This was a nice park, but it is a Thousand Trails park. This means that the facilities will be older, and the sites are not reserved meaning when you get there you have to drive around trying to find an open spot. We had the misfortune of arriving on Memorial Day weekend, and it was quite a challenge to find a spot. It was like a race to the spot we ended up with with another couple. Most of the park is NOT satellite friendly as the park is heavily forested, which makes it very beautiful. Also no OTA TV. Due to the holiday it was very full with many kids. While it made it very noisy, it also means that they were having a buffet breakfast at the club house, a nice BBQ lunch grill, and other activities. The site is 30A and water only. There is honey wagon service for a fee. A word of warning about power quality: our power protection kicked out several times due to over and under voltage. I would say it is mandatory to have power protection to protect your electronics and unit systems. The location is gorgeous, located right on the bay. There is plenty to do in the area and we had a very nice stay. - AZ_Travelers

New to RVing with a 30 foot TT. As others have said, if you have a longer rig, do NOT "just go down any street because there are no dead ends." As it is first-come-first-served, even in this off-season, the best sites may be taken by small RVs and in one case a site with sewer hookup was taken by a tent camper!!! We have stayed here twice as it is close and we are new to camping and have friends who come here all the time. Once you get in, it is quiet and you feel secluded which is nice if that's what you are looking for (which we are). It seems like a great camp for kids and pets. Our friends have both and usually stay in the spots near the one big open area. There's also the beach to explore too, and of course, going into town is a short drive. Do not expect cell service. While there is likely good service for any of the carriers somewhere in the park, where there isn't good service, there is almost no service. For example, there is about a 100-foot stretch that I found 5 bars of Sprint 4G-LTE and even started streaming a Netflix show to verify. However, the rest of the park I am roaming with only 1-2 bars and can't even get a Facebook feed to refresh. My friends have other carriers and while the "good spot" is different for each, it's the same general story. Wifi is only available at the club-house. Especially during the off-season, you should be able to find a spot. It may not be where or what you expected, but it will be adequate. Maintenance is adequate, and cleanliness is adequate. Hard to navigate larger rigs. I recommend walking around to find a spot. Our first time, after several close calls, once settled we strolled the park looking for potential spots for the next time. This made the second visit here MUCH easier. It must be said that the pump stations (there are three lanes) are convenient and easy to access/use and there are grey water dumps near the restrooms throughout the park. - MilesKB
Jul 2018 - $1.00
The park is about 12 miles off of I-5. It does have views of the bay from near the pool, laundry and store which was the only place we could get Verizon cell service. Were only able to get a few channels OTA which pixelated and most of the time unwatchable. The site was a back in and heavily shaded. Some of the campers have more than the allotted number of vehicles so there are tight squeezes getting down some of the roads. - mrracechaser

This park is located along the I-5 corridor and freeway noise is kind of an issue on the West side but on the East side it's very peaceful. The spaces are all large and woodsy. We are able to park our rig, truck and 16ft boat at our site. There are lots of trails you can walk around the park to the club house, pool, hot tub, horse shoes, basketball court and playground. This park is very family oriented during the Summer and have a mix of Thousand Trails members who hop back and forth from La Conner for their 7 nights out of the park. There are also a few regular Canadians who own their sites and visit the park every other weekend or so and maintain their sites impeccably. The staff here is super friendly and all work very hard to keep the grounds and bathrooms clean. Entering the park is a little tricky. You literally have to drive through the Skagit casino parking lot, make a right at the smoke shop and drive around 1/2 mile to reach the welcome center. 5 miles an hour is strictly enforced! As it should be, there are lots of children and anything over 5 mph kicks up the dust. We joke and call it the Thousand Dusty Trails! All cell reception is THE BEST! There are cell towers everywhere around here. Come here to get out and explore! There is so much to see and do in this area. - Glamour Glampers

Tight entrance and sites ; difficult to make turns! Sight was level. Paved roads, gravel sites. Wifi worked good. - CSM Carolyn
Jul 2019 - $1.00
Being a new TT member, and to this park, my family was impressed with how it was laid out, ample selection of sites and very friendly campers and workers there. We will certainly come back again for another visit. In the mornings, the breakfasts were just awesome! We didn't get out to go shopping outside the camp, etc. Drive slow through the campground, 5 mph. Enforced. They have an onsite store too! Power tower was in good shape all worked fine. Was middle of the road with the trailer so had plenty of room available. Sewer dumps were available on the way out of the park. All worked well there, running water pretty clean. - Bookboy

While the park is lovely and a great place in the Summer months for family with little ones (tons of neat stuff to do with and without them...huge jumping pillow) The sites, while just long enough for 24ft and truck, in the rain, the sites turn to mud and wet pine needles. But the nights are very quiet. - 1yearusa
Aug 2019 - $46.00
One of the nicer KOAs we have been too. Part of this campground is also Thousand Trails campground. Plenty of room between sites. Lots of mature (over a hundred years old) trees. They need to do some trimming for taller rigs. Had to cut some branches that were brushing the top of our 13'6'' fiver. Plenty of road room for big rigs. Water pressure was good as was 50amp service. No cable, sat was blocked by several trees, no OTA TV. Internet was through a third party provider, Jabba, and cost extra ($15 per week). - BBGuy
Jun 2019 - $46.00
From my notes about this park: Overpriced! Had to pay $15 for good WiFi service (weekly rate though we were only here 3 days). Used two leveling blocks under the tires. Too many children running around for my liking (to be fair it was the weekend before the Fourth of July). No cable or over the air TV available. Many trees to block access to satellites. We couldn't even get a signal from Sirius/XM on our radio. Not sure if I'd return here. - RVRenter

We've camped at this park whenever we can starting in 1982. Beach access, good roads nearby for bicycling, and the fairly private woodsy sites are what we like. Currently construction is happening on a new welcome/pay booth. Rather noisy. The park workers were using blowers and mowers so that added to the noise. Some jet noise from Whidbey Island can be heard. Pretty quiet campers during mid-week. - flaymingyon
Jul 2019 - $40.00
Navigating the somewhat narrow paved access roadways should pose no problems, even for larger rigs. However, many of the sites are laid out at 90 degrees, not diagonal, to the access roadways. I think the reservation website does a good job of noting what size rigs are and are not appropriate for each site. The water supply was very palatable; it was not excessively chlorinated. The staff did a really great job on keeping the restrooms clean. We liked the shower layout in the older restroom near Site 30 better than the shower layout in the newer restroom near Site 15. There are two faucets at the sinks. One faucet has warm tempered water. I "assume" the other one was cold water. As I was using the sink to wash my hands and face, I didn't try the cold side. : ) I expect the brushy areas have bugs in season, but there were none in July. We liked the open lawn playfield area in front of Sites 10 to 30. It would be less dreary in the winter than many of Sites 39 to 76, the back loop in the trees. Sites 1 through 30 have water and power. I believe that the rest are dry camping sites. - Civilguy
Sep 2018 - $30.00
Nice park off beaten path and still close to major cities in the area. Friendly and attentive staff. Older facilities, but clean and well maintained. Firewood, ice and "s'mores packs" available at the check in station. Sites 3 & 4 are the best in the park. - Trespasser

Sep 2019 - $40.00
The park is fairly basic but is a safe, clean and well-fitted stop for an overnight or a few days if you have things to do in the area. This is a sister park to Pioneer Trails (Anacortes) and it looks like they are making some improvements. There was fresh gravel on the roads and sites and the services were in good repair. Staff was friendly and helpful, and they were able to accommodate a second night for us on the weekend, though understandably we did have to move sites. Washrooms and showers were very clean. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby and easy access off I-5. We were advised to lock up valuables as there is a walking trail along the dike at the back of the property which allows public access. We would stay here again for an overnight when travelling along I-5. If we were staying in the area a few days we might check availability at Pioneer Trails first. - Tony Safari
Aug 2019 - $40.00
The park was very clean and staff very friendly. All W/E/S hookups were fine and easily accessible. The park apparently is under new management and will be / is called Skagit Valley RV. However, the sign out front still says Riverbend RV. I mention this because the new staff still seemed to be getting things figured out with things like Wi-Fi and cable. The park is located directly across the street from Wal-mart which was very convenient for restocking the coach. The camping spots are close together but getting the 40' coach in and out wasn't a problem. Laundry, shower and rest room facilities were very clean. - Kernsie

This is an excellent place to spend the night. I had tried to get reservations somewhere in the area, and stopped at a couple of places which had no room. This park doesn't take reservations a far as I know, but was about half full, when we got there, but filled mostly up by night. Electric and Water and good wi-fi to use with our xfinity account. The camp host was super nice, in a nice park with kids playing. - Russell G

We stay here often as an overnight stop. Bathrooms are up a hill. Very quiet and well maintained. - rolling homeless
Jun 2018 - $25.00
Clean park with access to the river. Quiet area and a very safe area. No dump or sewer hookups but does have water and electricity. A nice 45 minute drive to the North Cascades National Park. Climb the stairs to the restrooms but I didn't go there so I can not share any info on the restrooms. We would definitely stay here again. Good cell LTE service on Verizon and wifi thru our cable provider from Florida using our log on information but also can purchase wifi if needed. - RVing Across America

Close to LaConner which is a cute town. Very touristy. Tulips in bloom so nice to visit now. Park is adequate. Nice office lady. - CheerUp

Not for big rigs! We made reservations and gave our length and put us in a small spot. They put small trailers in their bigger sites. - FLNomads

This is now the La Conner Marina RV Resort, owned by the Port of Skagit County. Did not stay at park. Simply updating information and adding pictures. When entering La Conner turn right on North Third Street by large Port of Skagit County sign. (RV park is not on the sign.) Pool building was removed a few years ago. Laundry/restrooms/showers across the street. Restrooms and showers were clean. Layout of parking has not changed. - ForestWalker

Plain and simple RV sites at the city park. Full hookups including 50 amp service but the sewer connection is only on site 5. There's a total of 5 sites, each parallel to each other in a paved parking lot with only a painted line between each site. There's enough room to extend sliders but not much more. If you want to set up chairs, the whole park is available and it's a very nice park. There's room to walk the dog, have a picnic or just sit in the shade. Overall, a decent site and we'd stay here again if we needed an in-transit site. - fruffiii

Great place to stay..location and access to Hwy 20. (great price on fuel at Chevron in front of Casino) Small park but easy to navigate, and view of the bay. Great internet/tv, and FHU. The Casino is about 500 ft from the RV area...easy walk- and you can use the restrooms in the casino. The back-ins have a better view of the bay..the pull through sites have your rig looking at the casino. - 1yearusa
Sep 2019 - $30.00
Nice park, active casino, although they do not offer a shuttle service from the RV Park to the casino. A train goes by periodically in the back of the lot, but it's doable. Easy access off Hwy 20. Have stayed here before and would stay again. - Nevada Nick
Aug 2019 - $30.00
We haven't been here in 10 years. Even if you are not interested in the casino, this is a good park if all you need is FHU, cable TV, and decent Wi-Fi. Out site was satellite friendly so we didn't bother with the cable. I saw no recycling. - Jerry S
