We hit this campground on the perfect weekend. We were almost the only people there and virtually had the sandy beach area and the lower end of the campground with it's own dock all to ourselves! It was fabulous! Good sized lake and great spot to go if you have kids. Our kids played in the sandy area all day, the husbands fished, wives could sit in the sun and keep an eye on everyone. The playground is up the hill a bit and can't be seen very well from the campsites, but the kids mainly enjoyed playing by the water. They said they had wi-fi available, but it wasn't working that weekend, at least we couldn't connect. Boating docks available and lighted dock for night time fishing. This park also has cabins and every spot gets a water view! My husband had quite a time getting the sewer pipe to unload, they were up pretty high, but maybe in another spot it would have been easier. Not sure. They have a little snack store and ice for sale. State park is across the water. Would definitely go back. - User804

New owners have done a lot in the few months they've owned this park. New bathrooms, new office, wifi at the office, one new set of high end aluminum docks. More improvements are scheduled. Thanks for bring and old favorite up to date!!!! - Way2nutz
May 2015 - $31.00
The new owners have done a great job renovating the park in the last nine months with completely new store, restrooms and showers, new motors on fishing boats, docks have been repaired and cleaned, the grounds are being maintained, not to mention the fishing was spectacular this year with the warmer winter. It's definitely our favorite place in Washington for our family get together... - Art a

We've been coming here for 25 years and have up to 40 people in our group, so are a little jaded, and tend to overlook the fact that the place is getting a little run down due to aging owners. It is one of the very few places you can park your RV within feet of the waters edge. Nightly fees are very reasonable. The restrooms arent in the best condition, but if you gotta go, they work! Our kids grew up coming here, and now have their own RVs and still keep coming. - Way2nutz

Nice park beside Curlew lake, pull thru full hook-up sites are best, the full hook-up back in sites are a little tight. The partial hook-up back in sites provide you with much more room. Lots of tenting site. The RV sites on the south end of the RV park are very tight but right on the lake. Swimming boating and fishing. Large central green(lawn) space where the kids to play. Clean washrooms and showers. Boat launch and dock. Very friendly hosts. - Retired Papa
Jul 2014 - $12.00
Beautiful park and very well maintained, right on the lake with boat launch & trails. There is no cellular service in the park but if you hike up, as I did, to the airport, there is at least a weak signal. If you need hookups, you will be in a crowded, gravel parking lot-type setting. If you don't need hookups, you can find a lovely, shady, grassy site in the 'random camping' area. I chose the latter and the price reflects a WA limited-income senior pass. I shall certainly return to this lovely campground. - mockturtle

I was surprised to see that I was the last - and only one - to have reviewed this park. I've downgraded my rating a bit since the last time we were there though. The region suffered a huge windstorm awhile ago and many large trees that provided much needed shade were felled by the event. Now most of the sites are in direct sun which can make for a hot stay in this part of Washington state. I don't know if the layout of the park has changed from the last time we were there but this time I noticed that a lot of the sites are little more than a gravel pad with a picnic table and they are quite close to one another so that you have absolutely no privacy from your neighbor. These sites do have full or partial hook-ups however. In order to have some shade we stayed in the loop without any hook-ups and found it to be quiet, cool and peaceful. Each evening deer browsed on the grassy area in the center of the loop. The best sites are for those in tents and they are situated on grassy knolls with views of Curlew Lake. We would stay here again because the lake is pretty and there aren't a lot of other options in this area. - BruceandKathyWA

The paved sites and drives, the lush grass and the shade from many trees was an awesome break from the normal dry and dusty conditions we encounter in most RV parks in August. The owners are friendly and helpful, even loaning us a cooler to use while defrosting our fridge. - Dougrc
Aug 2017 - $40.00
This is a great RV Park! We are on our way back to Florida after going up the Alaska Highway to Alaska and back down the Cassiar and this is the nicest RV park we've been in! It's quiet. It's clean and neat. The bathroom and shower facilities are immaculate. All the sites are paved as are the roads. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. In fact, we like it so much we are going to spend another night. We want to explore the neat little town in the middle of awesome scenery called Republic, WA. - bfisher003

Nice park in remote area. Quiet. Wifi is a bit iffy. No Verizon. Near Curlew State Park but not a lot of activities. Good place to relax and do nothing. - BigDawg1

A clean and attractive city owned campground attached to a grassy park and beside the Kettle River. Watch deer graze as you have a beer outside your RV! Central location - walking distance to stores and restaurants.. Caution, as it is in a park, park users can and do walk or cycle through the campground. Probably a good idea to lock away "stealables" like BBQ's when you are not using them overnight. Well maintained & clean bathrooms and showers. - FRL
Sep 2016 - $33.00
This park is located next to the towns soccer and kids playground and water park. Great for families, or oldies. Paved walking trail all the way around. This is one of a very few places where you pull in and you level. Walking distance to town with lots of neat little shops. Has a great coffee and pastry shop in town. We will be back. - slvrtrk
May 2015 - $27.00
Self registration when we arrived. Saw only one park employee later in the evening. Campground part of a bigger city park that has a senior's activity centre. Park roads and sites good gravel. Only a couple sites have any shade. Privacy fences between most sites. Our site (#7) was a back-in and had a bit of shade. It had a picnic table in good condition. There are some pull-through sites available. All utilities worked fine. No cable TV and didn't find any off the air TV either. Wi-Fi connection was strong and good enough for Skype calls. Easy walk to the river. We would stay here again if in the area. - Onemoretrail

Open all year, although only electric hook up in the winter -- but it is difficult to find an RV park open all year around here. Friendly staff, showers, laundry and bathrooms available. Play area. Not much space between pitches, but they do allow campfires which is very rare! Right on the Kettle River, easy walk to town (Grand Forks), and access to the Trans Canada trail. - Salt & Pepper Adventures

Very friendly hostess who found us a spot along the river after having to leave our last stop abruptly. The campground is situated along highway 3 so there is constant traffic noise. Our site is covered with 6" of sand that was left by the spring flooding. Many long term residents who keep their sites clean. Good for a overnight stop. Wifi is available near the office. - Fun finders
Jul 2017 - $36.00
We travel a lot and even still the Riviera RV Park stands out in the best way possible! You can see that the owners are busy working hard improving the campground. We stayed here once before a few years back, and the improvements they have done since then are incredible. The owners are the friendliest people you'll ever meet, and if you get a nice shady site or an open sunny one, they're all nice because they are right on the river! Place is dog-friendly and had lots of play space for the kids. - welltravelled81
Nov 2016 - $33.00
Very small RV park at the edge of town, right on the river. Although I didn't use the showers I was not impressed with them. They are coin operated but in order to add extra coins it means having to leave your shower stall completely and walk over 6 feet to insert the coins. The shower area is only separated by a curtain in the large washroom building. This is not a quiet park as the sound of semi's whizzing down the highway kept me awake most of the night. The rate we paid was in Canadian dollars. - Suiteasitgets

Jun 2009 - $22.00
I reviewed this park two years ago, and it is still a good place for an overnight stay. The rate is fair and we had the pull through site again (15), so we didn't have to unhook our tow. The free, strong Wi-Fi connection is a bonus. - Carly
Jun 2006 - $22.00
We parked on well manicured lawn in the only pull through site available. Easy access. This was a lovely place to spend the night and the free internet access at our site was a bonus. Children are welcome but there is nothing here for them to do. This is really just an overnight spot. - Carly
