We have been coming to this park for over 8 years and it is our home park for our Sunrise Resorts membership and RPI. Given that you would think we would get good service, right! But sadly no! A new person in the office who claims to have been there for 6 years. Well you would think she could use the computer reservation system! Not! I had called a month in advance and requested a full hook up site which is what we always ask for wherever we go. We arrive and are told our site was water and electric only. I said we requested full hooks She says no you asked for W & E. I told her I never ask for water and electric only. Then she tells me that all she has is a W & E site. Ask when we could be moved and she couldn't promise but said next week. So we are in a very narrow site in the back of the park. Can't get reception on the satellite due to the trees! Not happy campers! The 30 amp service wasn't even marginal. We would be on the edge of the red or into the red on our gauge when A/C was on! If we had any appliance on we would have blown a fuse. The final straw was on the 18th at about 1:00pm and the office person came to the rig and said that we were supposed to out by 11:00AM. We said 'no, our reservation was until the 22nd but she was supposed to find a full hook up site that we had reserved. She acted surprised and we stood our ground. She scurried off to the office and called us with a site we could move to with full hook ups. We hurried and broke camp and set up on the new site in record time since we had to go and pick up our daughter and take her to the airport. Same problems at the new site, poor electric and lousy water pressure. narrow, uneven sites with trash on them and debris from the trees everywhere. No attempt to groom the sites at all! The owners are just a bunch of lazy skinflints trying to make as much money as possible. We are sick of it and will not stay again! We camped at Lake Sawyer RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

I do apologize that you were not able to get a full hook up on your first day of stay. We do our best to fill all requests, however, July and August are our busiest months of the year and some guests have made reservations 6 months in advance for this reason. I do show that you were moved to a full hook up on the 2nd day for the duration of your stay which was very accommodating of the gal in the office to go the extra mile and locate one for you. We are a 30 amp park only at this location and yes air conditioners do not do well in 90-100 degree weather on 30 amp. We agree. It's a good thing that they are not needed too often in this area. We do have beautiful pine trees in the Campground and this can sometimes limit satellite but we are a campground and not a parking lot. Launching a personal attack against the owners (whom you have never met) is not necessary in a review. IF you knew the owners "skinflint" and "lazy" are two words that I would never use to describe them.

This is a beautiful location on Lake Sawyer. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but this place is run-down. I understand from talking to fellow campers that have stayed here in the past that it used to be a nice place with activities and events. But none are present now. It looks like by my estimation a third of the sites are occupied by long-term residents that have accumulated crap outside their RVs. I saw one 5th wheel that was last registered in 2010. I lost power 3 times when it was 91 degrees. The breaker for my section tripped. The maintenance person took care of it right away and I did not have any more problems. Sites are tight and were not designed for today's larger RVs. Dish network was good for my site along north fence. My motorhome is 27 feet, so I fit in my site well, but it was still close to my neighbor's rig. I am new to Sunrise resorts. I hope this is not representative of their other campgrounds. I will not stay here again. Photos on the website made it look good, but don't believe everything that you see. I was extremely disappointed and can't wait to move! We camped at Lake Sawyer RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hello Richard...We do apologize but the activities were discontinued due to lack of participation. Folks that come to this location always have their own agendas and there is so much to do and see in the area that nobody wanted to do potlucks or bingo anymore.
We do try to educate our guests that Air conditioners take a lot of amps to run and can blow a breaker if not used properly. We do hand out a flyer in the office on how much each appliance will use. (Most folks are shocked) It is a learning experience.
Campgrounds are hard to find in the Seattle area because land is so expensive and with that being said the RV sites tend to be a little smaller in this campground but the Lakefront is beautiful and enjoyable.

The lady in the office who allowed us to look at what we thought would be the best site for our needs; she was wonderful, but nothing else was wonderful about our stay there. The voltage was so low (98v) that we couldn't use our air conditioner, our microwave or any other appliances at certain times of the day. The water pressure was so low (about 20 psi) that the only way to take a decent shower was to also use our onboard pump. If you need satellite TV, this place has tons of trees so beware. Many of the tree limbs are very low and brushed against our motorhome. Also the trees shed and had to sweep all of the slide toppers etc. On the way out of the park, the road has been made extremely bumpy by protruding tree roots under the blacktop; we tried to proceed at an idle, but the dishes inside took a beating. We camped at Lake Sawyer RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Finding RV spots in the Seattle/Black Diamond/Covington area are tough to find, and that is one of the many reasons this OLD park doesn't do any improvements....Obviously, they have a huge piece of land in a very ideal location near many expensive houses.

This park is in need of a major over haul! Only one shower in the men's room works. Buildings are in need of repair. The sites are jammed in close together. In one area the sewer system "went down" and needs to be fixed. We camped at Lake Sawyer RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We needed to stay in the Seattle area for a job assignment and due to the lack of convenient RV parks in the area, we were lucky to find a spot at Lake Sawyer RV Resort. The best thing about this resort is the beautiful location on Lake Sawyer and proximity to various areas in the Seattle area. However, for the money, we found this resort to be lacking in serious maintenance. Patio tables were run down; laundry room is deplorable (leaking roof); community room (which was never open) was furnished with old furniture and equipment. Spaces are very tight and we noticed that folks couldn't even put out their awnings; uneven sites and no room for patio tables. There are a number of rigs there who obviously haven't been moved in years and as a result, moss and plants were growing on top. I am surprised that Sunrise Resorts, who have at least ten other resorts, is letting this resort fall into such disrepair. We camped at Lake Sawyer RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We agree that the location of this campground IS Great and the lake is beautiful ! The laundry room which did spring a leak this last winter has been repaired and the patio tables have all been refurbished ! The One RV that had a garden on top that was in storage is now gone. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Your business is very much appreciated...

Very disappointed with this campground. No sewer service at our site, but there was at one time. Sewer dump station available but filled up before we got there. Told management and their real helpful comment was "you will just have to wait for it to settle". We will not come back. We camped at Lake Sawyer RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pretty obvious what is going on in this park. The owners are turning the member's sites into and long-term sites rented by the month with FHU, leaving the members with non sewer sites. Heard the county will not allow them to upgrade the sewer sites, so owners are getting by waiting for the value of the land to skyrocket. 30 amp power was low voltage. Water pressure was at a meager 30 psi. We were stacked close on both sides, couldn't use awnings. Satellite coverage is very tough to acquire. The picnic table was in such poor shape it fell apart while trying to move it a few feet. Many tight turns with low tree branches, even at the dump station. Dump station was full when we got there. Lots of full time dwellers with lots of junk. We camped at Lake Sawyer RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Have back in and pull through sites; we were supposed to be in a FHU site but while setting up discovered that they had the sewer capped off due to septic issues along the row we were in. So we had to watch our water usage while there, but they did have a dump station to use. The electric was good as well as the water quality. They did not have cable or WiFi, but antenna service was OK. Billiard Room was locked all the time; other 21 and older room smelled of mildew (had to leave). I did not see any other rec area. It's right on Lake Sawyer and had boat ramps and docks for boaters. Not well maintained and lots of rotting decks around the cabins. They complained that our dogs were on their leads - said they had to be on a 6' leash, even tho we were sitting outside with them. We camped at Lake Sawyer RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Went to visit Snoqualmie Falls at the Salish Lodge. This is the same falls that were shown on the TV show Twin Peaks.

Walked across the road to a side street to walk the dogs and found a trail leading off the road, through a small creek, past the high school, around the bend, through a subdivision, and back to the creek area.

Made our reservation through RPI for a full hookup. None available when we arrived, and later was told an additional fee would be applied if we moved into a vacated FHU site. We were given an excuse blaming our large RV style for collapsing the sewer lines and unable to get permits to fix. Restrooms and showers were clean, out dated, and one men's shower was closed due to lack of maintenance. We were told cable was available however there is no cable in the park. Very poor OTA TV. Our 3o Amp power would trip around 22 to 26 amps, or possibly less. We camped at Lake Sawyer RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

For a Sunrise park I was very disappointed! The sites are so close together couldn't put out awning. Campers are just stuck anywhere they can get a spot. Lots of people living there and leaving at 5-6 am and noisy. No sewer, electric was ok..30 amp, no wifi. Very, very run down; deck ready to fall in water. Buildings look like haven't been cleaned or used in years. Only good thing was lady in office was very nice. We camped at Lake Sawyer RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Yikes, what happened to this place? We have stayed here several times in the past, this time it is quite different. The park is full, but many appear to be seasonals. Packed in like sardines. Sewer no longer functional, all sealed up. 30 amp is poor 106 volts. water pressure is ok, AT&T ok, park wifif non existent. we stayed here in a 40 ft MH, we will be looking for an alternative the next time we come up here. Unfortunately, we're members of the Sunrise Resorts. As full timers for over 10 years, we find this park to be one of the most undesirable parks we have ever spent time. Our kids live in the area, and we are stuck because of the number of suitable parks in the area. As members. we should get the premium sites, but we only have poor 30 amp service, no sewer, low water pressure, stinky sites, low branches, tight turns, noise, and can't put our awning or BBQ outside because we are too close to our neighbors. All sites are poorly leveled gravel, and by looking, you can tell campers are dumping their tanks (I hope just grey) on the ground because of the lack of sewer connections. Absolutely everything costs extra, so be prepared. There are many tall trees to the Southeast, so getting a satellite signal is almost impossible. We camped at Lake Sawyer RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Dirty stinky restrooms and showers. Sites are in semi gravel mud with weeds, no trees on the site we were issued as represented. Attempted to get another site with trees and better grading but was denied. Once they have your money upon reservation there is no going back for a change. My wife and I left early because the park was so muddy and filthy. This is a membership park (we aren't members), the members we spoke with were not at all happy with this place and vowed not to return. We camped at Lake Sawyer RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
