Being a new TT member, and to this park, my family was impressed with how it was laid out, ample selection of sites and very friendly campers and workers there. We will certainly come back again for another visit. In the mornings, the breakfasts were just awesome! We didn't get out to go shopping outside the camp, etc. Drive slow through the campground, 5 mph. Enforced. They have an onsite store too! Power tower was in good shape all worked fine. Was middle of the road with the trailer so had plenty of room available. Sewer dumps were available on the way out of the park. All worked well there, running water pretty clean. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a big place. The campers are quiet. The facilities very well kept with a large grass area for playing games. I liked the arrangement of campsites. We found a well-treed site offering nice privacy. The sites furthest from the highway were all taken. There's no way you can see the road, but it sure sounded close. There's very few sites with sewer hookup so don't expect to get one. I'd stay again as a travel thru site. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Here's the best part and a reason I'd return: Rhody Restaurant. It's about 10 minutes off the highway in the super small town of Bow (a few houses and a number of farms). I kid you not when I say it's the best food I've ever had and I've eaten around the world. I had grilled salmon with a creamy tequila-lime sauce over polenta. The vegetables are from their own garden and the creme brulee with candied ginger was made to perfection. Yes it is expensive, but for good reason.

We decided to try the "top of the hill" area and found a nice spot, however, we did not realize just how close we were to the Skagit Speedway and they were having a special racing weekend. It got a bit loud at times, but, that being said, this is still one of the nicest parks in the area. They have recently "updated" the restrooms so everything was nice and clean and "new-ish" looking at least at the restroom we used. Although a bit of a walk, the clubhouse is really nice at this location. We don't really make use of it, but we checked it out, and it has wifi, and some big screen TVs, nice little store, adult / quiet area, views, pool, billiards, etc.. Just a real nice relaxing air-conditioned building. This time of year, lots and LOTS of bunny rabbits. Arrive at the right time and they are lined up on either side of the road like a welcoming committee. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We love this park. Super friendly staff. Lots of activities/crafts for kids. Pool is large and heated. Hot tub is brand new (was locked on this trip, not sure why). We stayed in section F. Very large private sites. This is a large park. We prefer sections D, E, F, & G. They're a long walk to the pool and lodge but the sites are larger and more private. Water and electric at every site. Sewer sites for TT members only. Wifi at lodge only. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here again this year for our "week out" of the park that's closer to our family. It's a long drive from here to Everett, but there aren't many choices and this one's free for us as 30-year Leisure Time members (the name of this group of campgrounds before Thousand Trails purchased them). We struggled to find a spot that was long enough for us, but finally managed to get to one in the E section - it looks like they've recently done some grading of sites in there; lots of wood/tree debris pushed around. That section is entered with a very steep downhill part, but we managed OK in our 68' rig. Our site was fairly easy to back into, but not very level. We didn't use any of the amenities this time except the bathroom, and two of the centrally located bathrooms were closed - one had porta-potties outside. They have four others, one near the pool. It was some problem with the electricity, people were getting shocked in the showers! They had been dealing with the electric company for some time and not getting very far it seems. As mentioned before, this park is long and parallels the freeway, so expect some noise. It's fairly constant, which makes it like white noise. Lots of trees, it's a wooded, rustic experience. Sites are first-come, first served. Don't expect a sewer site, there are only 17 of those. They'll put you on a waiting list, but who wants to move once you're already set up? Just plan on using your own tanks and their bathrooms. The dump station is awkward for rigs as big as ours, we dumped at the rest area on I-5. Southbound there's one near Arlington and another near Marysville, with multiple dump lanes and easy access. Northbound, there's one just past the freeway entrance from the campground. You can actually see it from the campground if you hike around the perimeter trail. Drive out Bow Rd across the freeway and you can turn right at the Bow Post Office intersection at Hwy 11 and be on Chuckanut Drive. It's a nice drive with views of the water, and a state park. The drive ends in Bellingham, a nice place to explore. College town, so plenty of cheap and interesting places to eat and drink. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We had previously stayed at this campground in Sept 2017 - it was quite rainy then, so we did not spend much time outside our rig. This time, we stayed only 2 days, but we had friends come to visit so we spend a good time outside the rig. Even though the traffic noise on I-5 was definitely noticeable, it wasn't so loud as to make conversation difficult outside the rig. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 4 nights prior to catching the ferry out of Anacortes. Nicely kept park, wide, level spaces with lots of trees for shade, grassy areas in between. A lot of full time residents, but they were friendly and neat. There's quite a bit of train traffic nearby, but you get used to it. Conveniently located near Burlington for shopping. Lots of produce stands in the area if you want fresh fruit and veggies. The review posted from May 2018 was incorrect, should have been for the Thousand Trails campground in Bow. There's no casino here. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We used our GPS to get to park and it took us to a dead end street, it was a nightmare to get out of there. The check in was okay we asked for suggestions on what to do in the area he was not helpful. The interior roads are wide enough for easy access, the sites are average width but our very long. The park is mostly full timers. When we tried to use the electricity it was not properly grounded (50amp) so we used the 30amp which on a hot day barely kept the coach cool. The owner did get it fixed the next day. Had to use to hoses for the sewer. We would probably try to find someplace closer to Seattle next time. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground is right along I-5, so although you cannot see it, you can hear traffic pretty continuously. Friends had cautioned us to have the windows down in the Jeep when we were selecting a site so we would hear whether the traffic noise was disturbing. We knew that the site had traffic noise, but thought that with the windows closed on the bus, we wouldn't hear it... it wasn't so loud as to be disruptive, but it was constant. The campground is very wooded and very long - if you select a site in the back, just driving in and out of the campground can take a while (at 5 MPH). Our nightly rate was $0 as Thousand Trails Family Courtesy Card holders. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed driving to Anacortes - Washington Park was a nice drive with pullouts with nice views of the islands. Snow Goose Produce for "immodest" scoops of ice cream - one scoop is *plenty*! But... they will close after the first weekend in October for the winter.

This campground is Thousand Trails, and as such was set up for family camping many years ago. Amenities are older, and some could use some sprucing up, but overall the place was clean. Very dusty, but they were having a record dry spell when we were there, so it's to be expected. Obviously it would be enormously expensive and wasteful to try to "water" the roads. I'm sure they have the opposite problem when it's raining the rest of the year! There aren't any sewer hookups, so even though they may advertise them, there's only 17 out of over 200 sites and the long-term purchasers have snapped those up. Expect a more rustic camping experience, lots of trees, a nice pool-kiddie pool-hot tub area, mini-golf that could use a bit of an update, and good playground facilities. The clubhouse was very nice, and the little store there had the basics. All-in-all, a very good place to spend a couple weeks if you're a member and need to stay in the area. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

There's a little mom and pop restaurant in Burlington in the outlet complex, Curious Chef, that was good enough to go back to. All fresh made there, great homemade desserts.

We pull a 43" fifth wheel with a big F350. This park is in a farming area. Entry into park is very easy. Staff are friendly and very nice. Lanes and sites are gravel surrounded by nice grass and large trees for shade. Most of the RVs are permanent or seasonal and very well kept. Residents are very friendly. Utilities work well. Cable TV is good and Satellite reception is good. Propane is available in park WiFi is good enough to check email. AT&T Cell service is good. Verizon Broadband is good. There is no Dog park, no Pool and no Play area for kids. No Bugs. Would love to return for a much longer stay. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall this TT campground was pretty good. Most sites are only W/E, but the bathrooms are spaced well and in good condition. As many reviews note, the roads are definitely dusty if its not raining. Sites and spacing are generally good, some sites available with more sun, some with more shade.

Our biggest problem was the electric, which couldn't handle the draw when the weather spiked into the upper-80s and had people running (multiple) ACs. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Their credit card machine denied two of my cards. Had to use cash. My bank reported that their machined was in error. Never had any other problems heading south.
This park is mostly long termers so you need to reserve a space ahead of time. Great for an overnight stop, but you face Seattle traffic if heading South in the morning ie Mt. V to Renton 2hrs. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.
