This park is easy to get in and out and easy to navigate. Roads paved and sites are gravel. Utilities are at the back of the site and worked well. The restroom was clean. Laundry is good price and clean. We wanted to use the WiFi but it was not working. Verizon worked fine. They've been making some improvements to the park such as new gravel on some sites and running new electricity and posts at some sites. This work on the sites has eliminated, at least for now, any grass in those sites with hopes that they will reseed. There is a lot of noise from traffic and train whistles. - cwier

This park is easy to get to and navigation within is easy. Interior roads are paved and sites are grass. Sites are pretty level and close together. Utilities are all at the back of the site. Did not use the cable or Wifi. Verizon worked pretty well. Restrooms were clean. Price is ROD. - cwier

This is an older park behind a more modern park in Elma. We have stayed here before and feel it has gone downhill over the years. Mostly dirt and dead grass spaces with full hookups. It still is a great place to stay overnight. Very quiet and peaceful. All sites are back-in. We were told to choose a space and set up. Lots of people there - it was almost full. A lot of full-time RVs, which were old, but neatly cared for. We only stayed overnight, so we didn't do anything. There are some fast food places for a quick bite to eat. We would stay here again if in the area. - WSKeifer

Spent a couple of days here visiting friends. This is our second time to stay and love this park and it's management personnel. The park is very clean and well maintained. All the efforts from their gardener is an extra bonus. Our site well suited our needs and all utilities were properly located and worked well. From the moment you arrive you are treated as family. Our stay was very enjoyable and we look forward to the next. The cookies are awesome. - LarryB

This was a great place to stay on our travels through Washington. Everything was well taken care of and clean. The park itself was quiet day and night even though highway 12 is nearby. The laundry room was immaculate and the equipment was all in good working order. There were flowers throughout the park as well as shade trees. Sites were large with room for our 5th wheel and truck to park side-by-side. Employees were super. All that we met were friendly and went out of their way to help. At least half of the park is long term campers, but we transients are for the most part in a separate area. That said, the long term campers were very friendly and made us feel at home. They offer cable here, but we used our Dish and it worked well. Verizon MiFi and AT&T cell phones worked fine, too. We did not have any OTA TV in this park. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. Rate reflects our Passport America membership rate. - Bobbi1948

The staff was great, very friendly and helpful (Work Campers). Getting into our back in site was a little tight. We were close on either side and the sites are back to back, I had to push my tow dolly in and back the coach over it. There was just enough room to park the car in front of the coach. The cable TV worked well and had good Verizon service. We only stayed a night as we were traveling to Olympic NP and would stay again if in the area, just not more than a couple of days. - Tfrout

Sep 2019 - $38.00
We spent 3 nights here in August and really enjoyed it. After the gravel parks of the Alaska highway, a nice and level concrete pad was nice to see. Registration is in the casino. I was happy to have read previous reviews that recommended parking and unhitching in the gravel lot just west of the RV park, and then just walking over to registration. Roads are in good shape and easily navigable, although I can see how people parking in the street can cause issues. We did not experience that when we were there. Our site (#10) is listed as 50' long, but we had the back end of the coach hang over the grass, so we were able to park our toad in front of the coach without it hanging out into the street. Our site was in the corner close to the WA 108 and the entrance, but road noise was not noticeable. Our grass lawn was spacious, but the grass was a bit high. All utilities were fine, plus our site was satellite friendly. No enclosed dog park but plenty of places to walk the pooches. Trash containers were too small. They charged my credit card when I made the reservation of the cost without tax, and then the tax was charged after departure, which is odd. I would definitely stay there again. - mtmsf

The park is not big rig friendly. Check in was at the hotel lobby. Make sure that you get a site that is large enough for your rig. - bwandwhitey
Jul 2019 - $46.00
This is a nice campground for a casino parking lot. There is grass between all of the sites. The outside loop sites are all back-in and three sides of that are all small back-in sites. We have a 23' travel trailer and we didn't have enough room to keep our car parked in front. One side of back-in sites were long with large motorhomes. Then the middle is all pull throughs. They are big enough for motorhomes and 5th wheels but not big enough for toads and trucks. We witnessed a lot of really bad drivers trying to pull into their spots and they were just crushing the beautiful grass and sprinkler heads. I can see why people complain that they can't maneuver around this park - when people insist on keeping their toads and tow vehicles near their sites they stick out into the road and make things very difficult. Security is constantly walking around and asking you to move your trucks/toads to the parking lot. The internet was really fast. The bathrooms were really nice and clean. The laundry was clean and had great prices - 75 cents to wash and 75 cents to dry. The park is very quiet at night - you might hear an occasional train in the distance or a logging truck but it didn't wake us up. Yes, you have to check in at the hotel and then go drive to your site. We parked right in front of the hotel's side door near the check in desk and then moved once we checked in. It was simple. There appears to be a boondock gravel lot on the far end of the property just past the RV sites. It was pretty crowded, too. - OurBigAdventure

A Very Nice, spacious park in a quiet woodland setting. - Momads
Aug 2014 - $27.00
Rate reflects price for a weekend visit (not including the online reservation fee). It's a small park in a slightly out-of-the-way place, but still proved very popular. The day use area has a mile or two of hiking trails, along with picnic areas. Campground was fully booked when we visited, with several tents and two or three cars parked at each site. Fortunately a state park ranger made a couple rounds in the evening, along with volunteer hosts who were very attentive. A handful of utility sites are on a loop by the entrance, but the most secluded sites are in the back of the park. Creek runs by many of the sites. However you are not allowed to set up tents on the grassy banks. Facilities were disappointing, even by state park standards. The bathhouse seems to be original to the park, and was very dirty and smelly. The coin-operated shower in the men's room doesn't drain properly, causing water to pool by the toilets and sinks. - RVNed
Aug 2006 - $21.00
This campground was very busy and noisy. I'm sure during the off season it would be a great place to stay. The utility sites are very close together and dusty. We were in site #2 and had 3 trees next to us which gave us more room than some of the other sites. There are only 6 utility sites and the rest are standard. The dump station is located just outside the park going north. This is a first come first serve park and if you get here by 2pm midweek you shouldn't have a problem getting in. There are 2 restrooms and 1 shower along with a very small store which carries ice and dry goods like soap and sponges, they do not stock food. We would stay here again as an overnighter. - jannie5

This is an alternative kind of camp ground for us. You must be an Elk member to stay here. It is not a public campground. My overall reaction to staying here for 2 nights is positive, in spite of what I may now explain.
The layout is interesting - not all that level and definitely not groomed. There are 4 or 5 pull through sites and 15 or so back in sites. All are E/W only. Some of the interior roads are in fairly good shape, others not so much. There is a dump site as you leave; the power was only 30 amp or less. (It was over 90 degrees each day - we ran the generator.) There is wi-fi at no cost - not bad but a little spotty. Our DirecTv worked as well as some local channels on the wind-up antenna. There were only 5 or 6 other rigs in the park when we were here. The price was terrific! All on the honor system - put the money in the envelope and the envelope in the tube.
We never met the camp host, however we were there for the Thursday night Bingo in the lodge basement, where we also found a fairly decent hamburger and sandwich menu. The lodge isn't open often - Thursday and Friday nights primarily. The road out is scary - we will be exiting thru the entrance, thank you very much! We might come back here. We have friends in the area and like the price. - BethnBubba

You must be an Elks Lodge Member. The sites are fairly large and easy to access. There is a large grassy area where we ran our two dogs. beautiful views and the lodge is very nice.
Camp host provided a welcome package, we enjoyed her company and think she is the best host we've ever met. Enjoyed Dinner during Thursday Bingo and Had fun at the Friday Country Dance. Sad that we missed the live Band on Saturday. Volunteer staff very helpful and friendly. - Camper2541

Absolutely beautiful view of the Olympic Range. Very peaceful setting yet centrally located to Highway 101 as you journey towards Hoodsport from Olympia, or visa versa near the major shopping areas of Shelton. There are lots of really beautiful trails and opportunities for biking, horseback riding as well as sky diving! We stayed during a local festival, Dragonfest, and were so pleased with how accommodating, friendly, and helpful the staff were. Club house facilities and plenty of interesting things to do in the area! - shahowis

After crossing the Canadian border and rain to arrive here was so wonderful. It's away from traffic and tall trees around your site . And it had a lot of children. . - Chicabunny

On a whim, my family and I visited the park over a weekend in July with another family. Sites are very tight. I have a 24 foot trailer and there was a bit of jockeying to get it in the site. Other than that, park was great. They offer a boat launch and moorage. Fishing was fantastic. They have a large water trampoline and nice swimming area. Lots of grass and games. Very well maintained and watered. Gets a bit crowded during hot days as it is very popular for day use. - Danald

Showers/bathrooms are rarely used but management unlocked the women's. Good water pressure but I did clean the shower floor before using it. Several sites are in the open with easy access but no trees. We chose a grassy area in the trees. There was lots of room to maneuver and get close to the utilities. This is a busy sportsman's club with trap shooting and a rifle/pistol range so be prepared for the noise. When the range was closed however it was extremely quiet and peaceful. We even watched a few deer graze not far from our site. - Betsy_02
Aug 2017 - $20.00
Evergreen is one of the largest clay target shooting ranges in the Western U.S. If you like Trap (36 Traps!), Skeet & Sporting Clays, this is a spot you want to visit. There are also pistol and rifle shooting facilities available. The RV park is older. Very old looking equipment. Looks like it has been there for 30+ years. Some spots are in the woods, others (Most of them) are on a large field with no shade. Many of the spots only offer 20 Amp service. I had to look around for a while to find a 30 Amp hookup. During the day you will likely hear lots of gunfire, but evenings are peaceful. There are several RVs parked that look like they are there permanently. Staff is only available on certain days, so I'm not sure how you pay for your stay if you show up on days that don't have the office open. Staff was friendly and accommodating. - vtofa

May 2018 - $25.00
We loved this campground. Quite small with only one loop which was perfect for the kids. Beautiful, lush trails that loop around the lake and into the nearby city park trail system. The lake is great for fishing in a non combustible engine boat or kayak. The swimming area is separate from the campground with a small park, bathrooms and picnic area. Campsites vary in size - pads are smaller and not good for over 30 foot trailers. Great level tent pads. Make reservations ahead of time and get a large lakeside site! - lewlindafoerster
Jun 2013 - $12.00
Beautiful state park with excellent hiking trails and lush, shady sites. Not for big rigs. There were a few 30' or larger RVs but most of the parking pads [lined with logs] are narrow but the sites are roomy and quite private. Gorgeous, well kept grounds and the lake is for non-motorized watercraft only, so quiet prevails. Excellent Verizon signal. Will definitely visit again. - mockturtle
