This was a nice park, but it is a Thousand Trails park. This means that the facilities will be older, and the sites are not reserved meaning when you get there you have to drive around trying to find an open spot. It was close to Memorial day, but we lucked out in finding a pretty nice spot. It is a serious challenge getting satellite as the park is heavily forested, which makes it very beautiful - much like camping in the forest. We had lots of opportunities to walk around and it was beautiful. The site is 30A and water only. There are a lot of long term campers hauling there portable tanks to the dump station, and I saw a couple of very disgusting displays of poor sanitation of people emptying those tanks. A word of warning about power quality: our power protection kicked out several times due to over and under voltage. I would say it is mandatory to have power protection to protect your electronics and unit systems. It was a nice stay, but a challenge due to the power and sewer issues. - AZ_Travelers
Nov 2018 - $61.00
Really...$61 for this campground? really? I camped here one night to visit some friends and my go-to campground closes Nov 1. I had no other choice. Gravel roads, gravel sites, unkempt site, not particularly level, leaves everywhere. Crappy fire pit stick back in the trees. Not a bad campground for $35, but $61 with tax is absurd. - the5reeds
Sep 2018 - $51.00
Peaceful with gorgeous tall trees. Each site was pretty private. Site a little unlevel, nice picnic table and fire pit although because of fire danger, unable to use. Pool and spa closed as late in the season. The park help extremely nice. Wish we could have stayed longer. A bit of a drive to get there, but close to Snoqualmie Falls. We had satellite reception. This is a thousand trails park, and we are not members, but were welcomed. - Crbus

Secluded away from big city yet close enough to be convenient. Next to the White River and very nice trail so location is superb if being in the woods is your thing. Price has apparently gone up considerably. My site 6 was not a good value. It was assigned by lady on the phone at the Auburn Park and Recreation based on my 3/4 ton truck and 28 ft trailer, but I still had to disconnect to fit. Big mud hole around table and firepit, narrow, very shady and damp for November. After examining other sites this one would be my LAST pick. Camp host is a pleasant and friendly guy. Camp is owned by the city of Auburn and they don't even pay the host. What does the 35 a night go towards? City politician's pockets? - RLZerr
Aug 2018 - $10.00
It is a very well kept park. Nice and peaceful. The staff was very helpful. - Brad Davidson
Jul 2016 - $25.00
Sites are not all that wide here. We had people sitting only a couple of feet away from us near their fire ring. We could not open any windows because of the smoke from their fire. Kind of a sketchy place, but we had no problems. There are people living in tents here who spend 7 nights, leave for 1 and then come back. Sites are mostly level and paved. Verizon cell and broadband both very good. OTA TV was poor, no networks found. We had ION and a couple of PBS type stations. Not a place we are likely to return to, but our stay was acceptable. - Bob and Inga

A small park with a very nice owner. Most of the sites have full-time residents. The place is quiet, but doesn’t have much in the way of amenities (picnic area with a horseshoe pit), but the price was right. There is also a nice grass volleyball court and a pond to sit by on the owners adjoining property. - Travelin'

We have been coming to this park for over 8 years and it is our home park for our Sunrise Resorts membership and RPI. Given that you would think we would get good service, right! But sadly no! A new person in the office who claims to have been there for 6 years. Well you would think she could use the computer reservation system! Not! I had called a month in advance and requested a full hook up site which is what we always ask for wherever we go. We arrive and are told our site was water and electric only. I said we requested full hooks She says no you asked for W & E. I told her I never ask for water and electric only. Then she tells me that all she has is a W & E site. Ask when we could be moved and she couldn't promise but said next week. So we are in a very narrow site in the back of the park. Can't get reception on the satellite due to the trees! Not happy campers! The 30 amp service wasn't even marginal. We would be on the edge of the red or into the red on our gauge when A/C was on! If we had any appliance on we would have blown a fuse. The final straw was on the 18th at about 1:00pm and the office person came to the rig and said that we were supposed to out by 11:00AM. We said 'no, our reservation was until the 22nd but she was supposed to find a full hook up site that we had reserved. She acted surprised and we stood our ground. She scurried off to the office and called us with a site we could move to with full hook ups. We hurried and broke camp and set up on the new site in record time since we had to go and pick up our daughter and take her to the airport. Same problems at the new site, poor electric and lousy water pressure. narrow, uneven sites with trash on them and debris from the trees everywhere. No attempt to groom the sites at all! The owners are just a bunch of lazy skinflints trying to make as much money as possible. We are sick of it and will not stay again! - Rick & Karen
Jul 2018 - $15.00
This is a beautiful location on Lake Sawyer. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but this place is run-down. I understand from talking to fellow campers that have stayed here in the past that it used to be a nice place with activities and events. But none are present now. It looks like by my estimation a third of the sites are occupied by long-term residents that have accumulated crap outside their RVs. I saw one 5th wheel that was last registered in 2010. I lost power 3 times when it was 91 degrees. The breaker for my section tripped. The maintenance person took care of it right away and I did not have any more problems. Sites are tight and were not designed for today's larger RVs. Dish network was good for my site along north fence. My motorhome is 27 feet, so I fit in my site well, but it was still close to my neighbor's rig. I am new to Sunrise resorts. I hope this is not representative of their other campgrounds. I will not stay here again. Photos on the website made it look good, but don't believe everything that you see. I was extremely disappointed and can't wait to move! - rahrenswa
Jul 2018 - $1.00
The lady in the office who allowed us to look at what we thought would be the best site for our needs; she was wonderful, but nothing else was wonderful about our stay there. The voltage was so low (98v) that we couldn't use our air conditioner, our microwave or any other appliances at certain times of the day. The water pressure was so low (about 20 psi) that the only way to take a decent shower was to also use our onboard pump. If you need satellite TV, this place has tons of trees so beware. Many of the tree limbs are very low and brushed against our motorhome. Also the trees shed and had to sweep all of the slide toppers etc. On the way out of the park, the road has been made extremely bumpy by protruding tree roots under the blacktop; we tried to proceed at an idle, but the dishes inside took a beating. - simonsrf

Jun 2014 - $25.00
I rated this low. For $25/night it had to be the worst WA state park we have ever stayed in. Sites 1-4 are the ones where supposedly the large RVs should be. They are as close together as any commercial campground, so no privacy, noise from your neighbor's generator, etc. There were other pull through sites that would have worked. The website just didn't show they were available for larger rigs, but we saw a RV larger than ours on one of them, That would have been a much more pleasant spot with a little more privacy. $25/night for no hooks and no working dump station felt like it was priced too high. You also get charged extra if you are not a WA state resident and want to make a reservation. Unlike most Western WA state parks, there is little or no vegetation between any of the RV sites in this park. Only sites with any privacy are in the tent or very small class B RV area. You are in the flight path of SeaTac so you do get that noise. On the plus side, nice hiking trail in the park and easy walk to the beach area. Probably not a park we'll stay in again. - DRFink
Jul 2013 - $23.00
Nice woodsy park between Seattle and Tacoma. We were in a 45' motorhome and except for one tight turn because of a parked camper sticking out, I was able to navigate thru the park and to the campsite with care, but no problem. The showers do not work (was told by camp host). The place is a bit overgrown. I had to trim a tree as not to scrape going into my site. Site 1 - 4 are best for big rigs. Easy to back in to and easy to pull out. No hookups (as advertised) and a good price. The beach is great. A nice paved path along the waterfront is nice. A good restaurant called Wally's Chowder House a couple of miles away was wonderful. The park is great for camping. Just not very well maintained with the lack of budget in the WA State Park System. - JoeVinnie
Jul 2011 - $22.00
The park was extremely well maintained. There were many trails to explore, and the beach access had excellent low-tide pooling for investigation. Our site right next to the creek was wonderful. Detractions included the airline traffic heading to/from Seatac (pretty minor, but noticeable) and the dry camping (offset by running a generator to recharge batteries). - bradrf

Very friendly Office and Host. Service near by. DUMP on Site. Fresh water available a dump area. Will return. Good spot to visit Seattle. - silverado
Aug 2015 - $15.00
The sites are wide and there is a pool and showers. However, after we got our motorhome leveled off and slide outs extended we discovered that there are NO WATER connections at the sites. All plastic pipes above ground have been broken at each site. Camp Host offered no realistic explanation, nor was there a note in the sign up box to that effect. There is a fresh water spigot near the dump station, but who knew we needed to fill up before setting up ? There are showers available for use but they're not in great shape. We will not return to this Elks Lodge unless the water issue is corrected. - RVtravelers2
Sep 2014 - $15.00
30 Amp with Water and easy access Dump station. Showers available when the pool is open or just ask and they will let you use them. Grass spots with enough room that makes it comfortable. We eat Sunday breakfast and had dinner a couple of times. They have a golf course next to them that is private but they have an arrangement so that if you are staying there you can use it. Swimming pool available showers are available in the pool house if you ask.
I can only give an overall grade of 8 to any site that does not have sewer connection at the pad. But other than that this is a 10 site. - Gilbert & Gail

We had been in four KOA's just prior to this one, and this campground would not even register on a scale compared to these. First the lady checking me in asked the other lady in office why computer was showing an error. The other lady said it's ok the spot is short but he will fit. I booked this campground in February, so this was not a drive up. Then the lady in office directed me into my pullthru spot in the wrong direction. Had to back down the aisle of campers to get turned around. The roads are very narrow and to get down another row to my spot I had to stop and get out and ask two people to move their truck because they put people in spots that left no room for vehicles. All vehicles were parked between camper up against picnic tables. When the people that were parked next to us arrived, they could not get out of the passenger door because they had to back between campers to park their truck. Place was more like an rv storage with hookups than a campground. - dtgt
Aug 2019 - $59.00
As other reviews have noted, this is a tight park for big rigs. We were able to take our 43 foot fiver through the narrow roads and barely into our assigned site. Lots of pot holes in the roads. There is a tight 180 degree turn at the entrance to get to the office but there is a stoplight. Water pressure was excellent. Electric, water, and sewer connections were located in the center making it easy to connect. We were able to get good Satellite TV and local OTA. Sites are very close together. They pack people in this place with tents on the lawn. Staff was nice but had a hard time completing our check in due to the computer system. Parking your tow vehicle is a problem with limited space at the site and too few parking spaces by the office. Vehicles are parked everywhere including in the grass and part way into the too narrow roads. WiFi was slow but adequate for email. All that said, this is the closest RV park to downtown Seattle. Easy access to SEATAC (15 minutes). The neighborhood seems safe and is mostly industrial. Lots of road noise. They do show kids movies each night on the lawn in the summer. Kids seemed to be enjoying the pool and playground. - BBGuy
Aug 2019 - $61.00
This is the worst KOA we have ever stayed at. The only thing I can say is "this is a dump". By the looks of it this is a very old KOA. The entrance is somewhat narrow. The sites are extremely tight, and junk RVs decorate the front entrance where you are suppose to register. This IS NOT a park for big rigs. We have a 44' class A and could barely make it through the streets and into our spot. We could not put our awnings out as the site we were assigned was to narrow. Thank goodness I only wasted one day here. Bottom line, we will not come back to this park. On the positive side, the manager who checked us in was very nice and friendly. - Leola Belle

Stayed 2 nites. Park in general was pretty neat. RV part was the tightest we have ever had. Site was long, but for sure with our slides out we had at best 12" on either side between rigs. 99% of RV seemed to be long term. The water connection is extremely low in the ground. - Jhl
Jun 2018 - $45.00
Rv park is in a converted mobile home park and is set up as a transient park where most people are returned snowbirds or live and work out of there. The sewer smell permeates the air throughout the park. The wifi wasnt strong enough so had to come sit on a bench by the pool to work on my tablet. Traffic is so congested it is so hard to enter or leave the park. I'll never come back - Sarge936
Apr 2018 - $55.00
This park is no way worth the price, we ended up paying $56.18 a night and that included the Good Sam discount plus tax. They do not have weekly rates. The sites are not very wide you are stacked in pretty tight. There needs to be more gravel in each site. There was notices being put out that people needed to pick up after their dogs and that was a fact. We had one more night to stay for our week but on that day a truck came in and starting spraying each site from front to back and side to side with roundup week killer and they didn't care if it got on your water hose or cables this is not a good practice that stuff can be dangerous we have a little dog and certainly didn't want him to get sick or us. When we complained to the office all they would say is well we have never had a problem before so no help there. It basically fell on deaf ears. We were so upset over this practice we up and left that day before they could spray our site. We lost one night of money but for safety reasons it was worth it. Never will we stay there again and do not recommend this park at all. This park is mostly full time residents which for the most park of very nice. - roamer3
