A very lovely park along the river. Very pleasant couple greeted our arrival. Very quiet here. Great area for walking the herd (5 small dogs). They offer a community fire pit and all the wood you may need. - manonthemtn
Aug 2019 - $42.00
As usual, we had a FHU, pull through site that was satellite friendly. As others have noted, the sites are narrow and, because the park is fairly full most of the summer, it feels a bit cramped. The bathrooms and laundry facilities were fine. I was able to get on the internet long enough to check my e-mail. - Jerry S
Aug 2019 - $46.00
We camped here for 3 nights to finish touring Olympic National Park. The city of Holquiam is dingy so we didn't venture out to much. This is an ok stop over park, the check in was easy and they have baked goodies for guests. Lots of folks living here full-time or long term most 20 year or older trailers. The sites are situated in a big parking lot so there is no privacy. It is advertised as having grass at each site, but you get weeds. The tent areas (along the river) have fie pits, but the RV's have to use a large communal fire pit... kind-a of strange. . WIFI is weak at best. I would not camp here again.... We camped at Hoquiam River RV Park in a Motorhome. - Leola Belle

Pulled in with our 35ft. MH and was assigned space 3. Nice large site. Leaving the site includes sharp turn and sloped exit but had no issues. The Pub serves great dinners and has a nice assortment of micro brews. Lots of paths for walks in the rain forest. Very dog friendly. Will keep this RV park on my return list. - Treky
Aug 2018 - $30.00
This is a good park. Roads and sites are gravel/dirt but the park is small enough that it is not dirty or dusty. Some sites larger than others. Some have all shade, some partial and some pretty much full sun. Our site was plenty large enough for our 40MH and the tow and prett level. Very nice grassy area right out our door. The roads can be a little tight, but we were able to get in without touching any bushes. Good price for a full hook up site as well. There is no cable or over the air TV nor could we get satellite, but we could stream movies without ATT hot spot. The pub/smokehouse is where you check in . They have a good selection of micro brews on draught, and the Brisket dip sandwich is not to be missed! They also allow dogs inside and on the back deck. I would give the park another star, but the road noise from 101 is a little loud. It quiets down at night. Not alot for kids to do here. There is a 1/2 mile hiking trail right from the park which makes for a good place to walk a dog, or a human. There is also good road cycling on North River Road. Don't hesitate to stay here if you are in the area. - Jake21
Aug 2017 - $25.00
Very unique location. Clean facilities, roomy sites. A great get away. Patience when driving in the loop. 42ft, including tow, fit fine. The front has the larger pull through sites. Probably easiest for first timers to park at the pub, walk back to the office, and visit your site. It is not far. - Dp26

We went, we looked, and we left. Too close to each other and absolutely no appeal whatsoever. My husband said he wouldn't even go in the office! Many campgrounds are like this we have found in our travels. UGh! We would rather boondock in our 40' Tiffin Allegro Bus than most of these campgrounds. - Leslie Nu
Feb 2018 - $25.00
This place is a real dump of an RV park, very gross looking and run down. YES it is on the bay ocean and the jetty, but I could not recommend this to any one. Extremely run down lacking in up keep. - doit
Jul 2016 - $45.00
The ocean view spots are just steps from the beach. (The other rows are $40). This park has full hookup (sewer, water, electricity). Not all sites have a picnic table, so you have to get there early if you want to snag a table and fire pit. The RV spots are very close together. My husband said that he was able to get quite a few channels on the TV and we were also able to get cell reception with Verizon. The wireless connection was good enough to serve as a personal hotspot. The beach was far better than the beach in the town of Ocean Shores (no cars driving around).
The campground does have free showers in the bathrooms, but I didn't use the showers. I also noticed they have a laundry room, but I couldn't tell you if they work or not. Also, your first impression of the campground is not the best because it is right next door to a boarded up hotel. The entrance to the campground is in serious need of some TLC to be a little bit more inviting. I honestly almost asked my husband to turn around and take me back to town, but I'm so glad that I didn't. I loved being steps from the beach and hearing the waves crash all night. - Happy Camper 68

This is the only RV park in the marina. Sites are close together and some electrical problems with out power hookup. Front row is water front. - WayWeRoll
Dec 2010 - $10.00
Rate is based on a monthly winter rate, electricity is included. The managers and staff are really nice and accommodating at the Islander. Even though this park has nice views of the Westport Marina and convenient to bike paths, waterfront shops, restaurants, and 'The Groins', the park itself leaves much to be desired. The park is old! With some updating, it could be a really nice park. The sites are situated in dirt with huge potholes, and when it rains, which is often, the whole park turns into a lake. The sites are short and narrow and there are only 2 sites that will fit the larger rigs like ours. We would only stay here again if they invested the time and resources to update this park. - JustPassinThru
Sep 2010 - $35.00
I reluctantly gave this park a 6 based on location. Professional friendly staff, good free wi-fi, and cable. The washrooms and showers, though clean, were showing the affects of a long season. Two of the three washing machines in the laundry were down for repair, not surprising in this very sandy environment. The biggest problem with this park is it was built prior to larger rigs and is VERY tight. Don't even think about extending your awning if you have a slide out. With the park only 25% full, we had no problem upon arrival or departure. However, were this park full, it would have been a nightmare with our 26' trailer and full size pickup. This park reconfigured with fewer sights could warrant an 8 or 9. While we would consider staying here in the off season, we will probably stay in another park on our next trip to Westport. - Procarver

Under new management...friendly and informative. Enjoyed our quiet stay here while we visited Westport. It's an older park that could use some updating ..but then prices would have to go up. Our pull through site was spacious, but watch out for low tree branches. We would stay here again. - Al Rico
Aug 2018 - $42.00
Our club comes here every year and the staff is always very helpful. We love to use the clubhouse, and I think they provide great service. The only thing is that campers here are the noisiest people (not including us) that I've every experienced in a commercial RV park. This is like the old days with screaming children, loud music, loud voices, and folks just doing what they want without consideration for others. It is always noisy here. Fortunately, the noise does not continue late into the nite. This is in the RV area, not the tent area. I'm all for folks enjoying themselves, but this is really the noisiest place I've camped in years. - LeeL
Aug 2018 - $41.00
We have been here several times in recent years. See my 7/15 review for a more detailed description of the park. We again had a level, back in, FHU sites. Since a satellite friendly site (there aren't many) was not available, we settled for their 20 channel cable TV. We were able to use their Wi-Fi to accomplish our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. In addition to RV sites, there are also very nice tent sites. This park has plenty (pool, playground, etc) for families. There are 2 bathhouses and the one by the office has a small laundry. I saw only recycling for aluminum. - Jerry S

Clean and quiet park. No sewer, but decent 30amp and water. There is a dump station. Park is situated between a small lake (100’ from our site), and the Chehalis River about 100 yards away. - Ken Camp
Aug 2018 - $27.00
Lovely small, rural fishing venue. Maintained by hosts and the community this is a gem. Sites are level. Restrooms are immaculate and the fish cleaning and dumpstation are well designed. This little park is located adjacent to a stocked Lake and the Chehalis river. Trout in the lake, salmon in the river. Bring a pole. - Janet H
Jun 2017 - $25.00
A GEM is correct. Older reviews stated no wifi, but now there is. Very long and beautiful asphalt trail around the lake. The campground was built with handicap in mind, and they did a great job. Asphalt RV space we had (R 10) was not real level, but we used all of our blocks on the back tires of our Class C and got it up enough to function. Water and 30 amp hookup was good. The whole park is VERY QUIET and we loved it. If there had been sewer and cable, we would never leave! - Sharon and Gary

There are 10 water/electric sites available in the parking lot of the lodge, just a block or so off the main drag. The sites were REALLY close together, as in all you can see is the side of your neighbor's rig when you are parked. A little too close for me, but for a night it was OK. The lot is gravel and nothing special - no plants or trees for shade/privacy. Also, it backs up to a HUGE electric substation-type place, so if you worry about that sort of thing, that's a factor to consider. Quiet at night, no road noise from the highway. - gtogrl

Stayed here last year for a month. The old owners who had this park for 20 years sold it this past February to a couple from Japan. Their motto is, I think, cram as many people (with kids) in here as allowed. Kids running, riding bikes and screaming all thru the park. Maybe they will clean up the place. Won't be coming back. - Bluebird Bob
Sep 2017 - $17.00
Have been staying here for a month and think this park is the best one in Westport. Some of the spots are not level, but with some work on your part, it's fine. Great free Wi-fi, great 50 amp and sewer will need a long hose to reach as it is in the back of the site. Owners are very nice. Didn't use the pool but other people did during our stay and seemed to enjoy it. Close to downtown also. Our satellite worked fine in our site. Will stay here again when in the area. - Bluebird Bob
Sep 2016 - $35.00
This is an OK RV park. During the week it's really quiet. On the weekends it fills up and is a very different place. Kids riding their bikes thru your site and groups sitting around talking loudly late into the night. All the sites have old washing machine tubs for fire pits. A couple of our neighbors burned a lot of trash and plastic which made for stinky fires, driving us into our RV with the windows closed. There's also a lot of deferred maintenance -- broken concrete patios, tree stumps, huge potholes and uneven sites. Leveling our RV was a challenge. We are trying to figure out the best way to drive out when we leave with the RV so we don't bottom out on the huge potholes. Also use care when walking around so you don't twist an ankle. The showers and restrooms are fairly clean. After wiping the floor outside the shower up with paper towels, I was glad I wore flip flops. The showers are coin operated so plan on spending a buck or so. The men's shower has a knob you have to turn just right or it won't work. Annoying but if you fiddle with it enough, you'll probably figure it out. Also recommend running hot water in the sink beforehand or your first quarter will likely go for getting hot water. They advertise a heated pool and rec room on their sign but both were closed during our stay. The laundry room was clean and the cost reasonable. You can tell this was a nice park but time and ocean elements have taken a toll. All in all, not the best RV park we've ever stayed in and not the worst. - Travelfish
