due to the beautiful trees all around and through the park. Wifi was adequate. No Verizon signal but there is a phone available in the lounge you can use to call anywhere in the US. Owners very nice and supportive. This is the way to see Mt Rainier! - SHIPM8

Jun 2018 - $1.00
Camping the way we like it--quiet and one with nature. These sites are free with the WA Discover Pass ($35/year). Lots of big sites that would fit our 42.5' toy hauler with no problem. We had the place mostly to ourselves, with only a couple of others coming in during the day to ride horses, and two others camping during our stay. It was nice and quiet. Lots of trees, so for those who need solar, it wouldn't work. An easy drive to Mt. Rainier Natl Park. - RVerFamily
Oct 2016 - $1.00
We stayed here for a week and were quite comfortable. It is a pretty campground. There were two other campers our first night but we were alone for the remainder of the week. There was a closed area with back-ins and the main section with both back-ins and pull throughs; lots of room for big rigs. There are pit toilets and a water spigot where you enter but no other utilities. The weather did not help but lots of trees so not solar friendly. The entrance off the highway is hard to spot and the entry road had many sizeable potholes but the actual campground roads were fine. There are some trails leading out of the campground for both horses and people but it was hunting season so we stuck with the trails in the National Park. No Verizon. - PBuds
Sep 2016 - $1.00
If you're ok with no hookups, this is an excellent choice. Pit toilets. We were there midweek and only two other campers, guess total number of sites 20 to 25. Maybe different on week ends. Washington parks pass fee area but didn't see a pay slot otherwise. Large pull through sites, level, we were able to get satellite but probably not at most sites, cell service unavailable. Had some concerns prior to arriving about road if there was rain but no problem, compacted gravel roads and sites. 2 miles from Ashford and pretty near Rainier NP. - abqnm

Jul 2018 - $20.00
This is a NPS campground in the Mt Rainier National Park. It is a 20 minute drive from Paradise and a 5-7 drive from the Longmire historic area. There are numerous hiking trails in the area. This campground was created a long time ago before big trailers and RV's. The sites are small, though there are plenty of pull throughs for RV's. There is not much privacy either. Still, the area is scenic, the facilities are decent and it is a great park to visit. - Dan C
Jul 2017 - $20.00
Sites were gravel, pull through sites faced right way. Forrested, near hiking trails, easy to reach Longmire, Paradise areas of park - jmholton
Aug 2015 - $10.00
Campground is in the Southwest corner of the park. Spaces are reasonably separated but most are pretty tight and the loop road is narrow with many trees to avoid. Be careful in a bigger rig. this is a pretty basic campground typical of the NFS. Has water and restrooms but that is about it. Can't beat the location if you are exploring Mt. Rainer from the SouthWest side. - DennisA

The RV park is really a parking lot full of weeds, with a HoneyPot/Port-a-Potty right in the middle. Some of the electrical outlets would not work. They have run down trailers and truck campers that look like they are permanent. The employees and owners yell at each other when new campers come in, because there is not enough room for their cars and the campers. Each spot has barely enough room to put out your slides, and no room for a picnic table or outdoor furniture. It is more like a parking lot. Even though this park is right outside the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park, I highly recommend finding another location. We left a day early and forfeited the cost, just to get out of there. The owners that run the Gateway Inn & Cabins, also run the RV Park. - DonnaDean

This campground is mainly for those that are fishing. There really is nothing to do at this RV park as well as no cell phone service. There are no showers. They tell you to use the event center in town and those bathrooms are porta potties. The cable TV is very poor as a lot of the channels are not viewable due to the condition of the cable in the campground. Most of the campers here are long term. I will not stay here again. There are others in the area that are more suitable for RV's. - Cactus Pete

No showers, Porta Potties. Sites very close together (as in parking lot). Staff friendly. Beautiful lake. - Uh-Oh

We stayed 8 nights in a 40' fifth wheel. The only reason that I didn't rate this a 10 is that the standard RV sites do not have sewer hookup. However, we arrived just after the camphost had left and the on-site owners were gracious enough to give us the host site without us even asking. They were so nice and helpful. This is a small park with a good mix of RV and tent sites. This was our kind of park with towering old growth trees all over the place and ferns and moss etc. If we were ready to settle down and be camp hosts this would be the place! All roads were in great shape. The bathroom was kept very clean. Property is on a small creek but it wasn't running vigorously during this time of the year. Please note that the park is for sale so things may be changing especially if one of the big RV Park Management companies takes over and adds sites. That would be a shame. - Moe and Flo are on the go
Jul 2018 - $40.00
We visited Eastcreek during a hot spell when temperatures ranged between the upper 80s and lower 90s. Imagine our shock when we were handed a list of rules which included the statement, highlighted in pink, "No air conditioners or generators allowed in the park." In 5 years of travel (approximately half time) I have never seen a prohibition on using your AC, nor was it posted prior to arrival. And in the middle of the summer near Mt. Rainer there is no option to say 'no thanks' and go to a different campground. Also be aware that this campground does not have sewer hookups, only a dump station. Your camping fee allows one use of the dump at no charge when you arrive, or when you leave. If you need to use the dump a second time that is an additional $5. The base rate of $40 a night is rather steep considering it only buys partial hookups and WiFi that works only near the front sites. None of the common discounts are available, everyone pays $40 (or more for large families). On the plus side most of the sites were extremely spacious and well separated, picture a State or Federal campground for appearance. Shading ranged from partial shade to almost 100% in the shade of very large pines. The host was polite and helpful. - JackSchmotzer
Jul 2018 - $40.00
This is a wonderful small park maintained with love and attention to detail. The bathrooms are old but spotless and there are no sewer hook ups so not really used by large RVs. There is a state park feel to the campground with big heavily forested sites. It is close to Alder Lake State Park and Mount Ranier and on a summer weekend you will want to be at both parks early in the morning. We were here for a 4 day weekend and intended to spend most of the time in Mt Ranier but our 4 year old grandson loved the cold clear creek so much we decided to spend most of our time in Eastcreek campground. We also enjoyed going into Elbe for some homemade ice cream and craft beer. At one point we took a decibel reading it read "same as a very quiet library." I was so thankful for Eastlake Campground because it really was a relaxing refuge for our family. - travelnurse

Eagles Nest RV Park now offers LP Gas (Propane) $1.90/ gal. They are building a community covered outdoor kitchen and eating area along with sites for tent campers. Soon, each RV space will have storage units for long term stays. Lastly, they put a range extender antenna/amplifier so the whole park can have internet access. - Thor Pinnicacle
Dec 2015 - $13.00
Being that I'm a full-time RV'er, I found that Eagles Nest RV Park has the best view of the Alder Lake and the mountains in the background, so I decided to stay long term. The park is under new management and the full-timers there are very friendly and easy to get along with. The Coin-op laundry room has two front loader washers, and two dryers, the restrooms/shower rooms are very spacious and are handicap ready.
The RV park also has wifi. it's strong enough to stream Netflix and YouTube videos. The only draw back I can think of is... Well... I haven't been there long enough to notice any. - Thor Pinnicacle
Oct 2014 - $28.00
The staff is very nice. However, the sites are short. We were barely able to fit our 35 foot motorhome in the site. As one of the other reviewers mentioned there was a lot of dog poo on the ground. There looks to be a lot of long term RVs there. It is right next to the highway, so there was a lot of highway noise, especially with all the logging trucks going by. There does not seem to be a lot of options though when visiting Mount Ranier. - Super Symmetry

Just spent a couple days to do some fishing in the wonderful Cowlitz River area. No sewer at our site, but they have recently added sewer to several sites. They do have a Dump station, $5! Owners are great people, will help in any way they can! - Dennis H
Sep 2018 - $30.00
At first I was hesitant because I couldn't find a website or a lot of information online about this campground. I'm glad we gave it a try! The lady owner came out and greeting us as we were driving up. When we were leaving she came out and thanked us for staying and wished us a safe trip. She was very friendly and let us choose the site we wanted. We told her we wanted satellite reception so she pointed us to the ones that would accommodate that. We were in a 38' class A motorhome and choose one of the grassy drive-in sites that faced the highway. The campground wasn't very busy when we were there so we had a lot of privacy. There wasn't anyone on either side so our site felt extra-large. There was a bit of highway noise during the day, but that was expected when we selected a site next to the road. Our site didn't have sewer, but there is a dump station for $5. The price of $30/night was very reasonable; but please note they only take cash or check. We did get a little scratch on the side of our coach from driving through the campground because of all the large trees. You just have to be extra careful. The atmosphere, trees, and grass throughout was very nice. - AZandBC
Aug 2018 - $20.00
Really enjoyed this campground. The manager let us choose our site, so we got one with some sun and some shade, perfect for our Dish Satellite. Sites are large and well-spaced. Washers and dryers were older, but they got the job done and weren't overly expensive. The manager is very helpful and tries to make sure guests are happy. AT&T cell phone and Verizon MiFi worked well in this campground. We would stay here again if in the area. - Bobbi1948

Very interesting and confusing Park. The services are a mishmash through the entire park, with 50 Amp service available in some (very sunny) areas, but not with sewer (except 4 spots), 30 Amp in most spots, water in all spots. Gravel roads in upper Park, but "The Woods" evidently floods each year, and looked very dusty with water, a few 30 Amp sites and no sewer. The person working at the desk on arrival was quite slow and not very helpful. Fortunately, we knew which site we wanted, as we'd been told by friends who were already there. WiFi is $1 per day per device and quality really isn't worth it. Structures are dated but adequate and clean. Landscaping is adequate, except for overhanging limbs in sites and over roads. We requested some branches be trimmed due to scraping on our 12 foot roof and awning, but they didn't get around to it. No AT&T service, but friends had T-Mobile with adequate service. - DocWMB
Jul 2018 - $1.00
Took my family for the weekend. Took a day trip to Mt Rainer. Park host was friendly. The pool was indoor and good size. They had changing rooms and showers. The executive golf course was fun. Greens were in good shape. Fairways were a little baked. Nice grounds to walk your dog. Some amenities could use some maintenance but overall a good place to stay. Full hook up areas are a little tight between spots but are pull through and plenty of room for you vehicle. One way through the full hook up area. If arriving after 5pm you find a spot and check in next morning. - Mark Rowe
Jul 2018 - $4.00
Membership plus affiliation Good Sam & Coast to Coast. Older park roughly 55 full hook-up, 30 amp sites, some shade, narrow but adequate for slides and patio awning. 15 50 amp sites in full sun are not labeled as full hook-up. Roughly 80 forest sites are water only or water & electric only and are suited to smaller rigs/tent. WIFI, cable and electricity are charged on a daily basis and by device for WIFI/day. Member cost for 3 days, 30 amp, cable and 4 wifi devices was $25.00. - WayneG
