Sep 2012 - $33.00
First about the rate. We had to pay a $5 non-resident fee (how's that to promote tourism?) and a $6.50 fee for on line reservations (which had a problem so we had to call them to complete the reservation). But the east campground is quite nice. Lots of trees, paved sites, quiet, lake views. We got several TV channels and our VZ broadband worked great! We would come back! - rncordy

This is a National Forest Service campground situated near Early Winters Creek at an elevation of 3,000 ft. That extra elevation is certainly welcome during the summer when the Methow Valley can be an oven. This is a pretty but primitive campground with spacious sites amid some nice firs and Ponderosa pines. The creek is fast flowing and clear, but since the campground is situated up on a bluff above it, access is somewhat limited. There is a maintained trail to the creek however and you can hear the relaxing sounds of the rushing water from many of the sites. This is a great campground for just kicking back and relaxing. Don't expect anything fancy, just peace and quiet. We would definitely stay here again. The rate reflects the fact that we have a Federal Senior Pass giving us a 50% discount. - BruceandKathyWA

Sep 2019 - $40.00
This is our third stay here. We will use this park as our Northern Cascades base as long as we can get a satellite friendly site. Our site was a FHU and everything worked fine. The Wi-Fi was good enough for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The bathroom and laundry facilities are clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only things this park lacks is recreational amenities. - Jerry S
Sep 2019 - $42.00
Big rig friendly. We were there Labor Day weekend when the park was full, yet found it clean, safe, quiet and friendly. Great to be able to walk to town as well as the pioneer museum across the street. Good base for the east side of N Cascades NP. - barbielab
Jul 2019 - $40.00
Really nice place to stay. The staff was excellent and friendly. When I arrived the site reserved was supposed to be satellite friendly but I just could not get reception due to trees. The staff worked and reworked the reservation sheet until they had arranged a different site for me that was great. Can't say enough about how helpful they were. The restrooms are private and kept very clean. The wifi was strong and consistent so all good. Sites are all on grass but seemed to be fine, with lots of space between sites. We will most definitely stay here again. - Phoenixaway

May 2019 - $50.00
We stayed in the original section of Pearrygin Lake State Park. Been coming here for years & it just keeps getting better. We stayed in site #13 which is almost a double wide side. We booked this in December to get a reservation during the busy Mother's Day Weekend (49ers days in Winthrop). Enough room for our RV on the pad and a large tent on the grassy area. We backed all the way to the end which put the bottom edge of our passenger side almost on the hill (sloped up from behind the site). Great water pressure, no problems with electrical hookups. We had marmots on the hill just behind us & deer wandering between campsites early in the morning. Great swimming beach and boat launch area. Quiet at night and dark enough to see plenty of stars. Weekends are popular in the original part of the Park and reservations are hard to come by. You have to book summer spots 6 months in advance to snag one, especially the waterfront sites. Go into town around dusk to view the herds of deer in neighboring fields. Drive slow thru this valley around dusk/dawn or you risk hitting deer - they are thick! - LizzyWA
Aug 2017 - $40.00
Our reservation was for the West loop which as another reviewer stated is not the original park. If we had stayed in the East loop (original park) I would have definitely rated this park above average. There is a night and day different between the two loops. Nice little lake. Good beaches for swimming and water sports. Lake might get crowded with boats on a hot day. Great place for kids. - Dougrc
Jul 2017 - $40.00
June 24, Monday - Pearrygin Lake state Park, 165 sites, water & electricity, site 43, cost $40 This state park has two sections the East and West. The West section was a private campground right on the lake but the sites are close together with services. We stayed in the East campground which was the original state park. Our site was right on the lake, site 43 and a pull through. This campground is popular with swimming, boating, fishing and camping. Many come to stay for the week. It is a nice campground with bathhouses and pay showers. The sites have grass around them and fields are located throughout the campground. This is eastern Washington and it was a beautiful day but very hot. There is a nice steady breeze off the lake. When we got there someone was in our site and they were cutting down some trees in the campground so the road into our loop was closed. We arrived around noon and they have sprinklers around the park. We parked our RV in our site then waited for over two hours while two sprinklers soaked our site and power washed one side of our RV. It was loud and we could not put our slide out or open windows. A park worker finally turned it off. This park is near the adorable western town of Winthrop the cross country in Washington. RV's can not park on the street but there are signs where RV's can park like on route 20 The Big Red Barn Parking Lot. This town is located at the eastern end of the North Cascades National Park scenic byway route 20. - gsnakehill

Aug 2018 - $41.00
Very friendly staff, saw people (cleaning/maintenance workers) out all the time. Location right on the lake, would be great for someone that already owns a jetski or boat as you can launch right there and rent a space on the beach to tie up your watercraft. Biggest disappointment and reason for a 7 instead of 9 is site spaces...ours was TINY! It wasn't difficult to maneuver into our space (long bed with 24' trailer), but we couldn't extend our awning (because of a tree) and the neighbor's picnic table was RIGHT outside our window (the slide has our dinette). Perhaps some of the other sites are larger, so if we were to stay again, we would call and ask for a larger site. It looked like the neighbors on our other side nearly hit a tree with their slide out. We had to disconnect and park the truck perpendicular in front of our RV. - 4Baines
Aug 2017 - $41.00
Situated on Pearygin Lake, a very pretty site. Fairly level sites, close to each other. Full hookups or partial hook-ups. Swimming, fishing, boating, other water sports. Would have given the site 5 stars, if they weren't all packed together so closely. - MalamuteMan
Aug 2016 - $38.00
Upon check-in I was greeted by a very friendly lady. When I asked about backing the trailer into the spot she immediately offered to send someone to help back us in. Boy, was I glad I took her up on it. He had to ask the people next door to move their truck so we had room to maneuver. The places are SO close together. We were in one of the two upper loops. Terrible location. Hard to get into and neighbors within 3 ft of us. If you stay there ask for a site by the lake. They have some pull- thru spots and the spots on the grass have more room between them.
The lake was beautiful and people were boating, SUP, fishing. We enjoyed watching the moon come up over the water and seeing lots of bats catching insects. - Rorygirl

Oct 2018 - $47.00
As many have stated, this is a family park.... We were looking for a one night stop and sort of found it... Noisy... $47 for a site with out dump is not a good rate... They pretty much have the only deal in town... Drove in the next morning for breakfast and found one more rv park, much better, but no advert on the road into town... Will not stay here again.... - Bob Nelson
Aug 2018 - $50.00
As other reviewers have reported, the park itself is very good. It's a family oriented destination park and a nice one at that. My only complaint is with the person at the front desk. I reserved a site with satellite access but was placed in a site with a huge tree. When I asked to be moved two spaces down to a vacant spot with satellite access she said "we don't have satellite here." I tried to explain that I had a satellite dish on the roof of my rv and wanted a spot without a tree blocking and she looked at me like I was from another planet. So I asked again to move to the vacant space and she said it wasn't possible because of reservations. That space sat vacant for our entire three-day stay. - Astilbe46
May 2018 - $45.00
We stay here over the Memorial Day weekend and the park was packed. The driveways are easy to navigate gravel and well maintained. The sites are mostly level, gravel and grass with a picnic table and fire pit. Some sites are shaded some are sunny. The WiFi was weak when the park was full but worked well on Monday night when most people had departed. The utilities are well placed and worked well. We will stay here again. - 2WArvers
