The biggest problem was the internet. I realize that this was provided by another company, but it's a poor choice. My wife telecommutes and was unable to work all weekend because the internet was either nonexistent or far too slow to be usable. The entire place isn't really set up for a rig as big as mine (32' 5th wheel) I just BARELY fit into the tiny pull-through (113). I can't imagine if I'd had to back in! Upon leaving, it was just luck that the site across from us was unoccupied or I would have had to wait since there wasn't enough room for me to get out without clipping a tree! As it was, a root sticking out into one of your main "roads" caused a nasty ding on two of my trailer tires. I also found the store to be useless in terms of any food staples. I understand that they want to make extra money from selling all that merchandise, but that's not helpful to me when I'm missing a simple thing like mayo and cannot buy it without unhooking my trailer and driving into town. Speaking of them making money, I found their prices far too high for value received. Based on my experiences at RV parks across the country, I wouldn't be willing to pay more than $40-$50 a night for a park as rustic as Yukon Trails. The pool was quite nice, though small and crowded - at least it was properly heated and seemed clean, if too heavily chlorinated. Their staff is absolutely WONDERFUL. I dearly hope some of that enormous amount of money they charged me goes into their pockets as they are the only truly positive feature of this park. - Patrick Dieter
Jun 2019 - $1.00
Park advertises 214 spaces but all but 50 are taken by seasonal people. No laundry and restrooms were not set up for ADA. Way to many trees with lots of mud after rain. - geo cong
Jul 2017 - $54.00
Very nice, secluded spot that we were in. There were some nice features that the park offered (movie theater in the field, free swimming pool w/ kid's pool, $1 "train" ride for the kids, digger's site for the kids (which also cost money, but I'm not sure the amount for a weekend pass)). The park owner and staff was very friendly, and their store was fully stocked which was nice (since we forgot a thing or two). There were even a couple some extra activities available since we were here for 4th of July weekend. In addition, you're only a few miles from the Wisconsin Dells. - joshnichols84

We stayed here for a weekend mostly because it was close to where we live. We stayed in a full hook up pull through site that was amazing. Unlike most parks the pull through sites at this campground have you pull in horizontal with the campground road. The sites have plenty of space to pull in like this and fit most sizes of camping units. It also creates your own personal paradise between your camping unit and the woods. They also have a pool that was nice and clean. The restrooms were clean though the showers are pay showers. The campground also has a camp store. Near the campground is a restaurant and across the road is an aquatic park that you get a significant discount to use for staying at the campground. The wifi at our site was decent. Overall I don't have any complaints and we enjoyed our weekend here. - haplo777

Chapparal Campground & Resort has a beautiful campground. We were nearby the cabins which looked really nice. The campground itself is immaculate as are the showers and bathrooms. The seasonal people were friendly and welcoming. They have a really nice pool area which we did not have time to use. The restaurant has good food but it looks like it's out of the 1960s. Other odd things are the office really needs a lot of work, it just doesn't seem to go with the campground. Hopefully they are going to be modernizing it soon. While most campers quieted down at reasonable times there are no official quiet hours. Would not have been a big deal but there was a huge group of tents on the bottom of the hill below us. This site was not on the map and these people were partying until 3:00 am, all we heard was hoots and hollers and "thujmpa, thumpa". We didn't get any sleep the first night. We had the AC on the second night so it drowned them out. Our site was nice but sloped, had to crank down the tongue until it was almost touching the ground. However we did not need to level left to right. We went there to bike and it's only a few minutes from Elroy, WI. A half mile from parking for the 400 trail. - Timelode

Park is well maintained and in a very pretty area. We were on "the hill" and had a great view of the area. Owners try hard to keep the place clean and assure the guests are pleased. - PhredFromIL

If you like to bike, this is the place for you. They have bike trails that go forever. If your not into biking, its a OK campground. Nice grassy sites that are a bit on the small side. Nice pool that unfortunately they close for extended periods of time at the slightest sound of thunder. Owners are very nice. All in all its a nice place to stop if in the area. Not a destination campground in the least. We would go back if in the area. - bunny102
Aug 2009 - $38.00
This is a nice park right on one of the States best Rail-Trails. The sites are large and well kept. The staff are great! I would have given a 10 if they had full hook up. - Paul M. Kitchen
Aug 2005 - $24.00
This Campground is very nice and quiet. Small but spaces are nice and spacious, I have camped here several times, mostly in a tent, good size spots and bushes and trees around for privacy. At night lights to go to restroom great for safety. Ideal spots for pop-ups, and nice sized pull-throughs for my travel trailer. They also have more private camping in the woods. 2 nice big Restrooms with showers, and a great heated pool. If you like to bike this is a must visit, the Elroy-Sparta bike trail goes through the entrance of the campground, no need to transport your bikes somewhere. The trail is 32 mile and goes through old train tunnels. - oynky

May 2019 - $5.00
We were looking for a place to stay in the general area to break up a long drive. We arrived late on a Friday afternoon in early May. We stayed in a 25 foot MH. This was a great find. There was only one other camper and a CG host during our stay. There are 13 campsites, mostly level, grass surface, tucked into pine trees. The sites are relatively large and mostly shaded. All sites are primitive (no hook-ups). There is water from a pump. You can fill a container yet not directly fill an RV tank. There are pit toilets. There was adequate Verizon and ATT cell service. There's a canoe put-in within the park. - dsvt
May 2019 - $5.00
This park has no hookups. But if you just want to get away or just need an inexpensive place to park a camper or pitch a tent, then this is great. It is just a few miles off of I-90/94 which makes it a great overnight boon docking option for travelers. It offers a place to launch a small boat or canoe with a myriad of winding channels to fish and explore. They have nice well maintained sites with fire pits and you will never find the park full. I was there over a nice Memorial day weekend and it was less than half full. One caveat: Later in the summer, the bugs are THICK due to being surrounded by the lazy river. - Esox

Aug 2010 - $12.00
This small State Park campground is fairly rustic with pit toilets, no showers, and the water supply is with a hand pump. The pluses are a great swimming pond with a white sand beach and bottom. The camp sites range from very shaded to mostly open, but they are spaced apart very nicely. The negatives are the campground is alongside a local highway which does have some traffic noise and there is a railroad crossing across from the swimming pond so you hear train whistles at all hours. But the best part of this campground was the staff of very caring state park employees who were extremely helpful and raised up the score a point or two. - wildcat63

Nice park on Wildcat "Mountain" above the Kickapoo River which is a great river to canoe or kayak. There is about a 10% grade on the road going into the main family campground. I would give this park a 10 if there were a few electric sites for anyone. However, the only electric sites other than the accessible site in the family campground are in the equestrian campground . There are 72 sites total; the inventory is as follows: 25 sites in the family campground. 8 that can handle larger rigs and another 7 that could accommodate a small trailer the remaining 10 are tent only. 20 cart in sites that are obviously tent only 24 Equestrian sites, these are located down the hill from the family campground about a mile north of the park entrance. 3 group sites two with a capacity of 25 and one that will hold 50. - Snayte

The owners were very friendly and went out of their way to find us a dish friendly site. However, we got all set up and our surge protector went off 3 times in the first 10 minutes. We ended up having to leave as we had already blown up an inverter this year. - big foot
Sep 2009 - $18.00
A very nice, grassy, shady place and friendly owners. We accidentally hit upon this place during the Cranberry Festival, a local fest that draws 80 to 100 thousand people. We were lucky to get two nights without a reservation. - mycelia
May 2009 - $16.00
The owners were great--extremely friendly, personable, helpful, kind. They were a pleasure to talk to. Worked with us and our rig to get us the best spot for it (easy in/out). Helped back it in (as only one of us was available for that). The campground is mostly seasonal, but it was extremely quiet. They do not have a lot of recreational activities on site, which is fine with us. We don't use them anyway. Wouldn't necessarily recommend it for families with small children--no playground that we could tell. Great for exploring the area and using the lakes in the area. Would most definitely stay here again. - cobragt23

Sep 2019 - $50.00
The park was located right next to the freeway, so it was convenient for an overnight stop. The pull through was nice and long, so we didn't have to unhook....and they had two different sewer connections for those of us who didn't want to unhook our tow vehicle. The roads were a bit dusty. The restrooms were VERY clean, but the showers were very small. - SewBzzzy
Aug 2019 - $52.00
Not bad if you like camping on the shoulder of an interstate. Incredible road noise and enough dust from the access roads to think you were in the Oklahoma dust bowl. - Dennison
Aug 2019 - $70.00
This is a clean, well maintained park. As others have said it's close to the freeway, but fortunately it's not on a hill, or a super busy exit so it's more of a constant din of traffic. Owners are very friendly and pick up garbage, deliver firewood. Our kids rented one of the cabins on the other side of the park and it was very cute. It "seems" they tended to put the campers with many kids on one side, and us oldsters on the other, which was nice. Lots for the grand kids to do. WIFI signal was okay, but as is usual no bandwidth during heavy usage times. - camperkatie

It took some time to find someone to check us in, but we were treated in a very friendly and helpful manner. We were led to a long, level, and grassy pull-through. Be careful of overhead trees. Our lot had a low branch for fifth wheels. The cable, 30 amp, and Verizon were all good. Showers were hot and very clean. There was no sewer or Wi-Fi signal on our lot. It is easy on and off the highway for a reasonable price. We would return. - Nana2
Aug 2011 - $23.00
Older campground off the interstate. Numerous full-timers, few sites for overnight guests. You may have to hunt for the campground manager. Level, grass pull-through sites, shaded or sunny, you choose. Side by side hook-ups (W/E-30amp) and cable TV. There was a frog in one of the ladies showers! - thetravelkids
Jul 2011 - $23.00
Nice mom and pop park for an overnight, just off I-90 down the road from a KOA. For the price it is a good value. Cable TV, WI-FI, grassy spots, very friendly staff very willing to help. - Tom51

We camped here in June of 08'...Park was INFESTED with ticks! We set up our tent and equipment and then took it all down and left in 4 hours. If you stood still you would have ticks crawling all over you. My poor dog had over 20 ticks we had to remove off him. The site was on the shore which would have been cool if you could enjoy it. Mosquito's were bad too but the ticks were unbelievable. - cnacamper
Jun 2009 - $45.00
We stayed on a group site for about 2 hours before we all decided to pack up and go. I realize that this is not the parks fault but if you go here bring A LOT of mosquito repellent. We were outside a matter of about 20 to 30 minutes and came home with mosquito bites everywhere. Also, the group sites where we stayed were very difficult to find. The map we were given by the park had highlighted directions but the directions given did not match what the street signs to the sights said. Beautiful park but way too many mosquitoes for us. - Jason & Jennifer
