Jun 2019 - $25.00
This is an update to a previous (2016) review. The quality of the facilities, and the apparent attempt to provide what is likely subsidized housing, is on a continuous decline. We stay here at least twice a year, every year, for periods ranging from a week to several weeks, and this “campground is in free fall! It’s now starting to look like they’re moving the homeless RV’ers from Seattle into the Fairgrounds. It’s certainly not a place I’d feel comfortable bringing a family into anymore. Continuing issues include 20psi water pressure, rabbit waste (pellets) EVERYWHERE, lack of quality electrical service (the outlet boxes nailed to stumps are only 20Amp!), and there is not a level site in the entire campground! The South end of Whidbey Island could really use a quality RV Park! - John R
Jun 2016 - $25.00
Stayed here due to a lack of any other options on So. Whidbey. There are no definitive parking guidelines, just primitive pedestals, which allows people to park anywhere. The field where you park is covered with rabbit pellets, a function of the mass of loose rabbits on the grounds. A 4H function brought people in that created a sardine parking situation, but worse, some people brought their horses into the RV parking area next to the RVs and proceeded to groom their horses in the area with the RVs. Health Dept should visit this site, but it's owned by the county. - John R
Oct 2015 - $25.00
Sites are un-numbered, scattered about a field. You are close to a road, but it is quiet. The place is crawling with rabbits (which have escaped during previous fairs, apparently), so your pets will probably love it. Port-a-potties are provided for your convenience. - hikinghack

This is a surprise that no one has wrote a review. Classic Washington State Park, large old growth trees, with level sites hard to find, some really good big site for 30' or more, but in the upper loop thou. I would walk the other lower loop in before driving in. This time of year the lower loop is only open. Camp host is visible, and helpful, my site 35, large, flat. Park has no power, or water. Fill water at dump station. Cell coverage is spotty, but good on the beach. Lots of good hiking trails, with beautiful view points. Park has a boat launch, picnic areas. Also has another day use are just before entering the many camping area. Short hike 1.9 miles to Cama Beach State Park. This park has no camping, but beach cabins to return, and care. This was a old beach resort, and the state has preserved beautifully. I will be back for sure. - NXTSTOP

Sep 2016 - $31.00
Small campground with yurts, RV sites and tent camping. Some sites don't have water. On bluff, steep walk to beach, parking available at beach. Nice Puget Sound beach, rocky shore, fairly urban. Host had minimal presence but clean, and quiet after 10 pm. - Llucky10
Aug 2010 - $28.00
Small park on Puget Sound Waterfront site. No waterfront campsites. One restroom for the park. Water at spigots in 3-4 locations around park. Electric connections are located such that at back-in sites electric is on the left, while pull through sites electric is on the right. This is the reverse of all campgrounds we have ever been to. If you select this park, bring very long extra extension cords. Excellent park for tents. Some Yurts are available. Park ranger service is inattentive due to budget cuts. Camp host was not visibly present. - jake blake
Mar 2010 - $25.00
Very nice county park. The rangers patrol regularly and make sure everything is as it should be. The sites are very spacious and there are a lot of trees to provide shade. The water is a short but rigorous hike downhill where there is a very nice park for walking the dog or sitting by the shore. The beach is rocky. Overall we enjoyed this campground very much. - gary855

Aug 2018 - $58.00
We stayed here August of 2018 in a class A motohome. This park should score five stars except it is run by poor managers. Pro: Clean, quiet, no run down units and excellent WiFi. Con: Bate and switch reservations, does not honor their web site prices, over priced at $58/night (web sites says $40) monthly at $1,450.00 (web site says $650), arrogant and deceitful managers. We found the residents helpful and friendly, but were nervous about upsetting the managers and getting asked to leave. We would liked to have stayed a month but were glad to just get out. - Dixster
Jul 2017 - $52.00
The woman running the park is very rude. The WiFi was terrible. There were some docks that were fun to go on, if you could get over the high possibility that there will be a board that'll fall through and you'll plummet into the water. We stayed one night and had to leave. No refunds, even if there's an emergency! - rvlover653
May 2017 - $39.00
The park itself is a nice park and has a great location. The manager however is not a friendly person and has of recently took to shouting at the guests and making terrible comments. She has recently been charging guests for alleged speeding violations in the park. The park has amenities such as a community building with washers and dryers and a dayroom. You have to get your own change as the manager will not provide it. The dayroom has pretty much been off limits. There has been some guests who enjoy drinking excessively and making a lot of noise during quiet hours along with a member of the park staff. Not much activity goes on here unless you bring it yourself. - Sparkymarv

This campground really revolves around activities on Lake Goodwin. Only one real trail to explore which takes off as you exit the park kind of close to the paybooth. The other trails/paths just get you from campground to day use/lakeshore. Campsites are can be quite shady but not a lot of privacy from your neighbors, and in our case muddy. Hours long downpours created huge puddles. Our picnic table was rotting with chunks of wood missing and smelled moldy. We never sat at it or put anything on it. Hopefully an upgrade is coming as neighboring sites had much newer tables. A huge improvement of the lakefront day use area with fishing pier, swim area, boat launch and docks is less than a year old and is beautiful. Not too busy mid week. I'd come back if the weather was good and I had a way to utilize the lake. There is an $8.00 reservation fee which is not represented in the above price. - flaymingyon
Aug 2018 - $34.00
I made the mistake of staying here on a weekend in the summer. My site was surrounded by around 20 tents across 4 sites with many, many children. This is probably true of any public park in the summer. Because of the volume of people, the restrooms were pretty bad. The camp host was very generous with firewood and was willing to deal with noisy campers. I would stay again but on a week day in the summer. It has free wifi! - Thedogsma
Sep 2016 - $48.00
Filthy bathroom. Woman's handicap shower wouldn't lock. $0.50 for 3 minutes of shower but can't control water temp which was HOT. Our premium site had no trees and was very close to other sites. Expected more for $48 a night. - Bob and Dar

Campground is full of people who live here with dirty old trailers and motorhomes. Makes it look like at homeless encampment. Buildings look unkept and everybody has an attitude. - Jim Daniel
Sep 2017 - $44.00
The sites are way too close together making it awkward to sit outside and talk. The lady at the front desk is very rude and did not address our concern about being locked out. - Maya112
Aug 2014 - $40.00
Another campground that wants to be a resort! Spaces are pretty tight for those with big rigs (motor homes or travel trailers) in spite of the pull-thru ability in several. Small children were playing on interior roads on scooters and bicycles before 7 AM. So much for solitude and quiet for campers. Permanent and long term residents spread throughout the park, not confined to a particular area. Sites are on grass (not a great feature considering the annual rainfall in the area), and water faucets are at ground level which makes it difficult to hook up. Experienced "vandalism" twice in 18 hours. While away from the site someone opened the electricity box cover and removed pulled my cord out of the receptacle and laid the cord on the ground. Neighbors claimed innocence and no knowledge. Entry gate locked at 10 PM and a $5 deposit is required for a card to be able to open it after hours. They're "pet friendly," but keep that pet on a leash! - grandflic

This heavily forested CG snuggles against the shore of Lake Ki, a popular weekend destination for fishermen, kayakers and families who want to play in the water. It was busy during our one week stay. Quiet hours were respected and the tent camping crowd was quiet and well behaved. We found the CG a cool and shady base camp for exploring Seattle and surrounding area; very relaxing after returning from a hectic day of tourism. All shopping needs are within easy reach, as are two top-shelf casinos. To be sure, this is no resort with concrete pull-through pads, paved roads or curbside trash pickup. If that's what you need to enjoy your visit, keep on driving. It did, however, provide ample room for our 38-foot rig, reliable & convenient full hook-ups, grass, picnic table, fire ring and rustic solitude. Bring your own entertainment though, in the form of DVDs or satellite TV; OTA reception is limited to a few C-grade channels. While cable TV is listed as available, it's only for long-term residents. Wi-Fi is typical on-again/off-again RV park quality-our Verizon hotspot worked better. Easy access to Interstate 5 made this a convenient location to everything without being close to the clogged traffic of Seattle suburbs. - TMN-15
Jun 2019 - $45.00
Campground managers and/or employees are largely invisible here. There is a booth - basically a toll booth - at the campground entrance, and that's where you pay. You pay outside at the window, while the employee is inside the booth. There is no camp store. Interaction between employees and campers is non-existent. We stayed here for six nights and never saw any employees in the campsites except for the trash pickup. The restrooms/showerhouse are located a long way from the campsites. There are porta-potties near some of the campsites, but that's not much of an alternative. There were at least two days where the restrooms/showerhouse were not cleaned. On the days they were cleaned, the trash in the restrooms was not emptied. It was not emptied during our entire stay. When the restrooms/showerhouse were cleaned, it was done at 9:30 AM, which is right when people are often preparing to leave for the day's activities. On the day we arrived, I informed one of the employees that the hand dryer in the men's showerhouse wasn't working. It still wasn't working when our stay had ended. I wiped my hands dry on my shirt all week long. I smelled marijuana smoke in the campsites on at least two occasions, but - hey - that's legal in Washington. The wifi was good, but only if you sat next to the transmitter, which is in the middle of the campground. There was no wifi in the campsites. Here are some positives. The location is good. It's within an hour's drive (if the traffic is good) from downtown Seattle, and yet you are near all needed shopping and restaurants, while at the same time you are pretty much in the countryside. Lake Ki itself is small but is a beautiful lake with very clear water. We experienced almost no mosquitoes at all. Our campsite was nice, although tent campers were nearby and sometimes walked through or near our campsite. - 96 Rockwood
Apr 2019 - $45.00
We were very disappointed in this campground. It has turned into a dilapidated park for full time RV's. At least 90% of the park has been turned over to full time trailers. The park is poorly maintained; facilities are shabby, and the sites are unkept. Although we were denied access until 2:00 pm so they could clean up the area; we found garbage, toys and cigarette butts in our sites. The fire pits were not cleaned out. Tent campers are squeezed in right behind the few RV spots and would have to walk through our area to access their sites. They only provide outhouses in the area where we were; which was by the lake. The bathroom w/showers is up front by the office and not easily accessible to the 'campers'. The rates seemed very high for the service provided. We are an experienced group of 7 RV travelers with a mixture of trailers, motorhomes and 5th wheels. We are used to most any kind of campgrounds. Will not be returning here. - Harleyrvtravel

Feb 2009 - $23.00
I wanted to stay at the state park, but found this little gem right before the state park. Turns out this place was cheaper! (The rate is the amount including sales tax.) I had to hunt down the manager, but once I found him, he was friendly and I got checked in easily! Cash or check only, no credit cards. The current manager loves to tell stories, just name something and he has a story! This place is "just the basics" and I'm not kidding! No cable, no laundry, no showers, but there was one porta-potty. On the other hand, it has great landscaping, with lots of trees. The RV slots have adequate spacing between them, except for the "pull-through" spots. The "pull-through" spots are in the center away from the trees (in case you have satellite) and are arranged in the "front and back twosie" kind of thing. Although there were lots of RVs there, at the time I was there, only one RV was in each "twosie" so it wasn't bad. It was very quiet! Although there were some "perms" there, they weren't real obvious. I wouldn't recommend bringing families here, nothing for children to do. However, if you just want a quiet getaway with no responsibility and not having to go anywhere, this was perfect. And may I say again, cheaper than the state park! - DXSMac

Free overnight stay. Easy to get to. Parking lot . Clean and fairly level. - Jdtravel
Feb 2019 - $1.00
As others have stated this is a parking lot with no services behind the casino. It also has no fee. You have to register with the casino and get a ONE card to so security can record you have in fact registered. If you don't have a card they put $25 on your new card to encourage you to gamble. I believe there is a 3 day maximum stay but I don't think it's enforced. It's better than Walmart as they do have security and the on/off from I5 is easy. We will use this site again when traveling south. - lrp374
Sep 2018 - $1.00
The casino allows free 3 day camping behind the casino in 2 paved parking lots with marked sites. You have to enter from the street behind Quil Ceda Blvd. It is not marked well. You are allowed to stay for 3 days. First you must get a player's club card and call security so someone can come to your site and "register" you. You are required to gamble at the casino or you might be asked to leave. There is a sign at the entrance that details their rules and the number to call to get registered. We arrived early on Saturday of Labor Day weekend about noon. There were maybe 20 empty spaces which filled up in the afternoon. RV's continued to arrive until well after 10. They rode around and had to leave as all of the sites well full. - mrracechaser

We stayed here based on previous reviews...and weren't disappointed. The park is clean, check-in was quick and friendly. Our site, 31, was wide and easy to get in and out of with our 37' trailer. We did hear some road noise but it's just from the road in/out of Port Ludlow. This is a shady, shady park with very little sun even on the sunniest days. The perimeter spaces seem to all be long term residents, but most are tidy. - Wendi53
Aug 2019 - $35.00
The host was friendly and helpful getting us settled. The resort is really more like a state park campground, very wooded, quiet, and secluded. Interior roads are paved and easily navigable. Sites are gravel/rock and plenty large enough for rig and tow vehicle, with plenty of forested areas in between. We had a fire ring and a nice picnic table, as do, I believe, all of the sites. There is little to no OTA TV, and no Cable. Our Verizon coverage was fair, allowing us to use our data, depending on the time of day. We did not use the restrooms. This is a good location to visit the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas. You are within 30 minutes of Port Townsend, Poulsbo, Kingston and a variety of other towns. Many of those locations have ferry service to other parts of Washington. The strength of this park is its central location, allowing you to explore other regions. - Vegas Trippers
Sep 2018 - $40.00
We loved this part. Beautiful wooded sites, quite and peaceful. No traffic noise at all. Manager was very nice. This park even had good Wifi!! I have nothing but praise for this park. Cant wait to go back again. - Mikeflys13
