If you use dish network, it will work. This is a small park on a hilltop with only a few small trees. We stopped by for one night en route to VA. All sites are pull through. If you have good leveling equipment for several inches, select row A or B for a gorgeous view of a cattle pasture on the valley below. If you want a very level site select row C. The view of the WV mountains is great from all sites. The cinder block showers were pretty clean - I would use them. There is no dog park, but the field out front is almost one acre, where I broke the rules (not holding the leash) and played fetch with my 3 dogs. You know your dogs, use good judgement. The water hookups work fine, you just have to push down and twist on the whole spout to get the water to flow. We didn't see much around here. The internet was good enough to slowly upload photos to social media. It is self check-in and you drop the payment through the slot in the door of the office. Owners were available by phone. The interstate was clearly visible about 300 yards away. Motorcycles and semis could clearly be heard outside, but inside our RV, I really didn't notice the noise. No type of fire ring or table. There was one small structure in the A row that looked like a picnic shelter. I would stay here again if I were passing through. I liked the photo opportunities here. We camped at Hampton's Summer Wind RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Google maps did not recognize 2204 Lawn Road. Use I-64 exit 150 and follow the camping signs. When you reach the Exxon station at exit 150, you are only 200-300 yards from the entrance.

This park is okay for an overnighter. It's small, sits up on a hill overlooking some WV farmland and hills - very pretty scenery. The sites are laid out slanted for easy pull through, but they are on a slight hill. They ask that you come in the 2nd gate so when you go to park your utilities are uphill from your rig. If you were to come in from the 1st entrance and pull in to your sight then your utilities would be on the downhill sight. Makes a lot more sense to me. We couldn't hook up our sewer because it was uphill from our connection. It's clean, friendly and easy access to I-64. No amenities. The price is too high, in my opinion, because it is just a sight with utilities - nothing else. We would stay there again. We camped at Hampton's Summer Wind RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A few sites on top of the hill with beautiful views. Very small sites. Full of pipeline workers. Neighbor sewer connection about 4' from our steps. No picnic table. We were only able to get a 30 amp site and had to unhook as site was too short for fifth wheel and truck and too unlevel. Owner is friendly. We stayed a few years ago and it was great. We will find somewhere else in the future. There are few choices traveling through West Virginia. We camped at Hampton's Summer Wind RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Owner had assured us twice that the lot was a level one. Not so, if we had even attempted to level our back wheels would have been off the ground 6 inches or more! The place was crowded and full of people working for the Pipeline company. Some lots were kept up others not so much. People were friendly and the area views were real nice. Manager is off site and only comes by at night. This was the best we could get in the area. Next trip will be planned to drive thru WV We camped at Hampton's Summer Wind RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Great little park on top of a hill in rural WV. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful; he came out to meet us and showed us our sight without having to go into the office. This is a very minimalist park - full hookups but to tables and not much space between the slots, but the grounds are very well kept. We were here on a moonless night the first night of the Orionid meteor shower. There was very little ambient light except several of the other coaches kept their porch lights on all night somewhat ruining the darkness. We camped at Hampton's Summer Wind RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stay at Summer Wind when we are visiting family in the area. The camping host is a gem! Very professional and always ready to answer your questions. This is basically an overnight stop, but we enjoy it being a quiet and scenic place to relax. We camped at Hampton's Summer Wind RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good stopover park right off the interstate. Long pull through sites. No need to unhook the tow. The sites closest to the office are less level than the sites in the middle of the campground. No shade on any sites making satellite access good. Wifi okay. Clean facilities. We will stay here again in our Motorhome. We camped at Hampton's Summer Wind RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is literally right off the interstate easy on and easy off. The pull thru sites are long and reasonably level. The object is easy stop for overnight but the view of the pastures below the hill and hills in the distant are great We camped at Hampton's Summer Wind RV Park in a Motorhome.

A camp host makes all the difference in the world. He went above and beyond in helping us after we came in late, due to a flat tire (5"bolt pushed thru sidewall). Beautiful, best water, easy pull through, hookups etc. Easy freeway access. Highway traffic barely heard. Took beautiful walks on rolling hills. Wish we could have stayed at week. One of the Best!! We will be back. We camped at Hampton's Summer Wind RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Convenient to interstate but very quiet. Grounds are very well maintained - campsites are level - management is extremely nice. When I called, the manager said he would be looking for us and greeted us at the gate. This is a great place to stop for the night and we would stay again if we are every passing thru. My husband and I agree, the bathrooms could use a little more cleaning. We camped at Hampton's Summer Wind RV Park in a Motorhome.

This little gem, which we found a few years ago using AllStays Camp and RV app, is the perfect distance from "home" if we've made a long pull and just want to rest before the last 3 hours Eastbound. OR if we get a late start headed Westbound and want to get some miles before we push for the Far West.

Lots are very close with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface is gravel. Sewer connection is clean and well maintained.

This is Exit 150 on I-64. Don't miss Tamarack at Exit 45 in WV, just a short way to the West.

Other reviews aptly describe what a NICE option this is for a quick overnight with FHU. We've come back over and over, and will stay again. The mist over the mountains is sublime. We camped at Hampton's Summer Wind RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The dining room is run by The Greenbrier, and is our favorite spot for a snack on the road. Easy access for diesel fuel at the stations. If Eastbound, easy access diesel fuel is at Exit 16 in VA, Covington.

Nice small, quiet campground right off the interstate 64. Excellent for an overnighter. Restrooms and showers were clean but old. No cable but you have local channels. Suggest you call ahead of time for reservations as it only has 10 full service sites and they appear to fill up early. Service checking in was outstanding as this is only the second campground that the manager meet us and showed us the site before we paid for later, that we have stay at. Highly recommend this little jewel of a campground. We camped at Hampton's Summer Wind RV Park in a Motorhome.

This little park is right beside the interstate, making a great overnight stop. We were rolling through and needed a place to plug in, since the temp was pretty hot. The manager met us at the gate, which was just a short 1/4 mile off of the interstate. Easy pull through with full hookups and plenty of room to keep the toad connected. We only hooked up to the 50 amp power. The site was level. The grounds were clean and well kept. Although close to the interstate, we noticed no road noise, but we tend to tune that out anyway. No trains. Great 5 bar verizon. Great Satellite and several channels on the TV. No trees, open terrain. Sites were close, but adequate without any difficulty. For an overnight, this was just great. We stayed here in a 39' motorhome with a toad. It was very easy to get in and just as easy to get out. We often pass through I64 and need an overnight. We will definitely visit again. No other amenities that we noticed, but we also didn't look. We camped at Hampton's Summer Wind RV Park in a Motorhome.
