Such a beautiful place to stay! A bit overcrowded as the sites are set pretty close together with no real extra space. Park personnel was very nice. We came in late so in the morning we had to check in, however, they did not give us the necessary tag to hang on our rearview mirror. A nice park personnel let me know it was missing and after showing that I had checked in he went up to get my tag for me! Very kind! We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of things to do nearby, within walking distance. LaPush is so beautiful and small enough that I did not have to disconnect my camper to drive anywhere. We walked through the village and enjoyed the beauty of it. There is a store, and a restaurant. And the beach is right there. If one is lucky, there are also some cultural events that happen up that the Akalat Center. The people are warm and welcoming, but please make sure to get familiarized with the rules and policies before venturing up.

Quileute Lonesome Creek is part of the Quileute Oceanside Resort (separate listing) which also includes nice cabins to rent.

Check in was easy but need they a sign to get back to the campground. (Turn after the store. Not before) Roads and parking pads are gravel. We had a back in site right on the beach. Enough room between sites to extend our awning if we had wanted but decided to keep it in as the ocean wind kept coming and going.

Small store and espresso stand available for goodies.

We did not use the restrooms or showers. Although clean, they reminded me of very small holding cells. Several clean and maintained sani-cans were also provided around the park.

Beach fires allowed for a small permit fee. We decided to visit other folks fires and chat with them instead.

We enjoyed this location very much. We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

July 5,6 Quileute Oceanside Resort and RV Parks, LaPush, Washington Lonesome Creek Store and RV Park, $40, full hookups, 66 sites, site 27 backin This resort is on land owned by the Quileute Tribe (Jacob in the Twilight Saga lived here) with two RV Parks, cabins, motel and grocery store. There are some tent sites behind the RV sites and all sites have a picnic table and firepit. Our site was facing First Beach where Bella in the Twilight Series took walks on and dived off the cliffs. One can walk along the beach and see some Bald Eagles up on the cliff. Surfers like this beach. Second and Third Beach are within hiking or driving distance. This campground is located about 30 minutes west of Forks. We stayed here two nights right after the July 4 weekend so some sites needed to be cleaned up. The showers are at the Grocery Store and we did not use them. The checkin was easy and the girls there were very nice. Our first night the park was almost full but then many moved out on July 6 but then it filled up again that night. Good stay but everyone seems to come alive with fireworks after 10pm. Many pets not happy! Interesting resort! We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

The beach here is a 10 with a great views from our motorhome. The sites were roomy and most were suitable for big rigs. The power and hookups worked well. You can have fires on the beach but the sign says a permit is required. This is a remote area and there is not much in town, the restaurant was closed during our visit but there is a small store on the south side of the campground that had supplies. Second & Third beaches are nearby and worth the hike of about a 1.4 miles. Rialto beach was closed for road repair so we were not able to get the beach. No AT&T Cell service but Wifi was available at office at dial up speeds .This is setup like two different campgrounds with sites on the north being mainly gravel pull-thrus with some grass and a fence between each, unlevel but with a good view. Some have sewer hook-ups on both sides. The part south of the store is more basic. All gravel back-ins with hook-ups and also. Many tent sites are sandwiched in back of the ocean front sites. There are a few toilets and showers back at the store and there are some construction site style portable toilets scattered around. I liked the North side best as it had better separation but hard to get level but the beautiful sunsets is why we came and this location delivered. We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

There are two RV sections, one north of the Lonesome Creek Store and one south of the store. We were put in the less desirable location south of the store. Site was dirt and whole area was dusty. Would classify facility as marginal, certainly not worthy of of "Resort" as a description. Best part of the area is its location on the water. It had a nice beach and sunsets were beautiful. Will not go again but do believe it was worth a one time visit and it has been added to our "been there, done that" list. We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is a gravel parking lot. The restrooms are clean. Maintenance on the property could be improved. But the RV park has sites facing the ocean, which is excellent. The nice beach is a very short, easy walk from the park. However, if you are searching for a warm beach spot, this is not the place. It is foggy and cool a lot. There is not much in La Push so you must get supplies in Forks. We loved it and will return. We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hard to rate. Spectacular location overlooking and only 50 yards from the beach. Water and electric were fine. There is a Wi-Fi room at the office, and that is the only place to get Wi-Fi. Late night fireworks were a drawback to me. I like to sleep, but wouldn't be to someone who likes to stay up past 10:30 watching the fireworks of others. Seems to rain there every day, hardly surprising when you are at the edge of a rain forest. Area beaches are very nice for walking. The "bathrooms" were two porta-potties. We got a key card for the one bath/showerhouse at another park which is separated from this one by the resort, and is very busy. We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

If you don't like dogs, you may want to stay somewhere else. Dogs are not leashed. That said, this is a wonderful park with a stunning setting. Our site was directly across the interior road from the beach. Gravel interior road, gravel sites. There's a small grocery store on site, as this park is 14 miles from Forks. We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We loved this spot. Yes, it's a big gravel parking lot, but you are right at the beach, and the view is amazing. First Beach is really beautiful, with sea stacks, rocks, and lots of dead trees (one was large enough to walk inside of). It's a really picturesque spot. It's a popular destination for seasonal surfers, and there is lots of partying, fireworks, etc. going on at night, but everyone was friendly to us, and we really enjoyed it. It's also very close to Second Beach is a must-see with some nice rock formations and a few nice hikes. (Keep track of tides, though, as there are places where you can get trapped at high tide.) To make reservations, we had to call the nearby Quileute Oceanside Resort, and that's also where we checked in. On check-in, they gave us a pass for showers at the Oceanside Resort, but we didn't use it. All the utilities worked fine. We got marginal Verizon coverage (good enough for voice, but data was slow). It's remote. The closest serious grocery is about 20 miles away in Forks (but there's a small general store at the park for basics), and gas is much more expensive here than in Forks, so I'd stock my tank and fridge before coming in. All-in-all, I would jump at the chance to stay again. We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

The location is the best part of this site. Walk right on to the beach. We had a fire on the beach and watched the local fireworks. Campground was full but quiet. It would have been a ten if it had WIFI. Cell service with Verizon but not AT&T. We would come back to this park. Remote and lovely. We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Location, location, LOCATION! There aren't too many campgrounds where you can park literally 50 yards from the ocean. This is one of them. Basic park on gravel with large sites tucked into the trees. 50 amps and full hookups makes this park comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer. We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is right on First Beach in La Push. The view is amazing and you can sleep to the sounds of the ocean. A lot of surfers here, so fun to watch. Very quiet at night. Has okay laundry facilities. Pay for the shower though, but not a big deal. No Wi-Fi or even phone service in campground, but you can walk up the beach and get phone service. This is not for luxury but if you want to camp close to the ocean this is it. You can also rent surfing equipment on weekends and give it a try. Diesel is very expensive here and it is pretty remote. We were in a 40-footer. The sites were ample and our view was the ocean. The dogs could go on the beach with no leashes. It was a beautiful site. We would stay here again and recommend it to others. We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

I have to paritally agree with review #1. The staff in the store were very friendly and helpful. We didn't experience any fireworks problems. Although there were signs stating they weren't allowed from February to June or something like that. The area was patrolled through out the night by police. Camping is different everywhere. We camped in a tent/van. Not all sites are smooth or free of rocks and all that, so you've got to have the right gear and be prepared. I think its pretty kid friendly. Again preparation/planning. Do your homework. We liked it and so did our kids. (ages 12-5-4-19months.) We look forward to going back again soon. We camped at Quileute Lonesome Creek RV Park in a Tent.
