We stayed for 3 nights. We had a reservation. Gal in office was very friendly and had our paperwork sitting on the desk. She took us to our spot#54 but as we pulled in I noticed #53 had better shade, 90 degrees out, She let us move to shady spot no problem. Very quiet, plenty of lenght 85 plus feet, ample room for slides and awning. Gravel roads, sandy grass parking. Clean water and good power at pedestal. Not to much for kids, basic play area, nice volleyball courts, ball diamond out back. Wifi was not working. She said a new company was working on it. Woods on all 4 sides of camp ground gives an up north feel. We were woken up by blue jays and cardinals every morning. NICE! GPS took us right to the driveway. Off the beaten path but really only 10 min from interstate. We'll come back here again. Stayed in 37foot travel trailer. We camped at Eagle Ridge Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Must see in area is Leinenkugal Brewery and the Leinie Lodge. We also discovered Irvine park, a city park with zoo. Very nice place. Plenty of ice cream shop and places to eat near by.

This was a refreshing stop for us after being in some bigger cities. Stayed 4 nights. We just really liked this place. Laid back. Has a nature-y feel since you're in the trees. Very dark at night for nice star-gazing. A small, mom-and-pop operation. Owners or main operators live on-site and I got the feeling that if we had any problems/questions, they'd be helpful. The gal was very nice on the phone when taking our reservation and when we arrived. It's a no-frills place, but we don't ever use laundry room, shower house, cable, yadda, yadda - so it was fine with us. If you want the Wifi code, you'll need to ask for it. Wifi worked for surfing websites, email, social media, etc. Also had multiple bars of AT&T LTE here. Site was a very long pull-thru; probably around 75-80'. At first I thought the trees would be a problem, but it was wide enough for our slides on both sides to come out and we could still walk all the way around our rig easily. We leveled with no problems and no need for extra boards under the jacks. The layout of the park is not even, meaning some sites face north-south, some east-west, some are spaced apart, some are closer together (this also depends on RV types). Interior roads are dirt/gravel, and are not very wide, but we had no issues getting in/out of the site, nor around the campground with our 40' fifth wheel. Never had to drive through a puddle and it did rain while we were there. All sites are grass, but ours seemed to have a bit more sand than what I saw on others. Set out our rug and that helped (and was not a problem with mgmt). Sewer hookup was further back from electric/water hookups, but our one hose reached fine. Had two picnic tables around our site, plus a really nice metal fire pit. Used our RV GPS to get us here, and we did not have to go through a roundabout; there were also signs to follow. The park isn't "in-town" so if you want to go to stores, etc. it's probably a 5-7 minute drive. We'd absolutely stay here again. We camped at Eagle Ridge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The $30 reflects the daily rate (there are no discounts) plus tax. Be sure to plan your route getting into this campground; there is no exit off of highway 53 at 50th street. If you come in by driving west on Canal Street from downtown, there are signs to direct you but the road is pretty rough. We came from Wausau on highway 29 and got on highway 124 via the roundabout, we did not see a campground sign until we were ¼ miles away from the entrance. When we pulled in, there were two police cars at one of the sites; whether they were visiting or at work, we didn’t ask. There were also two huge puddles in the main road that were unavoidable. We were assigned to a site with a huge dip right in the middle; when it rained, we would have been sitting over a big puddle. We revised our plans for a shorter stay and were reassigned to a corner site. We backed in at an angle in order to avoid another large puddle of water. Even so, the ground at our front step squished. Defined pads were non-existent. The new section of pull-through sites are grass and look pretty uneven. There seemed to be electricity and water at these sites, no sewer. One morning the septic service guy came and started his work at 6:30am. The only dumpster was over-flowing when we arrived; it was finally emptied two days later. It rained again the morning we left; more puddles in the campsite! As you can tell, we won’t be back. We camped at Eagle Ridge Campground in a Motorhome.
